Hearing the Ird back lip Naia, Roland steps to the edge of the fog so he can see Ird and speaks in a dry raspy voice.
I am stopping at the edge of the Fog to maintain some concealment, but close enough that I can make out Ird for spell targeting purposes. Added effect hopefully for the intimidate check. Then casting Sotto Voce, a verbal only spell, there is a description and source at the bottom of my profile.
Cast Sotto Voce, Will DC 13.
"Ird, you Sniveling Goblin. You dare threaten her? We are the ones ridding the Citadel of Drow, while you cower here in the fog. Threaten her again and we will see who is eating stew."
Itimidate: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Chief Ird |

That's a really cool cantrip! Neat!
Will: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Roland's voice booms out through the fog, laced with a hint of magic. Ird seems unaffected by the spell, although he does certainly seem scared nonetheless! (intimidate check = success!)
"SIR ROLAND DE RIDONPORT! Acck! Ird will be good! Hurry back and find orbs for Ird, please! [small]and please no hurt me please no hurt me[/small]"

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth shakes his head and leads the way back to the mayor, and hopefully to the sales of everything that Roland is holding onto.
As soon as they pass he smiles at Roland's trick
Well done sir. Well done he says when he finally rejoins

Ealasaid of the Golden hair |

Good to hear that goblin, for a moment I thought you woudl share the same fate as the drows - Say Ealasaid with cold voice while she lift the uncouncious drow( I take 10 in intimidate for a 17 to aid another Roland)
well done people

Darque Naia |

Nice work Roland!
Struggle as shr might to hidr it, Naia is quite impressed with Roland's theatrics.
"Thank you Roland. My kind regard is yours."
He's not so bad, for a god-bothered.
Naia stalks after the rest of the party, thoughts of a warm bath, steaming victuals and a soft (or at least bedbug free) pallet uppermost in her mind...

DajellyMan |

You all easily make the few hour journey back to Oakhurst, arriving just in time for dinner! The shops look to be getting ready to close, but you could very possibly still manage to sell off your unwanted loot. The meeting with Lord Ramor may have to wait until morning, lest you wish to disturb the Lord.
Let me know what y'all wish to do / see while in town.

Darque Naia |

Once the drow is turned over, reward given, any loot sold off and shares divided, Naia will be interested in buying some new kewl wepinz!!! And then some kewl armor!!! All depending on funds of course... Then she will attempt to find a tattooist (if any) in town. You know, like any self respecting young shadowhun... Slayer does when on furlough...
She will also pointedly remark to Ealasaid that if she isn't going to use the masterwork scimitar then perhaps Naia could. ;)

Rameth the Delver |

toland was keeping track also I have no problem waking the mayor but Roland is our talky guy so I follow his lead

![]() |

Two questions about loot. 1) does anyone want anything else on the list of loot before I sell it? 2)Rameth, did you really give those goblins some of the loot?
Roland will busy himself with the loot before the shops close for the night, so others can have coin for food, drink and a place to sleep for the night.
"I would recommend seeing the Mayor in the morning, as last time we sort of barged are way in. He may be more agreeable in the morning and with our proof."

Rameth the Delver |

i was going to, but it looks like no one followed up on it, so i think i did not.
Nothing else for me from the list
Alright, but we keep a watch on this thing all night, we rotate.
Rameth will eat and take the first watch on the drow

Loot Distribution: 1926gp starting value
321gp value each
If you want it counted in gems and coins, you will see Roland place the following bags on the table.
4 bags of:
3 Platinum, 161 Gold, 100 Silver, 1 Lapis Luzel (120gp) {5.28 lbs}
2 bags of:
150 Platinum, 161 Gold, 100 silver {5.52 lbs}
Roalnd may or may not have more to add to the distribution depending on the outcome of a trade Roland is trying to do.
@DaJellyMan, I could not get the roll to show in the PM
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 1 = 22
Items that Roland did not sell and need to be determined who is carrying them.
3 ea +1 Arrow
1 Potion of Invisibility
2 Potions of Cure Light Wounds
1 Scroll of Dispel Magic (Caster level unknown)

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth purchases a MW dagger

Rameth the Delver |

Let's keep the potions

![]() |

After putting the various bags of coins and gems out of everyone, Roland reaches into a large burlap bag. He pulls out heavy flail of exceptional quality.
I was able to trade the MW Rapier or a MW Heavy Flail. So no additional loot to be divided.

![]() |

We will see what we get from the Mayor, as no set amount was established yet.
"but... I must say, this news terrifies me. Not a week ago, I had the most forbidding dream. The constellation of the spider queen blinked out of the sky and the oceans welled up and engulfed all varisia. In light of this, I feel it would be in our best interest to have someone investigate the matter, if only I would let me rest easy. If you can come back with more proof of this supposed drow problem, I will compensate each of you generously."
"well that sure is the spirit. I do not know about any dark elves or any other worrisome activity, so I do not know what help I can give beyond promise of more than adequate compensation should you actually end up finding anything. As I said, I believe this all to most likely be a simple over reaction, but my dreams guide me to believe otherwise. Refardless, it would seem priperty had been stolen, and we would certaibly compensate you for the return of the mithral... I hope no trouble befalls you, and any caution is for naught. Is there anything else I can do for you, or shall you be on your way?"

DajellyMan |

Hey, sorry about the delay, I was running an IRL game and they ended up powering out a loooong session. Excellent job on the loot Roland, thank you so much!
You are easily able to acquire a meeting with Lord Ramor, though his herald seems completely unenthused about the dark elf, and more so completely surprised.

Lord Ramor |

The Lord gasps in surprise as you enter his chamber:
"Oh, dear gods above, its true! A live drow standing before my eyes... how did you manage to capture him? What are the drow doing here? Oh dear me..."
He looks grievously puzzled and sits silently more a moments:
"I don't suppose you found the missing shipments? You weren't gone too long, did you get a chance to explore the citadel much? *sigh* I suppose I owe you lot the compensation I promised.
He motions to his herald who disappears into a back room, and comes back a short while with a bag containing 1800 gold pieces.
"Thank you for bringing this to our attention, the town shall immediately be put on watch. I don't suppose I could entice you all to venture back, and see what all you can find out about this drow problem? I can offer you each a bag containing the same amount if you can find us a solution."

Darque Naia |

Naia tries not to let her eyes goggle at the mention of the sum of gold..
Ok, so 621 gp each to spend?
I do not require the flail Eala, too heavy…I have a light mace I think ;)

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth tells the story of what has happened so far, including the changer evil body morphing thing the grow mentioned
We are heading back, but thought you should know immediately what was happening.
Rameth will purchase a second MW dagger on the way out BTW

![]() |

Roland begins, "Mayor Ramor, I am glad that you finally believe us and are having the town react accordingly. We unfortunately have not found the missing shipments, as we felt it was more important to reveal the threat to you and the town."
Roland glances at the others, and seeing gold lust in some of their eyes at the sight of the money bag, continues, "I think your offer is acceptable of a like sized bag of gold for each, for us to find and execute a solution for this problem."
"We will turn this Drow over to you so you can deliver what justice your town deems appropriate. If nothing else you should secure him someplace that he can not get out of. I would have him removed from our presence before I continue, Mayor Ramor."
Roland waits for the Mayor to take control of the Drow and removed from the room/building before continuing.

Ealasaid of the Golden hair |

We should use the money from the mayor to buy a wand of cure light wounds. Everyone can put 150 gp or soemthing
[b]Oohh Yes!, life is sweet.[/ooc] - said Ealasaid when the money was delivered.

Namon Nazzar |

I would advise you to find a being who can speak elven as since the drow and elves share a common heritage they may share a common tongue. Once you can speak to him then proceed to use either magic or torture to get the answers out of him.

Lord Ramor |

With a grimace at the Drow, Ramor motions for four guards to come in an lead the drow to the dungeons. They give it a swift bash over the head to make sure it is unconscious, and then apply steel chain to his legs and hands before leading him away.
"We shall... take excellent care of him. The prisons of Oakhurst are equal to none. He will live out the rest of his pitiful life being tortured by generations of my kin. This crime will serve as a beacon warning all other would-be-invaders that we are not to be trifled with."

![]() |

"One moment Ealasaid, I have one more question for Lord Mayor Ramor, now that the Drow is gone."
"We have heard rumor about an Orb of great power, that may be within the Citadel. Was there any record of such an item when champions last went into the Citadel. One of your postion may have information that the non-politically inclined citizens would not."

Lord Ramor |

"Nothing comes to my mind, no. Almost all the records of the citadel are most likely in the citadel itself, and the last heroes ventured down there, they made no mention of an orb of power. Now, I would certainly not be surprised if such a thing was down there. The place is ancient and was home to many great powers, both good and evil, over the centuries. If you would like, you may have access to our town library. Then you may peruse the history books yourselves. The librarian, a crotchety old man named Aaron, is very wise, despite his lack of proper attitude."

Darque Naia |

We should use the money from the mayor to buy a wand of cure light wounds. Everyone can put 150 gp or soemthing
Ah, yes. A good idea. Will hold off shopping unil we vote on this. I vote yes.

![]() |

Roland see the wisdom in Ealasaid's proposal and agrees with the idea of purchasing a wand of Curing.
Roland looks to the others after hearing Lord Ramor speak of the library, "Well what say you all, do we have a couple of hours that we can spare to do some research? Maybe some of us can check the library while others are making purchases?"

Darque Naia |

Naia looks blankly at Roland upon mention of the library, but appears to agree with him anyway.
"I'm sure a matter of hours won't change much. The drow in the citadel are already waiting for us…"

You cannot make an untrained Knowledge check with a DC higher than 10. If you have access to an extensive library that covers a specific skill, this limit is removed. The time to make checks using a library, however, increases to 1d4 hours. Roland tries to go through the tomes and journals in the library, attempting to assist the more learned members of their group.
He realizes that he made the correct decision early in life, that bookworming was not the way for him.

Darque Naia |

Naia tries a few methods to find a somewhat clean and somewhat suitably disreputable tattooist.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Knowledge (Local): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Damn stupid town. Any shingles saying "Tattooist"?

DajellyMan |

@Ealasaid: Those rules most certainly apply. You are in a very large library.
Darque, you are able to find what most folks say is the most reputable tattoo parlor in the whole town. It is an unnamed establishment run by a half-orc named Thunk. The guy is apparently a mute, and has never been heard to make a noise, but is the most beautiful tattoo artist for hundreds of miles.
Ealasaid, Roland, and Namon all spend 1d4 ⇒ 1 hours perusing the vast library of Oakhurst. Ealasaid and Roland find several interesting tomes, a few even on the citadel, but nothing pertaining to any orb hidden there.
Namon, however, manages to strike gold, so to speak. He finds an ancient journal that describes the rituals of an ancient dragon cult from before the cataclysm. It takes mention of their movement across the plains to what is referred to as The Fortress of Ak'mord, who was apparently a powerful red dragon. The cult was supposedly the protectors of an orb known as the Orb of Rage. The descriptions in the text are vague, but it seems whosoever held the orb was filled with immense physical power, and a mad, insatiable bloodlust.

Darque Naia |

The guy is apparently a mute, and has never been heard to make a noise, but is the most beautiful tattoo artist for hundreds of miles.
Darque swoons at the sight of Thunk… Oh hang on, you mean he does the most beautiful tattoos.
Ok, Darque gives him 3 gold and tells him to design her "a stylized putrefying zombie with a gnomish ripsaw glaive fighting a plague-ridden bulette emerging from a mound of bone-encrusted earth", and make it snappy. She'll start getting it when she returns. Not if, when!
Impatient for instant bod-mod gratification she pays 1 gold some foreign words mistranslated as "Heavenly Retribution (tr. "Loose Honour") as a tramp-stamp on her lower back. Then, stinging but happy, Naia goes shopping for new equipment.

DajellyMan |

All tramp stamps in my campaigns must include a butterfly and/or misinterpreted chinese in the design. Otherwise, the universe implodes and cackling half-demon wenches that look like an amalgamation of all my exes spring forth from the ensuing black hole to conquer the apocalyptic wasteland that once was the earth.

Darque Naia |

Ok, to specify further - it's Tian characters that mistranslates, as I already said (sheesh, I got half of it right!!!), with the script appearing in the stylized shape of a Tianesque interpretation of a Desnan butterfly. Because that is how Thunk rolls…
