You get another flash of the room you're in, but it's full of the ancient humans, and a steady procession of dead humans covered in white shrouds. Each body is placed on the altar, and then it rises, and walks out on its own.
Another vision shows another great battle between the humans and creatures, but this time the humans have waves of the "zombies" created by the altar. They fight like demons, with speed and dexterity of warriors in their prime, not the undead they are. They shrug off wounds, and no blood is apparent when they are cut open, and only fall for good when they are torn apart too much to move.
The last vision is of the fortress itself, and of the humans pulling a huge cage into the fortress, and wagons of gold, weapons, and armor. The vision wavers, and then all it shows it a pair of blue eyes in a darkened room, and the mounds of riches piled high.
A few words enter your mind after the visions.
The chest. The chest is the key. Veska must be stopped or all is lost.
For everyone else, nothing else in the room changes. The water remains still, and the walls continue to give off the luminescent glow.
Sorry it took so long to reply. Had a meeting who my old band the other day and it looks like we are getting back together and playing downtown again. Been busy with that, though my posting rate shouldn't suffer because of it. Glad to finally be able to post again!

'Sunny' |

Sunny peers into the darkness ahead...
Perception:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
"Least I dun't hear nuthin'..." She whispers.

Delben Petch |

As Delben steps towards the alter, he'll suddenly stop, rocking unsteadily as if he'd been punched. Standing there shocked as the visions flood into him, he'll suddenly snap back to consciousness with a shout.
"W-what was that..."
Knowledge: Geography: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35
Knowledge: Arcana: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Knowledge: Religion: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Knowledge: All the Rest: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
"Careful, I was effected by some sort of... vision. I saw this very alter used in some sort of battle between the ancient humans who built this fortress and some sort of enormous sea creatures leading golems and more. The humans used this alter to raise their dead to fight again, and later when the fortress was defended they buried within it an enormous cage as well as a mountain of gold and jewels."
Delden will look slightly surprised at the information coming from his mouth, but he'll continue nonetheless.
"Something... spoke to me. It said that the chest was the key, that this Veska must be stopped or all is lost... I know this all sounds strange, but I feel as if these visions, this voice was truthful."
Stepping a bit away from the alter, he'll look back at everyone with a somber look.
"I feel there is much to be gained here, but also more danger than I originally thought... But we are already here, lets continue forward."

'Sunny' |

Suny listens intently to Delben, her large expressive blue eyes growing seemingly even larger.
"So...this place bin built by these folks...but now is bein' used by tha' Sahaguin 'cause of whut tha' people's who built tha' place were doin'?" She asks, then shrugs,
"Not that stoppin' tha' Sahaguin doin' anything they be doin' in't a bad thing..." She adds philosophically.

Delben Petch |

"As soon as we find heads worthy of bonking. Perhaps down this hallway."
The gnome will say with no hint of mirth. Sloshing away from the alter, he'll head toward the right hallway, stepping down it's length.

Alistar Sinclair |

Interesting. I assumed this Veska was the ancient power they bargained with. If this vision holds any truth, Veska is just and invader here. Either way if jewls and tresure is awaiting then Besmara blessings be with us.

Olhas Zecuun |

Olhas will follow the group as well, maintaining his quiet and just keeping an eye or two out.
"It does sound like quite a nasty thing; whatever it is."
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
He also attempts to give himself some additional protection in case of danger.

Even as she scans ahead for anything untoward,
Perception:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

As you all begin to leave the room, in your minds you all hear a chorus of voices trying to talk to you at once, getting louder and louder until you can barely take it. Suddenly, they end and you see a vision of a man, smiling at you. His head is bald save for a winding tattoo that goes across his face, over his ear, and down the back of his neck. His eyes are a vibrant purple and his ears are gently pointed, though they are not elf, but human sized. He speaks in a language you have never in your lives heard, but you understand it anyway.
Patience, gentle Veska. We will return for the weapon when we finish off our enemy today. The Geas spell was necessary, you understand. I think we have paid you plenty of riches to play guard dog, no? As agreed, when we return, we will lift the Geas and you are free to go with your payment...
The vision fades, and is replaced with one of a massive fireball streaming through the sky, a massive explosion, and then blackness in the sky. The blackness turns into a doorway of darkness, and two vibrant blue eyes appear.
After that, the altar is silent.
The hallways remain still once you sort out what just happened in your heads, the water remains gentle and the floor tunnels remain undisturbed.
The hallway curves gently, and then ends in a collapsed mound of rubble. To circumvent this, a small tunnel has been carved into the side of the wall. It leads into the murky blackness of the sea.
Whew! That was far too long of a wait to post! I hope everyone is still with me! A lot of stuff came up all at once but I'm ready now to get this thing rolling!

Noro was just waiting, arms crossed, looking for enemies that may decide to try their luck against her.
finally people start to move out. finally, letsh find thish treashure and be on our way.

'Sunny' |

Sunny blinks back the visions swimming through her head...
"Uh...yeah...that were different...." She says, stretching her arms out as if to help regain her balance.
Unless the visions weren't for Sunny?
She other wise nods to Noro and the others and begins to carefully, quietly and cautiously wade down the corridor.

Harvey Dagger |

what in blazes was that? why where those things in my head? anyone else see a huge explosion?

Alistar Sinclair |

That was weird for me, and I have visions offten. Its hard to sort out. Was this to show us Veska is trapped and we could free it? I'm not sure lets just all be on our guard.

'Sunny' |

"Uh-oh...." Sunny whispers, glancing to her friends, even as she gets ready for possible combat.
Perception:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

Languages Common, Orc, Sahaugin

Init: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Some More Sahaguin are coming. be careful

'Sunny' |

Sunny crouches and braces...

![]() |

The sounds of bodies wading through the waist deep water is heard for only a moment, and the silence that follows is guy wrenching. Suddenly, in front of Sunny, the water explodes upward, and a sahaguin rears up, brandishing its trident. It screams loudly at her in common!
Glort! I find soft skins! Kill here! Brothers come kill with me!
If someone would be so kind as to roll everyone's initiatives for me, that would be great. I'm on my phone and it's a little hectic right now.

'Sunny' |

Pass on doin' tha' 'Initiative' thing. Tha' dice gods be too fickle fer me ta' want ta' tempt 'em. :P
Sunny, cannily aware that the water was deep enough for swimmin', wastes no time as the lead sahaguin begins to monologue simply,
Att Roll 1:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Dam Roll 1:1d6 ⇒ 3
Att Roll 2:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Dam Roll 2:1d6 ⇒ 3
Att Roll 3:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Dam Roll 3:1d6 ⇒ 4
And does a small amount of damage, even as she seems to blur into motion before disappearing beneath the waves herself.
Stealth:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14(Plus big bonuses as detailed below)
Slipping beneath the water and disappearing so as to get into position to flank and sneak attack.
Note: The idea is to fully submerge so as not to be seen at the water/air interface.
Note2: I (The player) understand that sahaugin (Damn, but I hate spelling that word :P) have some sort of 'electric' location system like sharks so not sure how much lower her +20 from invisibility is going to be compromised. The good thing is that the corridor is kind of crowded so, there is that.
Very much cheers to all. (^_^)

Does my attacks from before still count? Or should I roll 'em agin'?
Very much wishin' every one all'a best an' good cheer! (^_^)

'Sunny' |

Yay! Even though t'is all kind'a average, I spent a Ki point an' so t'is all gooder. (^_^)
Much cheers ta' all!

Attack 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Attack 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Damage 1: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Damage 2: 1d8 + 0 ⇒ (3) + 0 = 3

looking at the first Sahaguin that I can see, I am going to fire both shots at it and then take a 5ft step back

![]() |

Harvey's two shots ring out, both bullets penetrating the sahaguin in front of Sunny. It howls in pain, and it's scream grows even louder, and angrier, when Olhas's bolt bounces harmlessly off of it's thick scaly chest. Sunny connects with one of her swings, drawing a bright red line of blood across its arm before disappearing into the water, her naked, lithe legs visible for only a second as she darts away.
The sahaguin fixes its glare on Harvey, not even the least bit concerned about the island elf, and lets fly its trident.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
As the water froths and churns with battle, a second sahaguin bursts out of the water behind Delben, and brings its trident down on him from above.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

'Sunny' |

Ha! Two can be playin' that game!
Okeys, am putting this under a spoiler so as ta' heighten tha' "Vanish" trick. (^_^)
Sunny has two rounds worth of 'vanish', but she'll try and use as little time as possible to get behind tha' scaly bugger who's just popped up behind Delben.
Sneak Att 1:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24(Against their Flat footed AC, I believe?)
Att Roll 2:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17(Against normal AC)
Dam Roll 1:1d6 ⇒ 4
Dam Roll 2:1d6 ⇒ 6
All right! Good numbers there!
(^_^)

unfortunately Sunny, Noro goes before you can do that so there may not be one for you to attack
When a fish man leaps out behind Noro's new captain, she reacts as quickly as possible.
rushing forward and dive tackle the fish man.
grapple attack: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (16) + 18 = 34
Noro suffers no grapple penalties while grappling so her AC remains unchanged

'Sunny' |

Hey! Is okeys Noro. Gettin' tha' job done! That's whut t'is all abouts. (^_^)
