One is doing data entry for a healthcare financial group, the other is doing admittance counseling/recruiting for a college.

I will most likely move the night along this evening, before I go to bed, I'll post indicating the winding down of the night and people heading to their rooms.

How did you get a +8 modifier to bluff at level 1? The trained check thing? Because if you did that's a rule I completely forgot include on my sheet 'cause I'm new.

I once made a level 1 character with a +18 to diplomacy, all paizo material. Completely useless at everything else, but he talked his way out of nearly everything.

1 rank, 3 class, -1 Charisma... should be a +3 Bluff. Bluff is a Charisma based skill.

Correction: I misunderstood something in conversation with Silian. I'll have to look into that more, but if it's not too complicated, I don't see why not.

For the record, I'm not using skill synergies. There's also no way any of us would have 5 ranks in any skill as we are 1st level.

I was asking for later, since next level we CAN have 5 ranks in a skill.

Out of curiosity, is there an optimum time after 3:00 pm CST that most everyone can be online? I'm starting a new job tomorrow, thus the after 3 pm.

Lianna, in Pathfinder you can only have ranks in a skill equal to your class level. The bonuses from being trained, ability score, traits or feats do not count towards actual rank, just total. For skill synergy you need five Ranks in a skill to get a +2 bonus on a similar skill. As skill synergy is a 3.5 mechanic, it's up to Twi if she wants to implement it.

Twi you know I'm available pretty much whenever. I'm in Eastern Standard Time.

As a side note, Vannevar and myself will be out of town this weekend for Larp so we will not get to post from Friday through Sunday.

Yes. You can put 1 rank into any skill, and when you put a rank into a class skill you get a +3 trained bonus. This is how Pathfinder balanced Class Skills without penalizing you for Untrained skills. So your Appraise, for example, would be 1 rank, +3 class, +3 Intelligence. The number you have is the same, it's just the math getting it there has changed. Some of your other skills may need rechecked though.
