i really hope that smoke cloud does more help than harm to us.
i figured each round i can attack one guy in a mob of 20+
or
i could try to slow down their assault, so less flying bricks and crowd coordination, hopefully throw in some confusion (people throwing bricks anyway and hitting townsfolk) and slowing the influx of yokels.
at the price of some of our visibility

Not to worry, I thought the same until I went back and checked the spell description.
Not trying to be annoying or anything, but N'Kai should be in AD14. Oh, and enemies in AC14-15 should be down for the count, too.... ;D

2 people marked this as a favorite. |

Recovering pretty good. As long as the pain pills are kicked in. ;P
Will post as able. Should be fairly regularly now.
My hardest part will be when I am feeling better and go back to work. I have to remember NOT to do ANYthing for 6 six weeks.
I did not enjoy this so much that I care to repeat the experience. ;P
(Sigh) If I NEVER have another surgery, it will be too soon! ;)

well, since i guess i cannot afford a crystal hilt, i suppose i will get:
aaaaaaand Ready

ah yeah as for starbucks i rarely go there. i bought one of those expensive keurig machines, it is wonderful.
but it IS kinda sad when you can shell out $120 on a coffee machine and you save the money back in a year (would have saved faster but im no fancy coffee drinker). well, im no fancy coffee drinker, but i dont drink that Folgers crap, hahaha!

Tenro |

posting this in all 28 of my games (although some of them are dead, i am pretty sure... and others are quite slow so my absence will not be missed overmuch):
There are two hurricanes heading for Hawaii, where I live. One is supposed to land on Friday after being downgraded to a tropical depression, the other is supposed to land Sunday with experts unsure as to how much it'll be downgraded after colliding with the mountains.
I'm sure everything will be fine, so no need to worry. People are freaking out for some reason, but I remain in a state of relative readiness.
I anticipate a loss of internet, at a minimum (they can barely keep it together under optimal conditions). Likely loss of power as well. A time without electricity could last anywhere from four days to four months (with some time around one to two weeks being more realistic).
I'll be on between now and then, but if i just disappear, check the news, hahaha.

Good Luck Tenro!
Having survived Katrina, I am sure you will be fine. :)
BTW,
I was in such a hazardous hurry this last weekend, (Attending Anime Convention, and going with family to beach in Florida) I forgot to notify all my PbP's that I am out of town this week. ;P
Sorry for unannounced absence, Will be returning this weekend, and should be back to usual insanity by Monday.
Thanks all, see you soon,
~Rags,

The group heads out around 8:30 am.
It's a long trudge down the road, but the only thing they see is trees, birds, and a squirrel or two. It's a welcome calm from the usual grind of blood, fire, and mayhem.
Leik notes that the constant cool drizzle would make a forest fire difficult. Maybe in a week.
The group reaches the end of their journey; a half mile away, there's a cluster of buildings that can only be Castle Caromarc.
On the south side of the river is a gatehouse. A small side road continues up to the gatehouse and terminates there. A bridge reaches on the opposite side of the entry, to a small squat islet in the river upon which stands another building, and from there to another, and another on the opposite side.....far up on the opposite side of the river is a lone tower; the route to reach this tower is unseeable from this angle. The third building looks badly damaged.
The river reaches a group of waterfalls, and the buildings of Caromarc seem to all be clustered at the edge of these falls. They look dangerous, if not totally deadly. The other side looks like hard going; no road, just hard scrambling ground and hills, and fording the river this near to the falls would be perilous. The opposite side of the river offers not much purchase either; steep crags promise a slippery climb.
i.e. you could try to "back enter" this dungeon, but it would be a byoch.....
They reach the castle at sundown.
hmm, upon third reading, i guess i mistook it? we reached the end of our journey, half a mile away from the castle? When i first read it, i thought we reached the end of our journey half a mile away.

While smoke is tempting, it will only last one round. We are better off blinding some of them for 1d4+1 rounds. After that, well need someone to climb ir levitate and open the door from inside or either damage the door enough to bring it down (not sure if that is a viable tactic)

A curious observation regarding the Sleepless Detective.
(Yes, I am STILL trying to update several PC's on my PbP's.) ;P
A certain number of skill points in Alchemy is required. Perfectly understandable. Yet out of all of his (rather amazing) deductive abilities, there seems to be no alchemy-related powers/abilities.
Unless, The alchemy is the requirement (obviously based upon Sherlock's ability to diagnose and ID even the smallest fragment of debris and use it as a clue) and this is HOW he produces his almost magical deductions in the classes powers? That makes sense I suppose. Merely make sure that I remember to RP the investigation/alchemy part. ;P

Before any of you yell "Who died and put you in charge, anyway??" I thought I´d just mention that I am a firm believer in group tactics and with N'Kai´s speech I am just trying to suggest what I feel is the best way to bring those fortified trolls down.
Please feel free to speak your mind and express your own opinion on how to deal with the fight at hand. And even give the elf the middle finger if that is how your character would react to combat orders ;D
