Payn, appearing perfectly normal, has her back to the buying and selling goings on, having little interest in the 'counting coppers' that merchants do.
She nonchalantly pulls her sword and starts peering at it closely, seeing it needs any work.
She also casts Shield, but that could mean anything.
Tired of not seeing posts here. Is everyone just gonna wait for me to do something crazy? =}

Lukasz Alazario |

Though he had not traveled much with Payn, he had been around her long enough to know that she wasn't one to draw her blade outside of two reasons, and now wasn't the time to be sharpening blades. Raising a hand calmly, he replied "Unfortunately, out other wares are already claimed. Bad for business to give it to someone else, even if they might be able to beat the offer. Pleasure doing business with you."

The Indescribable |

The man nods his understanding and they slowly drift away with you knowing you probably just derailed a slaughter.
The next two days pass without incident as the weather slowly gets colder, throughout the day it snows and the sailors bring out torches to warm the deck and deal with the ice building up from the sea spray. Progress slows as the ship breaks it's way through a thin layer of ice.

Allyson "Allister" Zoren |

Allyson releases her held breath as they sail beyond the psychopath's reach. She was praying that they could move along without interfering with their current mission. She can't bring herself to understand the woman's bloodlust, killing without purpose was foolhardy.
As the days and nights continue by, Allyson is glad to have her infernal heritage shielding her from the brunt of the cold, though it did little to still the rocking of the boat as it crashed through the ice. Nor did it protect her from the dampness of the snow. Never again would she travel without a cabin.

"I hope we don't get stuck in the ice," Payn says.
Is...is she trying to be cheerful? Perhaps this is some small quantum of hope from her? Some minor statement of joy, and a cheery thought that they make it through without further ill-fated accidents.
"Because then we have to eat each other."
Or not.

Lukasz Alazario |

As the temperature dropped, Lukasz went from calm stoicism to barely contained grumpiness as he worked to keep his body warm. He makes sure to spend any spare time, whether it is praying to his patron to grant him spells or simply looking out to the water, near a burning torch. "I am not meant for this kind of weather," he muttered to himself, occasionally looking to the horizon in front of the bow for indications that their destination neared.

Allyson continues to stay on her night shift watch, changing to sleep in the afternoon and rise in the evening. She found it easier to fall asleep in the "warmth" of the afternoon. Though, calling any of this weather warm was laughable. She kept to the torches as much as she could.
