"Hm, this room seems to be the final stop, a most vivid display indeed. But I do wonder what lies in the room before this one?"
Delben says as he stares at the trail of blood leading to the door across the hall.
"Why don't we find out..."
He'll say as he wades back into the hall. Doing his best to be stealthy, Delben will crack the door and peer into the room beyond.

'Sunny' |

Suny straightens, absently running her fingers through her wet mop of blond hair. She looks to Alistar,
"It's like Delben says. There be a trail whut leads that-a-way." She points in the direction that the Gnome is moving.
"Whut I find rilly odd izz'at the trail seems ta' have been here afore tha' waters. It be left on'a ground...not floatin' in'a waters, like..." She blinks...still obviously puzzled by what she's found. Then shrugs and begins to move after Master Petch.

The room across the hall is the same shape and size as the one you just left. (A 20ft by 20ft square.) The floor in the middle of the room is cut about five feet lower, and is a giant grate, which is hinged, and currently open. sort of like an inground pool, making the middle of the room about eight feet under water, and the rest of the room three feet under water. The trail of blood leads to the grate. Nalgi's sharks swim around the grate, weaving in and out, almost as if they're saying this is how they got into the dungeon in the first place.

'Sunny' |

After the DM's description.
"Ooo!" Sunny exclaims, sliding beneath the waters and slipping down to peer into the depths.
Perception:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12Low light vision for Elfs. (^_^)
Peering over the edge of the shaft, not floating down into it. Does this in any way link back to the rilly big chamber we saw earlier?

![]() |

It doesn't link back to the big chamber, but to the open sea. What used to be a giant metal fence takes up a very large area under this room, but has fallen into disrepair over the centuries, and has no purpose now except to give a clue as to what this area used to be, as there are holes in the fence large enough to fit a small merchant boat. In the general area of where the tunnel you saw earlier, you see the underwater part of the island, letting you know that wherever that tunnel led to, it was inside the island. You also see several large sharks swimming lazily around inside the enclosure, and as soon as they see you, they start swimming straight for you.
Im trying to do the best I can to be mega descriptive of this place so you can understand its layout since I don't have a map to show you yet. Am I doing good enough?

'Sunny' |

Um...kind of...
Sunny blinks in surprise at what she sees, though she wastes no time in quickly slipping around to the grate and beginning to try and close the lid. Popping to the surface so as to gain more leverage, she exclaims,
"Finny's! Incomin' an' I dun't think they's a kin ta' them whut's swimmin' with us!"

I am a little mixed up but I think I can manage, are we all wading through 3 feet of water? or is there some dry "land" along the way
Noro sees the "frail" Sunny struggling with the grate so she dives in to assist her in closing the grate.
strength check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
EDIT: OK I take back that frail bit...but one day I will be strong.

'Sunny' |

Yah..when tha' dice roller wants ta' suck? It do suck. I'd give ye a hug, but we's rilly busy right now![/smaller]
"Lift with yer legs! Push with yer back!" Sunny calls encouragement to Noro and any one else trying to assist her in closing the lid before their guests arrive.

'Sunny' |

Continues to try and drop the lid on the parties impending, finny, problem.
Jus'a lil' post ta' keep things bobbin' along. (^_^)

Nalgi and Harvey rush to the grate, helping close it. The sharks, arriving right about the time the grate is shut, don't try to attack the party, but instead swim around in lazy circles, almost as if they are waiting for something. Nalgi looks into the grate curiously, and remarks
They aren't trying to attack.... And they aren't acting surprised to see people here.... You know, sahaguin keep sharks around as pets and mounts, what if this is where they feed them? It doesn't explain the thickness of the blood though.... I have heard of some poisons that make the blood so thick the creature dies from it, but those creatures usually live farther out in the ocean. Delben, what do you think?
Harvey peers into the grate at Nalgi's comment and shrugs.
Bah, they be lookin' like another bad beastie ta me. We best be watchin' out, might em be other nasty shocks in this place..

'Sunny' |

Sunny breaths a sigh of relief with the closing of the grate/lid...relaxing by simply floating for a moment. She listens to Noro's words, but had no knowledge or advice of her own to offer. At Alistar's suggestion Sunny flips over and swims quietly to the last door.

As Sunny swims out into the hallway, a bit of movement catches her eye. Coming in though the hall, and entering the room with all the bodies, is a huge creature, that Sunny recognizes as a Eurypterid. Known to some as sea scorpions, eurypterids are aquatic crustaceans that blur the line between their terrestrial cousins and lobsters. It doesn't notice the elf, as it drags the corpse of a gmhuge fish into the trophy room. Following behind it are two sahaguin, who have their spears at he ready and are actively looking for threats. The Eurypterid seems more concerned with its meal than intruders, however.

sunny, that was ooc, but link text and ooc text have the same color
also are we all swimming underwater? or are we wading through water or something else?

![]() |

Unless you are in the dead center of the room, you are wading in three foot deep water. The center is set lower than the rest, to allow sharks to swim in for various reasons, like patching battle wounds. So far, the dungeon has been sunken in water three feet deep (save for the center of the room you are in.)

Delben Petch |

Responding to Nalgi, Delben will muse,
"Hm, I think they might feed these animals older corpses, blood does tend to become thicker with age. Other than that I am not quite sure... Let us try that other door then Alistair, a good suggestion."
Delben wades through the room after Sunny.
Hopefully hearing the incoming Sahaugin before fully exposing himself.

'Sunny' |

My schedule is all kinds of crazy atm. You may have to bot Sunny in the coming fight. Don't forget, she has a net she can use to help catch/hinder the nasties! (^_^)

Alistar Sinclair |

Alistar will pull his long spear and get in range of the door. Upon seeing them he will call out in Aquan.

Urlak and Laurastine see the same thing, and begin readying the ships for battle with the sahaguin. Urlak roars to the crew whilst giving orders and getting Harvey's men
One o' ye, go warn tha cap'n and officers! They be needin' ta know there be company a comin'!

Olhas Zecuun |

"Consider it done..." Olhas speaks quickly, strapping gear tightly to his body as he begins his trek to get to the entrance the crew went through. Right before heading in the "entrance," he pulls a wand from his pouch and taps himself, giving himself the blessings of some magical protection. Mage Armor
Just to make sure, basically the group of these sanaguins split in two; one part went through the "puddle" and the other half followed the crew? Is that right? If so...
Following the creatures on the trail of the high crew, the human(oid) makes his way after them, giving plenty of distance, in hopes that the ensuing battle will put the enemy in between him and the crew.

![]() |

Be makin' it quick then, last thing they need in them ruins is an ambush by shark freaks.
He then turns back to the ship, continuing to prep for battle.
Yes, that's correct. Your plan is also correct, in that the sahaguin and the monster will be caught between yourself and the group.
I'm going to assume that Alistair allows everyone to make their preparations before hollering.

![]() |

The beast tries to go into the room full of bodies, but the sahaguin prod it viscously with their spears, prompting a loud screech. It turns the corner and sees the group, and drops the fish, crouching low to ground, and brings its tail up into an attack position, just like a scorpion. The sahaguin round the corner right after, and brandish their spears. One shouts in aquan, the other in broken common.
You not go farther! We feed you to the sharks!

Olhas Zecuun |

Depending on how things work out tomorrow, I may or may not be very busy, so just consider this my early action.
Olhas, with the hood of his cloak covering his face, responds to the taunting sahaguin.
"Your sharks will be a bit too full with your corpses, I'm afraid!
And with that, his lungs unleash an unearthly scream to rival any banshee's voice.
Casting a Persistent Ear-Piercing Scream. So, DC 19 Fort save for the two Sahaguin, since I'm assuming they'd be within 35 feet, hopefully. If they succeed on the first save, they'll need to make a second save. If they fail the second, then they'll still be affected fully. A successful set of saves halves the damage and no daze. A failed save, means dazed for a round and take...
Sonic Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11
And with that...I'm out for the night!

'Sunny' |

Sunny sidles up to the edge of the door frame and begins to wriggle out of her netting...She indicates if some one wants to move to the other side of the door...
That ways, we can be catchen' 'em in'a middle an' be throwin' tha' net over them! (^_^

![]() |

The Eurypterid would trigger Noro's readied action.
cool, then that was 11 damage to the Eurypterid (assuming a 31 hits)

'Sunny' |

Sunny, just out of curiosity, the netting is your only clothing... Right?
At work.
Umm...on a technically? Yes? 'Cause it be all a whut I be wrapped in?

So.... when not in the net, you're naked?
Noro, yes, that definitely hit.

So.... when not in the net, you're naked?
Ummm..yes? *Points to fish people* Theys got they's fins all hangin' out. No ones been sayin' nuffin' 'bout them bein' all scaly an' on show an' stuffs.(>_>)
May need ta' be botted. Sunny will attempt to throw net over best/closest opponent.

'Sunny' |

At work.
Will be at work for nother eight or so hours. Bot away.
Thank'e fer tha' compliment. (^_^) Not sure if I do like bein' called all 'flavourful', though. (>_>) Sounds like I be gona get all eated...
