Here are a couple rumors for everyone. Remember, rumors may or may not be true. I gave everyone two, Paul and Monica share one because of their shared backstory.

Yoshi:
The Bestial Host serve Lamashtu, known as the Beast God, a savage and terrible deity that demands blood and violence. The host has a strange fascination with Dragon's Delve

A paladin named Baine Strongbow was slain in Brindenford by assassins after driving off a powerful spellcasting hag that lives in Dragon's Delve. His potent sword, Grace, was stolen and now lies somewhere in the dungeon.

Bobby:
Part of the dungeon is actually a diamond mine still teeming with ore waiting to be discovered.

If one delves very deep into Dragon's Delve, one may discover the hidden tomb of the sorcerer-priest Orr, filled with great treasures but guarded by some of the deadliest traps ever devised.

Gio:
Deep within Dragon's Delve lies a training dojo built by Master Mui Yan in his exile from his own far off homeland. Anyone finding it can still, to this day, learn otherwise forbidden fighting styles.

There is only so far down that a human can travel in Dragon's Delve before they die-only inhuman creatures can reach the bottom

Paul:
In some of the deepest reaches of Dragon's Delve lies the Secret City, a place so ancient that Queen Ryssa's dwarves found it when they originally dug down to find the mystic stone that fell from the sky... and so bizarre that they fled when they discovered it

Monica:
Throughout Dragon's Delve lie bluesteel doors, magical barriers created by the infamous Mages Four. These doors are almost indestructible, but each has a magical password unique to it that allow them to be easily opened.

Paul and Monica:
The infamous Mages Four controlled all of the dungeon at one time, using it for their strange experiments and to house their otherworldly allies and servitors. They created many strange creatures and during your slavery it was said that they created the elemental races.

Paul, I am not sure about hero labs, but if you go to my aliases, a few of my characters (namely the ones with spoilers under the portrait) have examples. It is a bit time intensive and takes a few revisions, but you can copy some of them and use them as a template. All of the formatting I used can be found near the bottom of this page where it says "How to format your text" with a show button on it. I will see what I can do about making a template for you all so you can just enter what you want within the template.

Mike mentioned something about herolabs having a section where you can convert your char info into a statblock format but you will have to ask him about it.

No worries gio, that was a typo on my part. I listed all three of you as good instead of neutral.

My head is killing me so I'll give submitted characters a once over tomorrow.

You should go to Lenscrafters, get your glasses in an hour and feel better :(

It's more expensive but at least you won't be in pain anymore?

Liberty's Edge

I went to lenscrafters and they sat me around for an hour talking about options and then said they would have to order the lenses I needed and it would take 10 business days.

The optometrist I found could get them in 3-5 business days, and gave me loaners which are as close as they could get to my prescription til then.

My big problem is that my eyes are way different and the loaners are the same, so it totally throws me off.

And I think paul got it since they had put up their chars before my post last night, that is why I didn't address it there. Herolab does have a really nice tool for exporting to bbform, it makes it pretty.

Female Lamia Bloodrager

That sucks :( seriously, get some extras from zenni, I like having a bunch of glasses lying around in case I break one.

I'm gonna try to move my sheet onto hero labs tonight after my monster is asleep and I'll update my profile again.

Liberty's Edge

Sounds good to me. I should have a little quiet to look over the numbers for everyone pretty soon.

Once that starts to be done I think we are going to be ready to go.

Any thoughts on meeting up? You all have your own reasons for wanting to go into the dungeon, but I'm curious what you all think would bring this group together. Even just being outcasts might do that. Bobby is the only normal one, and he's set up to be a guide.

Female Lamia Bloodrager

Hmmm... I think me running into Bobby in town makes sense, as I'm actively looking to get in there and may have been directed to him or heard about him as a guide by someone in town. I could have met Yoshi on the way maybe? I'll talk to him about it when he wakes up. I don't know about Paul and Mon' s backstory, but maybe we met up in town and find eachother as we gather information?

I had set myself up as part of a family of elves that has guided people to the ruins for money for a long time, so it would make sense if people are looking for a guide, that I"d be the choice. Since this group is supposed to be my first solo-run as a guide, it wouldn't seem so odd that the group is a little...out of the ordinary until I learn better.

Liberty's Edge

I feel like you need to make it your mission to always get back alive no matter what when there is a TPK and then you can just guide the next party back there.

So, I need to be our Dustin?

Paul and I live outside the town with a tribe that took us in after we both escaped (separately) being slaves. I don't go into town much as I hate normal humans, civilized society, and nobles because of my childhood. But Paul probably met one of you guys one one of his trips to town and came back to me?

History of the golden kobold:
Xukari was once an emissary of sorts for the Cinder Scale clan who called Dragon's Delve their home. Considered untrustworthy by his kin due to his odd scale coloration, he was relegated to the upper portions of the kobold complexes within the delve. The kobolds had lived in relative secrecy attacking only to get what they required to continue their existence undisturbed. The clan lived in relative peace for a time until the new chieftain, Grixtak the Maw, had risen to power.

Within a year the clan had turned into a war band, setting up raids with dozens of other monstrous races. The peaceful kobold grew more disturbed at the actions of his kin and had many times thought of running away and taking his chances in the light filled world above. Xukari's reluctance and strange manner got the immediate attention of Grixtak and wanting to snuff out any insubordination, the chieftain ordered Xukari to accompany a raiding party to attack a caravan that had goods and weapons they could use. That is when he met him; Ezdrik the Lore Seeker.

The caravan was protected by a set of five adventurers working as bodyguards to gain easy passage to Brindenford. The attacking kobolds were dispatched easily and Xukari was left standing amidst a dozen dead kobolds. The only thing that had stayed their hand was the fact that their cleric had caught the unmistakable flow of channeled healing during the fight and the sharp eyed Lore Seeker had noticed the kobolds reluctance to attack.

The Lore Seeker took Xukari under his wing and taught him the history of Dragonkind. The kobold took an interest in the gold dragon's writing and was gifted, by the Lore Seeker, the Draconic Apsu putting him on the path of worship to the Exiled Wyrm. Having traveled with the Lore Seeker and his band of adventurers Xukari returned to his place of birth with a desire to rid the Delve of the dreaded red that resides within.

I'm guessing I'm pretty much done. I just need to make the char stat block and update the profile stats. I'm missing some items since I haven't spent all my money, but that is the easy stuff.

:bubbles with anticipation:

I know me too!

link to the group:
I kind of figured that my link to the group would also be Bobbys character. My character could have been involved in a raid against one of Bobby family members in the past. Returning to the town he would search out the family which just so happens to be Bobby himself to apologize for his previous attacks. To try to make it up to him he will help Bobby whether he wants the help or not.

So, it sounds like more or less that I have met most if not all of you at one point or another. I guess all I really need to know is wither or not all of you have expressed interest at one time or another of taking a dive into the delve.

Yup. While my char has not blatently expressed his reasons for entering, he is quite eager whenever it is mentioned. Though you wouldnt know it from the bored expression that is always on his face.

Orryn probably talked to you about it, and probably mentioned is wife would be joining him. But you haven't met me yet, not until we go on the journey.

I would have approached you specifically about entering the Delve. That's pretty much the only reason I've been looking for you :)

Alright, so probably what I would do is after the last of you lets me know about your wishes to see the Delve, I'd send out a message to everyone, inviting them to a meeting likely at my home in town. I know that some of the people in the group might not like the place because of his family being fairly well off, but it's likely the only place in town that I could gather them all without drawing a lot of attention so that I can talk to them. Likely this would coincide with his parents leaving for some trip or to visit some relatives in another town, telling him to remember his training, and not to take any crazy groups for his first time running things on his own without supervision. Since elves like to take their time with things, they'll likely be gone for a few months thus giving my hero the perfect opportunity to actually go into the delve without having to deal with repercussions from his family.

Just throwing it out there, do you think you guys would accept his invitation to meet at his place in the town?

Letter of Invitation:
Friend Adrasteia/Orryn/Xukari (Whichever person is receiving it), Greetings. I hope this letter was able to find you without too much issue. I would like to invite you to my family home on the evening of (Date that his parents will have left) to discuss that trip you asked to take. I have also sent a letter to another few like-minded souls who also wish to make the same trip, and would like for all of us to meet face to face and get to know one another a bit before we try to leave for our destination. Frictions can arise among those who've never met when going to a stressful place such as you all wish to go to, and I find it is best to break the tension that can arise in a more comfortable setting first. I assure you all that your safety is my top concern, as is my family's motto for our business. Food and drink will be provided for our small group by yours truely, and if all goes well we should be able to leave the next morning for our destination. If any are unable to attend, simply reply to this letter stating such and other accomadations will be made so that all can be at ease. May our meeting be the begining of a truely magnificent work of art that this venture may become, with Shelyn's blessing. In good faith and regards, Variel Lothloren.

"You and your hoity-toity friends.... I bet he will have a draw bridge, and a carriage pick us up, and those tiny forks no one knows how to use"

Female Lamia Bloodrager

Adrasteia crumples the note and closes her eyes. After taking a deep breath she looks beyond the dark forest toward the keep. "It's starting" she says softly to herself, she flops onto her side and thinks about the best way to approach Variel's home.

"I'll just go at dawn, the townspeople seem uncomfortable when I'm around"

Liberty's Edge

Alright, sorry guys, long weekend away and just getting new glasses now. I'm starting to build my way through characters now and make some notes. I'll have those up tonight, and I'm going to have a more official 'first post' that I can put over on the campaign board too. I figure that will let us get a little RP in while things get finalized. I don't see much in the way of changes needing to be done, just cleanup, so that won't take too long and we'll be off the the delve.

Female Lamia Bloodrager

Take your time, no rush ^_^

Liberty's Edge

Alright, I have a gameplay thread up.

I took bobby's initial post and basically ran with that. Going over characters has taken longer than expected and I've had less time than expected so I'm not quite done yet, but they are mostly done. I haven't seen any notes I need to give you guys that would affect any sort of RP stuff, so lets get started over on the other thread!
