Craggark goes full purple and begins coughing violently, trying to mask his involuntary spasms behind both hands. An occasional muffled wheeze can be heard from the staggered half-orc.

This remains the only thought in Craggark's mind fit to print for the remainder of the scenario.

Roll for initiative everybody. There's no surprise round (you're aware of growling animals they're aware of you.) So I'm going to run this combat in order. Craggark opens the door (move action) he will have one action left. If any of the dogs have won initiative over Craggark we can assume they've delayed action until his turn is through. The same goes for all the PCs ur assumed to have delayed action. You can jump in after Craggark's turn is over or, delay until it's your respective turn to go through the door. For now let's play it one player at a time and no one move until all initiative checks are in. *edit* it appears the back door was wider than I first thought enough to fit three of you abreast...I'll let you guys arrange your characters the way you like in front of the door. Let's assume Craggark still opened the door for expedience sake. Everyone else goes in initiative after Craggark finishes his turn.
Craggark waits until everybody is ready behind him and then flings open the door. He see's the dilapidated remains of a broken down Brewery and sure enough three fierce looking guard dogs (look like a Doberman breed) with their hackles raised and foam coming from their mouth, starring right at him.

Craggark please indicate if you flung the door wide open: ie all three spaces of the door are open to the alley, or you opened it just wide enough for you. (or even just wide enough for 2?)it's kinda of important to know this before the other characters go. Jamir lunges forward, thrusting his rapier into the dog's side.

"Don't you salivating sentinels know that biting people can be hazardous to your health?"

Rapier, bless, sharpened: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 1 = 171d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

The dog howls in pain at Jamir's blow and viciously tries to snap back at him.
dog 2 bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
But, only comes up with air.
it's Jawhar's turn, Craggark, and then Torvald (if needed)

Happy to finally get in and help his friends, Jawhar trudges into the room and moves into an attack position and swings with his scimitar.

*edit* didn't check the dog's position it looks liked Jawhar provoked an AoO moving where he did before he cuts down the dog, so I'll add the AoOThe viscous anamal bites at Jawhar as he positions himself to strike the animal. AoO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19dmg: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3*edit sigh again* Jawhar is surprised at how quick and strong the beast is; it's bite fails to puncture his armor and leaving yet another scar. After the animal sinks his teeth into Jawhar's armor..Jawhar comes down with his scimitar violently. Then, the frenzied animal finally drops.

So what do you guys do next? Everybody tell me what they're doing..looking around, healing, searching the room ect..need to know what everyone does and where they go.
As you can see I failed to notice Jawhar moved in such a way as to avoid the AoO..so double edit it is! fyi that means Jawhar is not hurt!

"Torvald, feel free to use that wand of mine on your wounds."

He lowers his tone as he glances at Lia.

"I was worried that you were going to get mauled," he murmurs.

The half-orc fishes out another vial of alchemist's fire as he glances around the room. Seeing the door ahead left ajar, he creeps up and listens before peering inside.

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

I recognise that's about 4 different actions - but those are in the order that Craggark would do them, if given the chance.

male Snows of Summer

talking is a free action if it's not a speech. So you draw an alchemist fire and move up to the door ready to make a perception check listening at the door..I'll tell you the results when the others let me know what they're doing. Torvald is injured from dog bite and acid,
The dog never got a AoO against Jawhar but I left it in for flavor purposes and just caused it to miss instead of hit...*sigh* need to read your guy's post more carefully.

Male Aasimar Cleric 1

"Let me get the chest inside and I'll channel to heal everyone's wounds.

We should probably move the bodies of these dogs into a corner. Less chance of someone casually noticing that we've been here."

Jawhar will head back outside to grab the chest, then start moving to the southern room that appears to be filled with debris. Looks like a likely place to find a hiding place.

1 round to get the chest. 1 round (double move) to get near the southern room. 1 round to hide the chest (just hiding it from casual observation). Sound OK? Keeping my eye out for traps as I go.

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
