Sahaguin 1 makes his fort save against Olhas's scream
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
And fails. Between Noro, Harvey, and Olhas, both Sahaguin fall before ever getting to try to attack.
Sunny smiles brightly and says Wella, tha' be durned inconvein' 'ent. I dun' gots no one wha' ta net up! and drops her net, draws her sword, and attacks the Sea Scorpion, while staying out of the way of its vicious stinger.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 10
Noro's blow is powerful, damaging the Sea Scorpion. Both Alistair's and Sunny's blows bounce off of its chitinous armor. It screeches is agony and anger, flicking its tail back and forth, waiting for a moment to strike.
Initiative Order:
Harvey

Sahaguin 1 (dying)
Delben << We are here
Nalgi

Delben Petch |

Yeah, I've got to pick up a rod of that!
Seeing how effective the group is at downing these dangerous shark-men, Delben will save his spells and instead spur on his allies with an inspiring beat. Alternating beats between his fingers and the wand, Delben will weave a surprisingly complex rich song from his little drum, accented by his quiet humming.
Activate Inspire Courage, +2 to attack, damage, and saves vs. fear.

'Sunny' |

We's winnin', right? (>_>)
Much cheers an' all'a best wishes ta' all! (^_^)

Alistar Sinclair |

to speed things along after you bot Nalgi and the scorpion goes here is my round.
Attack Spear: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Alistar repostition his feet to have a better base to drive the spear home. Hearing the words of inspiration the spear finds its mark.

Nalgi lets out a loud battle cry, leaping at the Eurypterid, attempting to drive his trident with both hands into the creature's face.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
His blow slides off the creature's armor plating, and it responds with it's tail, whipping it back, and driving it at Nalgi's chest with as much force as it can muster, so fast the eye can barely follow.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
It follows its tail with two swipes at Nalgi's midsection with its claws, and a vicious screech escapes its sharply toothed maw.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Damage 1: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Attack 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Damage 2: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
With a deft spin, and an expertly placed block with his trident, Nalgi evades and blocks every attempt by the Sea Scorpion!
When Nalgi spins out of the way of the creature's second swipe, Alistair follows right behind him, driving his spear into the beast, twisting it and driving it as deep as he can! The creature gurgles on its own blood, and falls to the floor in a twitching heap. After a massive convulsion, it stops moving entirely.
Combat Over! Nice job!

Delben Petch |

Heh, love that one
"Well done again everyone, these Sahaguin certainly seem less fearsome than their reputation. And thank you for your timely aid."
Delben will say, nodding to Olhas.
"I hadn't realized there were any arcanists on board the slave ship, you seem more than capable, if you wish to aid our expedition I'm sure it will be more than worth your while."
The grim Gnome will say with a slight smile. Delben will wring out his over-sized overcoat with a grimace, only for it to become soaked again as he wades back into the water that goes up to his neck.
"Well on to the next one I suppose."
Delben will wade out to the next door, attempting to peak through the rotted wooden slats if he can.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Olhas Zecuun |

"Oh yes. Unfortunate position to be in, really..." He smiles slightly. "But I think things should be better now that I'm out of the hold."
He looks at Delben's wringing of the overcoat and shakes his head. "I have yet to understand why so many people prefer to be dry..." And with that , he wades happily into the water, grinning and seeming much more relaxed, swimming around with the natural movements of a fish.
"The next what?" He says before diving underwater and tries to peak through as well.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

'Sunny' |

Sunny simply drapes her net over a shoulder and continues along with every one. (^_^)

'Sunny' |

"Nup. I is fine." Sunny replies, even as she adjusts the folds of the net around herself. (^_^)

'Sunny' |

Wishin' ye all'a bestest! (^_^) Whut's ta' play? We's bein' sneaky wiff a door... (>_>)

Harvey Dagger |

perception check: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
to see what is around and keep an eye on the Capt.

'Sunny' |

Sunny peers around as well...helping people as best she can at peering at things.
Perception:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
And... it looks like she's completely distracted by something else. :P

Peering into the cracks of the double doors reveals a large room, about sixty feet by sixty feet, a square with rounded corners. Whatever it used to be is of no consequence, as the sahaguin have completely... remodeled it. On the far wall, a ten by ten foot stone platform is built onto the wall, and stands almost ten feet high, with two sets of stairs on wach side. On the platform is a large altar made of driftwood, just about the right size to hold a medium sized creature's body. This realization comes with the sight of the dried blood that is on the side, and spilling onto the platform itself.
The walls of the room are painted in the same manner as the hallway, the natural oceanic colors and sweeping whorls and ripples. A luminescent mold is growing along the top of the wall, right by the ceiling, giving the room an eerie green sheen.
All over the floor, large puddles of water ripple and shimmer with the green light the mold is giving off.
On the east and west walls are doorways cut into the stone.
The room appears unoccupied.

'Sunny' |

Sunny wrinkles her nose at the scene, but indicates to every one else that the way is clear. With the door opened she slips into the room and carefully pads across the floor towards the large platform.
Perception:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Stealth:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13

Alistar Sinclair |

A place of sacrafice for sure. Lets see if anything interesting is here
Alistar will cast detect magic and scan the room, then Detect Evil and scan.
are there any exits to the room?

Delben Petch |

Delben will wait cautiously at the entrance, letting Sunny stealthily scout the room. Taking a cue from Alistair, he'll cast Detect Magic into the room, curious to see if any magic still lingers from the rituals that undoubtedly take place regularly.

The altar radiates a faint neromantic aura. The water in this room is still about three feet deep, though it's so still that it doesn't look like there is any water on the floor at all, save for the "puddles" like the ones outside. The water in those areas is darker, and ripples slightly every now and then. On the rare occasion, a bubble will rise and burst from them. A close inspection shows that just like the one outside, they lead deep into the floor, into tunnels of blackness. The doorways both lead into hallways that curve off into the distances.

'Sunny' |

"Oooo..." Sunny notes the 'Holes' and tells her companions about them, "Jus' so no one goes an' falls in, like." She whispers. Coming to a halt before the altar, she wait the others to see which way they want to continue...
"Unless some one thinks there might be somat on or under tha' altar?" She asks quietly.

Delben Petch |

"No sense leaving a stone unturned I suppose."
Delben will say, stepping into the room.
"I admit, I dislike the thought of being surprised by any more Sahuagin, but I doubt these watery tunnels lead to anything but their dens."
Delben will take a look at the Alter, curious as to it's purpose.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

'Sunny' |

Sunny at least positions herself in such a way that she'll (Hopefully) be ready for any surprises that come jumping out of the nearest hole to the altar.

![]() |

Noro just wades around in the water. I thought thish wash shupposed to be shome hidden old city? sheems like itsh jusht a fish market. Noro is kinda bummed at what they explored so far.

'Sunny' |

Sunny wades over and peers around the edge of the door on the left, taking her time so as not to rush the folks poking about with the altar.
Perception:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 She glances back at Alistar,
"There be nuffin' wrong with a lil' swimmin'..." She says.

![]() |

Those who approach the altar begin feel a slow wave of dread wash over them, and it gets stronger the closer they get. About five feet away from it, you feel it probe into your mind, trying to communicate with you.
Will save for those approaching closer than five feet.
There is nothing within sight down the hallways except more of the luminescent algae, and the gentle curve of the stone walls as they bend in the distance.

'Sunny' |

Am pretty sure I din't go any where near tha' messy thing. :P
Will Save:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 (Jus' in case, like)

Harvey Dagger |

I prep my guns and get them ready for any action, I am standing next to Capt to ensure his safty

Olhas Zecuun |

Olhas remains quiet, his hands outstretched. as he prepares for anything that might come out of the holes in the ground. He also makes sure to maneuver in such a way to keep people safe from the fire beginning to lick at his fingertips.
Basically holding in case something comes out, in which case, there'll be some Burning Hands.
