Paul and I live outside the town with a tribe that took us in after we both escaped (separately) being slaves. I don't go into town much as I hate normal humans, civilized society, and nobles because of my childhood. But Paul probably met one of you guys one one of his trips to town and came back to me?
I think paul and i were going to be on the good to neutral good side. As for leader we can just wait and see who it becomes organically. Idk.

I was thinking about changing to a swashbuckler or a Monk so paul could be the synthesist... I haven't decided which yet though
I was working on a witch character. You know beguiling gift, putrify (or poison) apple, disguise self hex as old lady... you know typical awesome witch stuff =P
