Silian has made the suggestion that I have each of you make a wishlist spoiler on your sheets to include things that you would like to have or experience for your character. This will act as a cheat sheet for me, making it easier for me to help you get the most out of the game. I like this idea and would appreciate it if each of you would do this.
Welcome to Fallen Angel, I hope I'm able to do at least a passable job of being a good DM. I welcome any feedback that you have.

I'm so glad to see almost everyone has checked in! I've had quite a long day out running errands with a friend. Silian and Vannevar have informed me that they might be slow to post over the weekend due to work and being away from home. So, the first couple of days might drag by a little slower than anticipated. I shall post again tonight, at least once more before sleep!

For those of you who wish to place best on the race:
I'm not finding anything that specifies how to handle bets on the race, or specific rules for gambling in general. Does anyone know if such a thing exists?
If not, how would you like to handle the gambling? The easiest thing I can think of is to create odds for each of the animals based on their descriptions and the descriptions of the races, and then simply roll a few times for each animal. Any input?

So, serious question time, how do we want to handle party treasure? I ask because it's something I think we should figure out before we really get started. I'd like to split it up amongst ourselves every time we reach a certain amount, that way we'd have a 'party fund' for things like inn stays so we wouldn't have to worry about 'who pays this time' and it gets split at sizable amounts so we can all get what we want. Or we can just split it evenly every time which would probably go with what our characters would do.

Thank you :)
EDIT: Please recheck your calculations, by my tally you've spent 160 gold and 1 silver. Also, please note that the Grapling Hook costs 1 gp not 5 sp, you probably read the line under it that happens sometimes. Thanks again for getting your equipment down, it makes the game go more smoothly.
I overlooked the artisan tools the first time by mistake so triple calculations show 160.1

Aeyra gives a little hrumph. "I tried alchemy, weirdest reaction though, only effected this portion of my hair. I suppose trading hair might be beneficial for both of us: I want the color and you want to remain a little quieter since you're an outcast." She sips her drink, acting as if what she said is perfectly normal conversation with a complete stranger.
Aeyra, are you alluding to having personal information about Lianna? You may not simply know things about any of the PC's that happened prior to your meeting them. I need you to make a Knowledge (local) DC 25 check in order to obtain any private information about any of the other PC's as well as provide me with a plausible reason as to why you might have that information. They are all strangers, at this point, after all.
Perception checks should be made to note the condition and such of her bow and other equipment as well.

Ruining all my Sherlock Holmes fun >.> I made connections that could be gleamed from the situation. It was a little spoiled since I've read her background, but I said nothing about any specific part of her past. Only that she wears weapons she doesn't often use (which can be easily discovered by examining them) and that she has a sharp mind. Too often somebody born a wizard is expected to be a warrior and a person born a warrior is expected to be a wizard. Still, I've just been toying with the fringes since we're kind of sand-boxing right now, which I can admit I do sometimes. I shall reign it in, apologies.

DM Twilight |

I know, it's a spoil sport situation but you are not yet a Sherlock Holmes ;) Someday you may be, but for now, young grasshopper, you are a level one rogue :D
You're making a lot of deductions that your characters should not yet have the experience to be able to make, and even more, to make without any kind of rolls. No one's weapons at this stage are well used, and you can't simply guess a person's class by looking at them. Yes, that could be discovered by examining them, but you didn't roll a perception check or anything else to indicate you were examining them! Reading her background and then in anyway attempting to bring that into game is metagaming and is no bueno.
Thank you for being willing to reign it in, but by all means, be your character... just back it up with rolls and good storytelling ;)

I will not be posting in game until sometime tonight. I had a job interview this morning (went quite well) and another this afternoon. The car is acting up so I'm stuck trying to figure out a ride to the second interview. Please, please, please do feel free to fill up pages upon pages of dialog as you guys get to know each other. I will read them all tonight and post as soon as I can!

DM Twilight |

Thank you, Silian :)
lmfao, Lianna.
I think I did fairly well at both interviews. I'm really hoping to hear back from the second place though, I would so much rather work there. The environment was much more friendly, it pays better, and I'd be able to keep my facial piercings in!
