That's a lot of bad rolls

After the party is safely between them and the tigers the gnolls advance and half of them toss a number of small bags which quickly unfurl causing sticky tar to stick mostly to the floor and walls. Underdog however becomes entangled. Tanglefoot bags A single gnoll disappears around the curve of the building.

Not that McGruff hit but he’s still entangled since Mara didn’t do enough damage to remove the tanglefoot bag. Needs 9 more damage. On second thought he just bites off the rest of the gunk and moves where he is now.

With the taste of gnoll fresh in their mouths and the aberrant halfling a safe distance away the often starved tigers stalk out of their cages in search of another easy meal. They find it in a nearby half-ork shaman. Good news everybody! They had to squeeze to get out of their cells so no pounce.

Red Claw vs Mara: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 28

Theophilus takes a tentative glance back behind him, as he hears the hungry-sounding roars from the oops, may have forgotten about those lions!
He sighs in relief as Mara does her Mara thing.

He then watches in both delight and sympathy as CiCi does her CiCi thing.

Theo decides it would be prudent to do his Theo thing. He taps Dervak on the shoulder.
We may have forgotten about those darn lions.

Turn inbound soon...just have to think about which spell to waste...lol.

Actually, are any Lions still up? And looks like only 3 gnolls on the board?

Theo curses one of the tigers while Allegra ruins the pelt of the very same one. Both of the tigers turn tail and run at the sight of a small halfling as she approaches. This triggers AoO from Dervak and Allegra.

The remaining gnoll flees seeing his colleges cut down but hesitates as he passes through by the slave pens. Another AoO for Allegra and Underdoge. Mara can't quite see what would cause it to hesitate but then she notices the slaves beginning to panic as they try to futilely break out of their cages. "The lizards! Get us out of here!" they cry in terror. The slave farthest from the party, her skin turns a speckled gray color and she goes completely stiff.

Arcana DC 20:
She's been turned to stone. A number of magical creatures can accomplish this. Medusa, basilisks, gorgons among them. One could be describe as lizards, basilisks. Merely the close sight of them can cause a person to turn to stone.

As far as I can tell, centering on the gnoll would affect half the party, and completely miss the basilisks. Or am I missing something?

Allegra and Dervak mortally wound one tiger but the other limps away despite Dervak’s parting slice. Pocky follows up, knocking it to the ground.

Theo can mind fog all the basilisks without hitting any allies or slaves. But you will have to pass through the fog to ascend to the next floor.
