Half-Goblin

After dealing with the goblin's the party moves on through the underground lair. The hallway makes a couple of 90 degree turns and starts to head north. The hallway opens into a large room. This dank chamber has a channel of sludge moving through it. There is a stone walkway that crosses the channel in the middle of the room. However, crude barbed caltrops litter the bridge while the chamber is dank and moldy.

As the party enters the room, two goblins can be seen on the other side of the room. One appears to be similar to the other goblins you have seen, the other is dressed in jester's motley and starts to sing when he sees you!

The bridge has no rail, the channel is about a 10' drop into the sludge.

Initiative:

The goblin moves to the bridge and arms himself with a horseslicer (a large dogslicer with 'reach').

Sorin grins at the goblins, then runs and takes a flying leap across the gap!
Sorin has a move of 40, so he is going to cross diagonally to the right side of the bridge, 15, then jump across the gap to land to the right of the gobbo with the dog-slicer. Acrobatics checks are made as part of the move action, so he should get an attack as well.
Acrobatics+leap: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10

Sailing through the air, Sorin realizes that he might have miss-judged the distance, and for a second, there is a bit of doubt in his mind, then he just catches the edge of the other side with the front of his right boot, and barely lands safely on the other side. Planting his feet, Sorin swings at the armed goblin with his greatsword.

Greatsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 = 9

Pai moves behind the box at the left for cover, then shoots her crossbow at the other goblin, the jester, while shouting:

Resistance is futile! Yield or the big one will tear you in pieces! Better be fast, i can´t stop him when he´s angry!

Sorin glides through the air and just barely reaches the other side. Below him he sees a horrible sludge and is thankful that he didn't fall into such a mess. Such wonderment must of caused him to miss his target. The goblin with the horse chopper starts to swing at him, but just then Slypher's words echo throughout the chamber.

Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3

Instead of attacking, he just stares at Sorin doing nothing.

The goblin jester starts to dance and sing (mainly making crude remarks about the PC heroes!). Mainly he comments on the lack of Sorin's manhood!!!
You are all -1 to Attack and Damage, -1 vs Fear and Charm effects
He then dances to the back of the room, behind a barrel of sludge.

Those little bugs are everywhere, Dorgrin grumbles while entering the room and shooting a bolt at the nearest goblin.

Dorgrin steps 4 squares to the NE and shoots at the goblin in melee with Sorin.

Yep. I just wanted to verify your orders before moving on.

Pai is able to find the Jester hiding away from the party, her crossbow nicking the Jester in the leg. Jostrum's shot just barely misses both the goblin and Sorin.

The goblin continues to look at Sorin, a befuddled look in his eye.

Seeing that the goblin has stopped fighting, Sorin loses interest in him. He turns and moves across the space, weaving through the barrels and closes the distance to the jester.

2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 3) + 3 = 9

Slypher is able to dance around the caltrops and move up next to the dazed goblin. Meanwhile Sorin's attack on the Jester doesn't connect. In response the Jester tries to cast a spell at Sorin!

Cast Defensively: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 DC 17 which fails!

The jester isn't able to cast defensively, and Sorin gets a free attack of opportunity on the Jester.

Sorin grins as the Jester desperately tries to get his spell off, unfortunately, Sorin was waiting for the opening, and as soon as the Jester started to cast, the blade came whistling in at his head.

If you want to cast a spell without provoking any attacks of opportunity, you must make a concentration check (DC 15 + double the level of the spell you're casting) to succeed. You lose the spell if you fail.

Oscric's bolt pierces the belly of the goblin and shrinks to the ground in a lump. Meanwhile, Sorin takes advantage of the jester's lapse in judgement (and unfair writing from the authors of the scenario, from my prospective of course!) and nearly decapitates him.

Dorgin and Jostrum, above is the updated map from what orders I have on your characters. If those are wrong positions LMK. If you want to adjust your turn LMK as well. As it stands on the map, Dorgin's shot will give cover and Jostrum's shot won't be able to draw line of sight. But a move can easily change that. Note, that the remaining goblin is the Jester. The goblin mook is unconscious/dying.

Ok, I believed the remaining goblin was the mook :) In this case, Dorgrin will not shoot and will make a double move instead (at half speed on the walkway to avoid stepping on caltrops). He will move in the square north of Slypher's square.

Slypher staff cracks the Jester over the head, bone and skull cracking. The Jester falls to the ground and begins to die.

We are out of combat at this time. There is a door that exits the room north, when you are ready to move out.

Pai retakes her crossbow bolt and casts mending on it. Then relaods the crossbow. She also searches the goblins of any usefull hints and stuff.

My tall friends, you know, if we actually took one alive, we could have asked him what´s coming else back there. I think i could get some usefull information out of one, if necessary by magic. That might save us from some traps or other nasty surprises they got.

You can use any items you find in-adventure at no cost during that adventure--it has no effect on the chronicle sheet.

I didn´t say torturing Sorin, i doubt they can resist my charms. You may kill them afterwards if you insist. But yes let´s go on. Feel free to take the lead.

You continue through the Goblin Guild's lair. The next series of rooms jut off from the hallway. They are kennels for the goblin's dogs. Refuse and spoiled meat litter the floor. Most of the cages are empty, but a one dog remains. He appears at first glance to be healthy.
Eekie swoons over the poor caged animal and makes you promise to release the hound once you are done with the rest of the guild.

The hall from the kennel leads into a large audience chamber. Two rows of pillars support the arched roof of this long hall. At one end stands a makeshift throne constructed from the broken remains of a smashed statue and other cracked blocks of masonry.
Standing in front of the throne is a large bugbear and two goblin body guards!
The Bugbear shouts, filling the hall with his thunderous voice, ENOUGH! That will be enough now. I am nothing but a reasonable guild leader. Let the bloodshed end.
Eekie pulls at the coat-tail of the PC closest to her, That... that is the big guy, Inoklar, she whispers with a bulging eyes and a gulp.

Osric will scrutinize the rest of the room, wondering where the trap is, for he feels it likely these two expect to rush them and be ambushed, or hit a pit or something sneaky.

Dorgrin waits to see what the diplomat will say, ready to shoot at the goblins at the slightest sign of danger. He has never seen a bugbear before and looks attentively at it.

Bring forth your emissary you lot. Let's forge a deal, I've got works to be done 'round here. says the bugbear leader, Inoklar.

Oscric's sense of foreboding is on the money. There is a trap here, though he isn't sure exactly what. Surely the bugbear won't honor any promises made to an invading party. Also, Oscric notices that some of the tiles in front of the bugbear and his goblin minions are altered. Perhaps they are trapped as well!
