I think we got a chance to finish these guys off. But if you really wanna make a break for it, we need to finish off the nightkin.

Given all the suppressive fire this guy has been dropping, I hereby name the mutant leader "Cyril".

I love Archer.

Moved the discussion here to keep main thread flowing.

That is an awful story, Marcus. That's why I always keep 1-2 NPCs available to jump in that the players can choose if their PC gets curb stomped.

I also just really like making characters, so that's sort of an excuse.

Well, it can be even more awful. That time we've been dying to get a game going for months and I called everybody and prepared everything. The campaing died during the second session xD

On the other hand, the ones that didn't flake became my main group and we've been playing for 4 years now.
So even from sad times you can make something nice.

Yeah, the reason I started PbP is the people I game with make it a habit of flaking.

Like, every single group I've ever been in for over ten years.

"Real Life" gets in the say, supposedly. It never gets in the way of them going out to the bar, or playing videogames or anything else, just anything thst requires meeting a regular schedule like an adult.

I didn't plan this twist, but when I noticed every mutant grunt had a single grenade and all three bodies were in the blast radius, it was too perfect to resist

Somebody with better social skills ought to pipe up. Putting the ghoul with the alcohol issues and disadvantages of Mean and Big Mouth in charge is a bad, bad idea.

New Vegas is the Fallout I played less -only ~200 hours hehe- so I can't know who exactly they evolved from, but you don't have to be a handsome afroamerican 'Hood Knight to recognise the Caesar's imprint.

And I have to say, I never knew that Wounds applied to the death Vigor check. That is brutal. I'll keep that in mind for my next Savage Game.

I'm tempted to buy off my Ugly hindrance, but I think I'd rather live with it awhile.

I'm thinking that the sledge hammer had a nasty chip in it that ripped off a chunk of Mickey's face on his left side.

By the way I totally was blown away (pun intended) that Spencer took ALL THE DAMAGE with that soak. I thought hed walk away with three wounds at least.

Male Something similar to human, but one can never be sure without a DNA test Slacker - 3, Gamer - 2, Nerd - 2, Geek - 2; Eldrich Napper - 7

Anyway, Mickey, yeah, that's why it says you die on a result of one OR LESS. Otherwise only snakeyes would ever kill you. Nope, wounds, fatigue, and in my game, even radiation, all apply to the roll.

Male Human | 3/3 Bennies | Parry 6, Toughness 9 (2) | Wounds 0 | Pace 5, Charisma 0

Hmm. Actually, I'm rethinking my choice of Advance. Weapon Handling's better for me up to the point of using the weapons I want, since Spencer isn't the type to use a minigun. I think for now I'll just take Marksman, get Aim as long as I'm not moving around. That can also help make up for the Strength penalty, actually, so I can still use the new rifles! Especially if Spencer has a chance to set up as sniper.

As for the grenade, I was at least partially thinking he was going to straight up die, perhaps. It was worth it regardless, but tanking the whole thing.... damn.

Okey, I need input on what advantage to take. On one hand I want to choose something appropiate for the character development and stoy so far... on theo ther hand Marcus needs more defenses.

So right now I'm looking at boosting Vigor or Spirit to d8, the Combat Reflexes and the Level Headed edge -the last one less deffensive but good all around-.

So what advice can you guys give me? Doesn't have to be a choice from those, you all know the system more than me.

Male Something similar to human, but one can never be sure without a DNA test Slacker - 3, Gamer - 2, Nerd - 2, Geek - 2; Eldrich Napper - 7

Strong Back or a Strength boost will let you wear heavier armor.

You can never go wrong boosting Vigor. Pretty much the most important stat to survival.

Taking into account the last update you made to carrying capacity and that I have the Brawny edge...by how much do I multiply STR to know my carrying capacity?

I will base on that if I boost STR -which give me the added benefit of even more melee damage if I use the super sledge or when I build Excaripbur- or VIG.

Male Something similar to human, but one can never be sure without a DNA test Slacker - 3, Gamer - 2, Nerd - 2, Geek - 2; Eldrich Napper - 7

I believe I said 10x for brawny. May have to scroll up/back and double check.

Male Human | 3/3 Bennies | Parry 6, Toughness 9 (2) | Wounds 0 | Pace 5, Charisma 0

I'd say shoot for the Vigor boost, it makes sense and will help keep you alive in more ways than one. All around a good option. Plus it leads to Strong Back.

Okey, I checked and you said 7xSTR and 10xSTR for Brawny. I'll boost Vigor, because it will also open options for edges... and even more when I get to boost Spirit to d8 too next "rank".

Just out of curiosity -for now, later I will need it-, Strong Back -and later Burden to Bear- double carrying capacity before or after Brawny applies?

Male Something similar to human, but one can never be sure without a DNA test Slacker - 3, Gamer - 2, Nerd - 2, Geek - 2; Eldrich Napper - 7

Math order doesn't matter. 10x2 is the same as 2x10

Well, I had planned to take Ambidexterous this level but I suppose that's shot. And my laser rifle usage is straight f&~~ed too. Bad day all around.

At least my melee ability is basically unhindered. Huzzah for Brass Kneeckles!

Is there an Edge to use 2H weapons in one hand without penalty? I'd probably wait an Advance to take it, but I'd like to know my options.

I'm taking the marksman edge. Should be handy considering, I favor the shotgun. In a round where I don't move, it'll add +2 to my Guns or Explosives (when throwing).

I might even take trademark weapon after this.

Male Something similar to human, but one can never be sure without a DNA test Slacker - 3, Gamer - 2, Nerd - 2, Geek - 2; Eldrich Napper - 7

There's a couple perks for shotguns in the custom rules, too.

So, exactly how badly does having only one arm screw me?

Does it affect reloading? My McGyver/Repair checks?

In that same vein, how difficult would it be to rig up a Power Armor-esque arm frame? Like that woman in Fallout 4 who lost her legs but can still walk around in Power Armor.

Male Something similar to human, but one can never be sure without a DNA test Slacker - 3, Gamer - 2, Nerd - 2, Geek - 2; Eldrich Napper - 7

It means you have to make an Agility check to even reload mid-combat, and repairs and the like would be at -1 or -2 depending on what you're doing. I'd say -2 if you're in a rush, like mid-combat, or -1 if you've got time to analyze how to do something one handed.

It may take me a bit to think about what it will take, game-mechanically speaking what rolls are required, etc, to fix yourself, but in character you know the Brotherhood knows the most about technology out of everyone you've met, the Followers are supposed to be all about healing, and supposedly Kingdom is a beacon of pre-war technology, so any of those three places might know how to fix you up or at least where to find out.

Male Something similar to human, but one can never be sure without a DNA test Slacker - 3, Gamer - 2, Nerd - 2, Geek - 2; Eldrich Napper - 7

For the time being, it may not hurt to trade guns with Marcus, as he has a laser pistol.

Yeah. The upside is, laser weapons have mondo ammo capacity, so reloading in combat means we're basically screwed anyway (24 round combat? We're fighting an army).

Male Something similar to human, but one can never be sure without a DNA test Slacker - 3, Gamer - 2, Nerd - 2, Geek - 2; Eldrich Napper - 7

Hmm...fighting an army, you say?

Mass combat rules....

Hmm...Hmmm... (Ideas have been given.)

Not sure what to do with my Advance.

Thinking of taking Quick Draw or Marksman.

I guess what will cinch it is: Does Quick Draw let me holster a weapon quickly too?

If I can holster my gun, pull out a grenade, throw it, and take my gun out again, it's perfect.

Otherwise a free +2 to-hit is really good.

Wild Card Bennies Left: 1/2 (Deathclaw) Common Pool Bennies Left: 5/5

Um...Yes it lets you holster as a free action, but no you can't draw two weapons a round like that. You could holster gun and draw grenade, but not draw gun again the same round. Next round you could before you shoot, though.

This is to prevent you from keeping a melee out for AoO potentials or a shield when you're not using a two handed weapon and then putting it away, firing, and taking it back out again.

Good enough. Quick Draw it is.

Based on all that Dome might be a better choice. Can't imagine super mutant hostilities getting any easier the closer we get to the vault.

Male Something similar to human, but one can never be sure without a DNA test Slacker - 3, Gamer - 2, Nerd - 2, Geek - 2; Eldrich Napper - 7

Well you can get to kingdom without going past the vault, but as I said it will take longer due to doubling back.

Male Human | 3/3 Bennies | Parry 6, Toughness 9 (2) | Wounds 0 | Pace 5, Charisma 0

Yep, my vote goes to doubling back through Palatka, resting up there for a bit as necessary, and then heading down to Kingdom.

Male Something similar to human, but one can never be sure without a DNA test Slacker - 3, Gamer - 2, Nerd - 2, Geek - 2; Eldrich Napper - 7

So that's two for Kingdom, one Dome, and two votes waiting. I'll give Rufus and Marcus some time to chime in before moving on.
