Sajna tries to calm her mind as she notices she is becoming frustrated with the situation.

Dunia nods at Sajna's obvious frustration, but says, De festival soun's like de bes' lead. How 'bout da's where we start?

Sajna looks sheepish.
"I'm sorry.. yes, thank you Dunia." She smiles at her companion. "I agree, let's go to the festival."

Breaking into people's homes would not be the wisest course of action. If anything else would happen to it doing that would overshadow anything else we tried to do. E'li remarks.

The man speaks Well the festival isn't setup yet, the only people there now are the workers setting up, and it's best you let them finish on time. He points to the other hero But he did ask about the church. I don't know why it got ruined, it got abandoned for many years, why not try there first since one of your members is curious about it?

Who was the church dedicated to? he asks.

I really don't know, it's been abandoned for as long as I lived here and part of it is caved in, so I don't go near it, it's amazing even part of it is still standing, they should just tear it down, but obviously the god(s) worshipped there must be too important to do so. None of the locals however want to talk about the church, they all have their own opinions. I think very few people do know, but I guess they don't want to have religious debates. If someone wanted to hide, it would be that last place I'd look.

Perhaps going to see this holy site might lend a clue as to what is taking place?

Yoshi looks to the man with interest. "You are not being a local from these parts then?" he asks. "How long are you being living here?"

About two decades now, and yes the church was ruined when I got here, and still no one touched it

The ceiling of this abandoned church has mostly caved in, and while the church's two-story steeple still stands, the bell that once hung within appears to be missing.

Alright, go ahead and investigate the church, there is no map for the church, just tell me where you are. Oh, and I need religion checks.

Darvan instructs Sahba to stay outside while he investigates the church, attempting to find anything of interest.

Yoshi spends a bit of time walking around the old church, looking at it and trying to work out how it came to be ruined.

If he doesn't find anything obvious, he will then climb up a wall to get a view from above.

As they search the church and identify the religious figures, it is definitely in ruins and would take months to rebuild. The church indeed has not been used in decades. They find a statue of Desna, and the state of the church is blamed on Desna. Some of the locals thinks it's blasphemy from what you all know about the religion of this place, at least Eli and Dunia know that. They ided Desna the statue.

Are there any other religious structures in the town? Another temple or church?

not that you know of. You can even search the whole town, there is no other church or temple, or rather anything building that appears to have anything religious in it. But any building in theory could. You wouldn't know until you entered them.

Yoshi climbs down, and gives a rough layout of the town to the rest of the group.

Town map is up at top of the page. Ignore the fact that is says skull and shackles, I'm just reusing an old document and fixing it up

Dunia will head over to the Trading Post & Smithy, It's at the center of town, they might know something.

Sajna will follow Dunia to the Trading Post and then maybe check out what The Stones are.

Having climbed down, Yoshi joins the others heading for the trading post.

You had me worried, for a minute I thought you were blabbing to citizens.

Okay so the heroes go to the Trading Post and Smithy. While this building bears a sign that proclaims it to be the town tradiong post, the lack of business and activity certainly sets expectations of a poorly stocked store at best.

As you all enter, you see a man come out from the back room and get behind the counter. Welcome to Ravenmoor's trading post, see anything you like?

"We are actually looking for tax man." explains Yoshi who describes him as best able.

"Is he still being in town?"

I don't know and I don't like him either. You too have bone to pick him? Yeah, good luck finding him. He passed through alright, but I have no idea where he is now.

He bein' any worse den de las' taxman?

He looks at Dunia with a you serious look? All taxman are horrible, he's probably the worst. But I don't like paying taxes either, so that's that.

"Perhaps if Ravenmore was in better standing with the taxman, some of the funds may be allocated to repairing your church? How long has it sat there in ruin?"

Too long he says, you're talking years!
Then his wife and daughter come downstairs. His daughter is very gorgeous, his wife is middle aged. I just finished all the sweeping upstairs honey says the wife. Meet our new guests. Obviously they ain't from around, but they're welcome here.
The daughter greets the men with a flirtatious hello, but does say hello to the women as well, she is anywhere from a teen to a young adult.

Yoshi is more than happy to give the lovely young lady a smile back.""We are staying here for day or two." he explains.

"Can we be arranging rooms?"

Dunia grunts at the young woman and rolls her eyes at Yoshi. Was dere anyone took special dislike to Elias? He's missin', an' we jes' hopin' he's alright.

Uthraed listens intently as the conversation with the shopkeeper continues and looks around at his wares trying to see if there is anything that may be of use to him.

"I too find tax collectors to be detestable," he says feigning sincerity when in fact his fathers wealth was amassed greatly through the use of taxmen but bringing that up now would only do to make matters worse. "But what about this man made him even more horrible, as you say, than the rest?"

He turns to the rest of you. Sorry I can't help you, so are any of you going to purchase anything or not?

Unthraed finds very mundane stuff, rope, some armor, weapons, healing potions, but nothing above 250 GP.

Yoshi shakes his head. "Is there being a good inn in this Ravenmore?"

The people of this village are not a very friendly bunch, I wonder if all Varisians are like this... Perhaps a consequence of growing up so close to Infernal Cheliax.
Sajna looks around the shop, then adjusts the straps of her backpack, uncomfortably. I definitely don't need any more to carry.

How many CW potions does he have? Just CLW?

Ask the Mayor perhaps 4 potions
