Dunia's words are said lightly, but her eyes are cold.
You a buncha murderers'n worse. Why you t'inkin' we care 'bout what you want beyond me.

It seems no one passed the perception check
She takes off her mask and so does the tripped cultist and they take off her mask. To the heroes surprise, this is the person who owns the shop, his wife and yes the downed one is the beautiful daughter. They explain that someone grabbed her, pulled her in, put a mask on her and she came back out, as she knew exactly where to stand to have that planned out. Please have mercy, our daughter is about to be sacrificed, but if one of you can take her place or find an innocent victim. As members of the cult we are desperate. Please we had to do it or we would have had to sacrifice our daughter to Shel to our wonderful God Ghlaunder.
You all look in her position where she was grabbed, but that cultist is gone and has disappeared.
Sajna
|
"I can't say either of those options appeal to me. I'm thinking your god isn't all that wonderful, and I think you are maybe starting to see that too. How about this: nobody gets sacrificed at all?"
Yoshi Masaso
|
"I am wanting to hear more about your Ghlaunder and why he is wanting you to sacrifice your daughter." says Yoshi.
"Perhaps you could be taking us to where she is to be sacrificed? I am thinking six sacrifices are better than one."
E'li
|
The fact that many of us have killed other beings would mean that we ourselves are not innocent and thus cannot take the place of your daughter says the warpriest matter of factly.
| DoubleGold |
Oh, thank you. Yoshi, said he is going to take all six of you to be sacrificed to replace her. All hail Ghlaunder. She points up ahead to the corn maze and they all leave their cultist clothes on the floor and go back to the shop. Though if you want you can spend a few minutes to check out the house before going into the corn maze.
Yoshi Masaso

Yoshi shakes his head. "These Cultists are Crazy".
Gesturing to the house he suggests. "Clues are being found in there I am thinking"
Dunia Mbani

Anyone know what Ghlaunder de god of? Stupid? Seem he migh' be de god o' stupid. Le's go Yoshi.
Uthraed of Galt

"Hu-Human sacrifices," Uthraed stammers. What have I gotten my self into"
"I think that inside might be safer. I-I mean provide clues. Lead the way," He gestures to Yoshi and follows with his bow half drawn.

Galt and Eli kill two more stirge as the door opens. The cultist gets near Darvan before Yoshi, so he gets hit first, then the stirge comes within Yohshi's reach and die. As soon as that door opened heroes took aim, held their weapons and destroyed stirges and the cultist. None of the dead cultist are people you recognize, except for one who was at the festival but not the feast and you only recognize him because you've seen his face but were not introduced, just a familiar face. You now you have time to explore the house.
Sajna

You are out of combat, but there might be other things in the house, in fact there are. You are all in the main room, so any searching will be done room by room. You have an open doorway to the left of the main room and a door north were the cultist and stirges came from. And that thing to the left of Dunia is a ladder, I moved her so you can all see it. And of course you all see the fireplace unlit ahead. There is nothing of interest in this room you are in.
Yoshi Masaso
|
Yoshi heads through the first doorway to the left.
He'll work clockwise around the house, taking ten on perception for 17s
Dunia Mbani
|
Dunia will go ahead and work counterclockwise (spear at the ready). These cultists haven't been too threatening in a straight up fight so far after all, so she'd rather save the time.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Sajna
|
Having found nothing of interest on the cultists, Sajna will reload her musket then head up the ladder to check where it leads. She will climb carefully when she reached the top and try to get a look at where it leads before heading in in case someone is waiting.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Sajna seems very unfocused today, so many bad perception checks.

Going around the house, you find nothing but gold. You do see a scarecrow that resembles Desna, but those who passed your religion check knows that it is not sacred to her religion. The scarecrow animates at night and you all burn it in the fire place.
You also spot 8 doses of whinnis poisons, which the cultists poison there weapons with (fort 12 or be sickened for 1 hour), 5 vials of alchemists fire, 2 potions of shield of faith, 2 potions of neutralize poison, and a potion of cure moderate wounds. normally you need spellcraft checks and a nature check for the poison, but we are so close to the end, lets end this
You have stairs to go up and a ladder to go up, they are in two different rooms and lead to different places, which one first
Dunia Mbani
|
How dey fittin' all dis creepy in one house? Dey sleep here wit' de movin' scarecrow?!
Dunia will also head up the ladder.

The ladder might be an unexpected place to ascend from says the warpriest.

You all go up the ladder and at the end of the hallway is a slime mold. init: -1 + 1d20 ⇒ -1 + (9) = 8 Yeah slow enough those in front can hit it and then run as it has a slow speed you all take it out from range
Up here you find mosquito masked cultists and stirges circling a central figure covered in black tumors caressing a bound prisoner. These are drawings by the way, no actual cultist here. These drawings are worth money. You return down back the ladder with a dead slime mold and gold.
Okay so who is going upstairs first, the last place in this house?
