Rufus is good with anything. He's still trying to figure how Spencer didn't get blown up...
Any advice on what I should take for our level up?

I say we for now go to Palatka and rest, we can decide what's next after. And callin' the 'Hood may prove a sweet idea if we get a squad to support us. Or three.

Redbeard the Scruffy |

...Anyone have Knowledge (battle) or familiar with the Mass Combat rules?
For...reasons...totally unrelated to the BoS taking on a ton of mutants in an all out war...

Redbeard the Scruffy |

I'm not saying there's an army in the vault; but if you SHOW UP with one army another will not be far behind. People get nervous when large groups of heavily armed men move in unison.

![]() |

Ey, an all out war seems a tad excessive...
But a small kill-team deployed via vertibird or -if there are any- using a secondary entrance to the vault...
With superior tactics, armour, firepower and surprise we could make it.
Other option could be luring the main forces outside somehow and then using said kill-team to wipe the remainders and then fortify the vault and catch them in a crossfire of mofos inside and snipers outside.
That said we should wak that way carefully, not only because we may die... we may force the MONGREL HORDE(tm) to wander around and bring chaos to the region.

Spencer Collin |

I'm thinking expelling them from the Vault--preferably by killing them--is definitely a higher-level assault type deal. We'll want to gear up and gain experience before tackling that. For now, to Kingdom, and then to reassess our plans. In character we might make another push, but I think in the end we'll want to hit somewhere else to get a little tougher before we make a strong attempt for that Vault.

Mickey Rios |

Well we do have those Raiders in Tampa with the Mesmetron. Mickey would be thrilled to take on those guys.

Mickey Rios |

Very busy weekend. Catching up now. Sorry if I delayed anything.

Mickey Rios |

Did someone tally up the loot from our super mutant massacre?

Redbeard the Scruffy |

Hey guys, I'm in a Dragons Demand game that seems to have lost a player. GM is giving him a bit of time to reply, but I told him I have hyperactive posters in both my games, so if you're interested, this is a heads up...they may want a replacement, and I recommended my players. So if you're interested, lemme know, and I'll tell the GM. We have a half drow Unchained demon summoner (me), a lizardfolk barbarian, and I believe our gun wielding paladin is human. We're waiting to hear back from our half elf occultist who hasn't posted in quite a while.

![]() |

I cant believe it... you are in that game? I was one of the dwarven clerics that tried to get into the game hahahahahaha! I don't know if I still have that profile but tell your DM that Roghar the dwarven Cleric -or whatever you need- is still interested

Redbeard the Scruffy |

I'm the only original player left it seems. GM started it specifically for people who are GM's in other games to "pay back" the community. Two players flaked before the first combat. His replacements he's brought in are good, though.

![]() |

Well, that's sad... but it's worse when the one flaking is the DM. It happened me only once but it hurted anyway... such a promising game.
Anyway, I'm always in for more rp,so tell him I can join when needed. The only thing I'd need are character creation guidelines (which I can look over the recruitment thread) and some tip on what's the party lacking or needing.

Redbeard the Scruffy |

I noticed nobody can disable device...so any archetype with trapfinflding would be my opinion. We have two solid tanks (three if yoh xount my eidolon), and a semisolid healer, but no solid caster if the occultist doesn't stick around. (Thus if we need you) as I'm only a 6 caster, not a full 9.
My recommendation would be either alchemist with trapspringing archetype or investigator...or a seeker sorcerer, or maybe a witch to get full caster and backup healer...same could be said for druid. Do what you want, though...I just like brainstorming ideas.

![]() |

I've been itching to play a full caster -in 6 years of gaming I've only played a combat focused cleric and a 3.5 beguiler in terms of "full casters"- so a Seeker Sorcerer seems like a nice and amusing idea!

Redbeard the Scruffy |

I don't really know how explosives work in real life, if you can just put a chunk of them together. I imagine stability becomes an issue, unless they're individually encased, in which case there's no point. If you're willing to risk instability, I would still put a cap of 10d6, which is fat man damage.

Sundakan |

Essentially I'd just be utilizing the "cascading explosion" effect. One grenade going off sets off the grenades around it, for massive damage.
I could do something fancier (pull out the actual gunpowder and such and pour them all into the same container, then rig the charges and do all the fiddly bits required to make sure it explodes rather than takes off like a rocket or fizzles) but then it wouldn't be a Jury Rigged project!
So basically all I want to do is duct tape some grenades together, be able to pull the pin on one, toss it, and pray (and/or hook some up to a Frag Mine).
Alternatively, if we know where the Deathclaw is by the end of this, and it hasn't spotted us, set up some "Grenade Bouquets" like in the games.
What would the DC for these various things be, if any?

Redbeard the Scruffy |

The wiki says they're a cluster of the MFC grenades, which themselves are a weaponized cluster of MFC.
In either case, a bundle of frag grenades should do about the same. Maybe a little more. I may make it more efficient if you explode out the Wazoo on your repair roll.

![]() |

Ey, I have MCF cluster grenades. Can we use them as a makeshift blueprint? Just so we know how wiser people did it before us.
By the way, Papa will help you... just let me hold the shield at the front and take a step back.

Redbeard the Scruffy |

Yeah, that'll give +1, and your aid will give another +1, cancelling the -2 penalty..
But you have to be in the thick of it to help. Holding tools, pointing to wires, that kind of thing. No risk, no reward.

Spencer Collin |

Since several of you are in my Deadlands game, figure it isn't too bad form to post in here letting you know I finally updated over there. Doesn't seem anyone's checked in yet, so I figured I'd check here in case you lost the dot or anything.

![]() |

Nah, I was just kidding with not getting closer... sort of hehe.
Marcus will help Fitz completely.

Redbeard the Scruffy |

I got it. I'm working. Figured I'd let others update first and prioritize these parts I'm GM in.
Also, it would be RP of "shucks, where's the critter?" So I figured I'd follow another person's leading, gracious leader Cornelius is.

Mickey Rios |

Sorry for the delay been very distracted with my dog's health. Good news. My dog is gonna live. Bad news. I know have to pay $60 a month for her medication for the rest of her life. There goes the video game budget.

Redbeard the Scruffy |

That sucks. My mom's dog got cancer and she was shelling out for vicodin and vet visits for a year before I could convince her to let the girl go. Poor thing was in so much pain.

Spencer Collin |

I'm not fully out of the woods yet with being busy; I'm back enough to keep up with pretty much all my games, but I'm still on some crunch time til tomorrow afternoon. As far as this game goes, I'm keeping track, but I'm not sure what to post just now. Searching the station sounds decent though.

Redbeard the Scruffy |

The website bugging out is keeping me from having access via my phone. Only my computer will log on - and I only have computer access at work during my breaks, not at home. If I am on much less frequently, it's due to that. Hopefully, with the bundle sale being over as of about six hours ago, the website will get back to normal and i can log on with my phone soon, but who knows?
Also, wtf can I get on with a computer with NO ISSUES but the phone not at all? Weird.

Redbeard the Scruffy |

So...the other party seems like it might head to Dome or Kingdom.
I wonder, if you organically happen to be at the same place if you'd like to run into one another somehow.
Or if that would just be a cluster-f***.

Rufus Atherton, Cowpoke |

I am GMing this weekend at a local con so I will be out of commission until Monday.

![]() |

Well, I'm all in for crossovers, but that may a pain in the ass for you so maybe we aren't the ones who should decide hahahahaha!
