The Archlich |

I'm fine with the feats. In fact I think they add a fairly cool and different aspect to the game. Even if it doesn't exactly match the concept of my little crazy Bleepos Droppo, I don't mind being slightly "weaker" than another player if the party chemistry is working well. I'd be happy already to have my evil "pirate" goblin around :)

Artemis Moonstar |

Actually, Zedekiel's a Vampire (Angel-Kin Aasimar) Blood Kineticist who worships Alarchramas; a halfway decent "street-doctor" with very good bedside manner, which is why people don't expect him to put them to sleep ;). In the process of working out the profile for him now.
Who will apparently be affected by the nonlethal damage of burn (since the GM already said I will indeed take burn via PM, and thus that's my assumption). Which works for me, since I can run it as him taking burn = him feeling "alive again" since he was bitten and is turning against his will.... He's learning to enjoy it though ;-D
Finally figured out how I'm going to run the ability scores, which had been kicking me ass previously. Or, "How to make up for the fact that I'm losing 2 con at 1st and 2 more at 3rd before I hit undead and use Charimsa at 5th?". Think I'll just deal with it, and hope for a +con belt to make up for it.
Pretty sure he can keep up with the party. By the time 9th level rolls around and he gets the full template, near as I can tell, he'll be roughly party-level, assuming a higher level of party optimization than "middle-average".
... Yeah, in it for the long haul, as it were.

Korak The Boisterous |

Actually Artemis, I don't know about a con belt. but, uh, it really wouldn't help you at all that I can think of. But right now, most magic items seem to be something you'll be able to get. I haven't finished compiling but as far as I recall only one entry has the trapfinding class feature and his whole schtick is making things.

Korak The Boisterous |

I thought trapfinding is what commoners are for?
You just can't throw commoners at everything, think of the logistics man! You gotta keep them healthy enough to move forward under their own power, and able to leap away from traps so you don't have to use all your spares, you need your spares, you have to feed them too, you need cages to keep them all, guards, carts, horses, feed for the horses, on the plus side the commoners also count as food stuffs after they die in a trap.

Zedekiel |

Artemis' character, healer of the sick and injured, angel of mercy for the diseased and dying, at your service. I've got a wonderful bottle of snake oil to sell you.
It's a pleasure to meet you... Hope you guess my name.
-------
Fluff and crunch in the alias. Sorry it took so long, been laid low pretty much all day. I know Expert doesn't scream "Kineticist" much, but I thought the Vampire taint would cover that fairly well?
Zedekiel was born on one of Mitra's high holy days, to a pair of simple but devout commoners in one of the lower class districts. His father was a seamstress, his mother, a carpenter. Born with a glowing halo, it was blatantly obvious he was something special. A traveling monk of the Mitran priesthood confirmed that he had the heritage of the angels.
As one can imagine, his community immediately heralded him as a champion for Mitra. As a child, he was dragged around to his mother's job sites so that he could touch the foundation stones, and 'bless' them. The church found out about this, and was sent to investigate. His mother had been charging extra for a so called Mitran blessing, and made a small fortune off of it.
She was found guilty of fraud for how much she had fleeced the peasants, and even a few minor nobles. All of their money was confiscated, the house his mother built, and even a good portion of his father's stock. They were left penniless and destitute... His father found comfort in the bottom of a bottle.
The rest of his adolescent life was very much an unhappy one. He watched his father deteriorate into a drunkard, the fellow children and even the adults treated him as if he were some devil spawn, the only way he ate with any regularity was to steal it.
Eventually, he came across a wandering physician, a man known as the Pale Doctor, who would treat the common folk for free. It was almost miraculous, those that he treated got well very quickly, and some even seemed healthier than they were before. Others... Well, they died.
Zedekiel had the brilliant idea to mug the man during one of his operations. When he burst into the room through the window, he found the physician's teeth attached to the patient's throat. No, not teeth, fangs.
Zedekiel does not remember what happened next very clearly. He can recall a feeling of fuzzy contentedness coming across him. He remembers the patient being injected with some kind of water, and several vertbrae being removed. He then remembers being picked up by the Doctor, and taken out by the window. Then, everything goes black.
When he woke up, all was revealed. The Pale Doctor was a vampire, one in need of an assistant. Turns out, he traveled the land, getting his feeding from the terminally ill patients that would never had made it otherwise, and heals those who could have made it in any case. Oh, and, to make sure that Zedekiel wouldn't run off and inform the authorities, The Pale Doctor bit him so that he would turn into one of his spawn.
Thus, Zedekiel was brought into the web of deception and death the Pale Doctor had woven. Not that he minded, he was already filled with bitter resentment and hatred. As the Pale Doctor's apprentice, he learned additional tricks for survival. How to lie to people, how to get them to like you, how to look like someone else. He learned how to fix people, and started leaning how to brew simple antitoxins and antivenoms, along with the occasional drug to 'encourage' unsuspecting clientele.
Then, some years later, the Pale Doctor was found out. The Mitran order hunted him down, and put him to the stake. Zedekiel watched him burn with a twisted sense of pleasure and regret. After all, he had just lost the only father figure he really had after his mother's imprisonment.... Then again, he was the one who tipped off the Mitran order as to the Pale Doctor's true identity.
Over the next years, Zedekiel put the Pale Doctor's teachings to good use. He would be a wandering street physician, healing the sick and wounded for nothing more than the price of a small meal... And liberating his patients of the occasional shiny bauble or two.
Along his travels, he came across an obscure text referencing a daemonic harbinger, Arlachramas, lord of dehumanization, disposal, and euthanasia. The text made perfect sense to him. Within a very short order, Arlachramas had another worshipper, even if Zedekiel burned the text after reading it.
It was then that Zedekiel took on a common moniker. Kavor Krian, street physician, healer of the sick and injured. He continued his original training, healing and fleecing people of whatever he could, silently encouraging sickness in others. From then on, however, he had decided that those who were, in his opinion, too frail, feeble, or weak, needed to be put down.... After all, if anyone couldn't stop him, they didn't quite deserve to be called 'human', now did they?
He'd racked up quite a body count over the next few years, at least three or four a month, oftentimes more. He kept all valuables of the deceased, as per the agreement he would make before 'treatment'. Of course, when he tried that on a low-level noble's grandmother, it didn't quite work out. The damn brat only had to stay out of the room for a few moments more, and he'd have put her down. The old woman lived, and the exorbitant amount of gold he asked for in payment was used as the primary factor in the charge against him.
Thus, he was found guilty, and sent to prison with a smile. That was fine... He could feel himself changing slowly day by day. He'd wind up changing soon, even if his celestial blood seemed to have kept it at bay for years. He was nearly immortal, and he'd be immortal soon in any case... He had time...
Unless he was killed... Time was the one thing he did have.

Zedekiel, I like the character, and of course it's yours. But might I suggest this? It seems almost tailor made for your character. If you're interested and chosen I already have a copy so you won't even have to buy it.

That... Seems pretty damn cool. I'd have to see what it actually does before I get any real feel as to whether or not it'd fully fit. May actually change whether or not Zedekiel goes vamp (and would likely require a more or less re-work of some of the crunch). Still, seems like it'd work very well with it.

Korak The Boisterous |

Quick problem, my bad, should have caught this earlier, Drogeney, your character is built as a level 1 Oracle, you don't start with PC class levels, you start with 2 NPC levels. Answer this and I'll allow you to fix it, but I haven't seen you in a few days so if I don't I'm going to have to remove you from consideration.
Zedekiel, I'll send you a drive link.

Korak The Boisterous |

Here are the entries If I've forgotten you, please speak up. Since I fugged up with Drogeny I'll make my decision around midnight, which is 20 or so hours away.

Know what? Since this is probably the last time I'm ever going to be able to play the plaguewright as an actual evil psychotic "Kevorkian" doctor... I'ma take the Plaguewright. I can Blood Kineticist (Dh/v)ampir any old time.
This requires me to go in and change some of the ability scores around, but that'll be about it... Well, more skill points, of course. Hope you won't mind. Still going to stay the Angel-kin, be a bit smarter, teeny bit less charismatic, a teensy bit stronger, and just a bit more sickly (14 14 9 16 14 14, post racial and bitten adjustments).
Either way.... I think I been waitin' for this class my entire gaming life. I have to give it a try.

Isabella Deschain |

Eh, what's that Isabella? Happy there's another psycho doctor?
I mean, killing people is cool and all, but there's so much more to learn, so many more ways to help them, if you just take a little peek inside first.
Know what? Since this is probably the last time I'm ever going to be able to play the plaguewright as an actual evil psychotic "Kevorkian" doctor... I'ma take the Plaguewright.
He just gets me ;P
How many you thinking for the party, Korak? There are a lot of really flavorful characters on that list.

Korak The Boisterous |

Seth, I did miss Nox, my bad, that said, your backstory was extremely skimpy, I don't need anything huge, but I do need more than you were abused and you strangled your father with his own whip. Also, why do you have gold on your character sheet when you start with nothing?
Isabella, right now I'm tempted to make two parties to be honest, but I'm not sure I can handle that. I'm thinking 5 or 6.

Zedekiel |

Zedekiel offers a particularly charming gentleman's smile as he flicks the syringe. "Of course fair maiden, it is a physician's job to understand his patients. Now, just relax... This injection is going to make everything feel much better."
:p
That said... Now I REALLY would love to see how these two interact together. Dr. Moraeu, Isabella seems. Meets Dr. Kevorkian. Oh the banter I can imagine!
.... Though, honestly, I'd love to see everyone get in, but I doubt there's a GM in the world that could handle so many insane people... Erm... Characters, I mean.... Without it going off the rails.
Edit: Gods please, two parties. *Crosses fingers*

Drogeney |

Eep! Completely missed the starting with npc levels somehow. I don't think I'm going to have the time to fix it today, too much that I absolutely have to get done before and after work today. So I will bow out of consideration. One of these days I will get into this game, just not today. Thank you for the opportunity to fix things though, it is greatly appreciated despite my lack of time to do so.

Nox never had a real childhood. Not like the other kids. No. Being what she was, a half drow, a deamon, an abomonation, a humiliation, she had to grow up quick. Her father wanted nothing to do with her, short of killing her, he only made sure she had enough to live. So she had to help herself, fend for herself. If she went outside during the day, others would ridicule her, some kids even resorted to throwing stones at her. The grownup stopped them, but only out of fear of the law and what others might think of them. Never because of the actual deed
As she grew older, her father's resentment grew, soon scoldings, small meals were not enough. He began to beat her, whip her for every small transgression. From forgetting to close a door, to talking funny.
One day, he tried to beat her again, but his body was failing, he was not the strong man he use to be, and she was in her prime. She retaliated. Screaming as she turned on him. She flipped the table, she was now beating him, lash after lash after lash, she was crying, laughing in an unknown extacy. She now had the power...
Hours later she was on her way to Brandscar prison, still smiling as she open and closed her hands, the rush as she strangled her so called father still fresh in her mind. Yes. She had won...

Isabella Deschain |

Isabella is very much a Talingardian Dr. Moreau :)
I agree their interactions could be very entertaining. She'd likely disagree with Zedekial's end goals, but take great interest in his methods. They're sort of inverse in those regards; science is a means to wicked ends for Zedekial, while Isabella takes wicked means to reach her scientific ends.
It would be really awesome if you could manage two parties, but as I said I've never run one campaign, so I can't speak on the feasibility of it.

Korak The Boisterous |

Well since nobody besides Seth said their character was missing, I'm ready to announce. Bleepos, Isabella, Thanurtha, Zedekiel, Dexter, and Luckasz, you're crimes have been deemed the most heinous of recent times. You six are to be thrown into Brandescar prison until you're execution 3 days hence. May Mitra have mercy on your dark souls.

Korak The Boisterous |

Alas, alack, and alay! I didn't get in! Ah, well, maybe some other time when one of the lucky chosen is killed. Have fun, everybody!
Which brings me to my next question, who wants to be under consideration once one of these devilish fools gets themselves killed?
Seriously though, if I was confident enough in myself to run more than one game I would, none of you made this an easy decision, well, Luckasz did, only dedicated healer don't you know. Plus I love seeing AP specific stuff used.

Lukasz Alazario |

Yes, thank you for imprisoning me for simply speaking my mind on the inadequacies of the "great" Shining Lord. I promise to be a perfect^ tenant* during my time in these subpar` accomodations#.
^ to be read as indicating a desire or intent to be the opposite.
* to be read as an individual forcibly held in a location against his/her will and with limited means of egress.
` to be read as dismal, dark, dank, and wholly unappealing.
# jail cell
This is going to be fun. Don't worry though, I will keep the use of clarifications and addendums to a minimum. ;)
I just hope for the sake of everyone else that everyone doesn't decide to go the undead route as that would make the AP specific archetype I had planned much less effective. :P

Zedekiel |

"Hm hm hm..." The chains binding the mad 'physician' rattle ominously as his slender frail form shakes with barely constrained laughter. A single finger adjusts his spectacles at the bridge. "Three days? But how ever will I tend to the sick an injured?... Well, no matter. I'll just have to tend to some of my fellow inmates."
At this point, he turns to his fellow condemned. Placing a hand on his chest and taking a slight bow, he smiled with teeth a little too sharp to be normal. "I'm looking forward to working with you all."

My first PBP (on paizo) and it's WOTW? Score! Fist Pump! Various generic 1980s expressions of excitement!
Please be patient with me (still reading some of the "guides" on 'proper formatting').

Artemis Moonstar |

Bah, use bold for talking, ooc for out of character, italics for thinking and regular typing for actions, there's your proper format.
So, throw everything I know about creative writing out the window when it comes to dialogue. Got it. I'm exaggerating of course, but I'm a writer (and give the truth "scope"!) so it'll take me a day or so to get used to it.
Was stressing out a bit since I noticed other campaigns using different formats, so... Yeah.
