Having spent many years as a bodyguard for house Thuranni, Vannevar has had little experience with much else than guarding his kin and performing even grislier duties. True to his honor, he has never betrayed the house or failed them, regardless of his personal views or opinions, carrying out every task with cold indifference. He has seen many of the recent generations of Thuranni rise, and as in the case of his nephew Silian, has even had a hand in their upbringing. Having come of age, Silian is his current charge, and so is bound to be at his side at all hours of the day while the prince is abroad.
Appearance:
Slightly tall for an elf, with lean, corded muscles, Vannevar is a somewhat miserable sight to behold. His thin lips are pursed in a perpetual scowl, and rarely do they part to speak. His steely grey eyes are pale beads peering from dark sockets. The fall of pale blonde hair from his head cast long shadows on his pallid cheeks, giving him the look of a starved corpse. Despite his sallow appearance, his scarred, muscled physique reveals him to be the honed victor of many fights.
His dress is simple, only elegant enough to suit his noble station, consisting of a cotton tunic and leather breeches with sturdy boots. He prefers to wear his armor whenever venturing outside of the confines of a Thuranni settlement, which is often adorned with a dark blue cloak and hood with his familiar, notched greatsword strapped to his back.
