Karl, What I do is give everyone at least 24 hours to post. I usually post updates in the evening, or in the morning, and wait until the same time a day later. If someone has not posted I will DMPC their actions as appropriately as possible. If I miss a day, then you get some extra time. :)
I'm glad you like the map. I plan to make all the arenas at least this detailed. The platform arenas are a pain to draw up, though, to be honest.
Yes we're back to the top of initiative (revised), as per the IC post.
Horses take up 10x10 spaces. I let them squeeze for a charge, though. Seems iconic.

Braegan Longclaw |

Braegan, please spoil them in the future.
Sorry, I didn't realize I was posting out of order. I'll be more careful in the future.
And just for clarity, we nay need to spoiler our actions if we're going before our turn, right? Or do you want them always spoilered?

Crugonk "the Beaster" |

From the description I get that he was charging, how does he gets multiple attacks? or the charge was just descriptive?
Another thing, this is my fault because I didn't wrote it. Since Crugonk was waiting to charge he is equipped with lance and shield, so its AC would be 21 (19 flatfooted). My fault, I'll take this damage. Could it be counted it in next rounds?

The Announcer |

Yeah, the manticore is still invisible. Sorry if didn't make that clear.
Braegan: I think I looked at the scenario wrong, thinking you had a 30ft move speed. Just ignore that. Late night and a lot to keep track of. Sorry about that. Until we get down to team vs team matches as the norm, or 1 team vs creatures, I'll likely overlook stuff like that here and there.
It was ambitious to run this many players and NPCs/monsters at once, but I wanted to see if I could do it in a PbP.
What do you all think so far?

I haven't seen a huge issue with anything yet. Being that we aremostly playing a combat game and then a rp game at seperate times things seemto be a little bit easier to process even with the number of participants involved. This is a huge combat and it seems to be running smooth enough considering we are playing fromall over the world.

Hey everyone, until Monday or Tuesday of next week, feel free to take 1-2 days to post. We open a new store Sunday, and we fell behind on some of the work this week, so this whole week/end will be long days. I should update every day-to-two-days until mid-next week. I'll update tomorrow for round 5.
No problem. With this large of a crew and RL stuff, I think you're doing wonderfully.
About the movement - no biggie. I just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something in the rules. Just glad we're on the same page. :)

Like i said above, I think you're doing a fantastic job here. I was surprised you decided to run with such a big first event, but I'm actually really enjoying it. The speed of play to me is a non-issue. It's a pbp game... it moves the speed its players/DM can run it.
Loving the opponents. Loving the players. Loving the fight and the narration.
Basically, good job, man. Cant wait to see where this fight takes us.

Twang Slugbitter |

I've got to agree with the others. Given the size, number of actors and situation, this is running at blazing speed. And it's fun. I'm enjoying playing the lucky team mascot and BIg Death Reaper is a great image.
The whole trap situation is actually working better than I thought it would, to be honest. I've seen others try to put traps in these situations and either it slowed down play a lot or was a non factor.
Overall, I'm enjoying myself and that's what matters.

Who are we giving suggestions to?
If I were giving suggestions to Jun Yu on how to survive a round or two while reinforcements arrive, then I'd suggest he burn a ki for 4 more AC, then go full defensive, then try to tumble away. That should net him a +8 to AC for the next round.
: shrugs :
The lion(s) could still roll well and take him out, but if the dice have your number...

Crugonk "the Beaster" |

It seems my previous post went unseen.
About the Spotted Lion that attacked me in round 4
From the description I get that he was charging, how does he gets multiple attacks? or the charge was just descriptive?
Another thing (this is kind of my fault because I didn't wrote it): since Crugonk was waiting to charge I pictured him equipped with lance and shield, so his AC would be 21 (19 flatfooted). My fault, I'll take this damage. Could it be counted in next rounds?

Jack Cross |

Don't Lions have the Pounce ability? Which would allow the lion to full attack at the end of his charge.
They have pounce and rake. It stings when they get you in their claws.
If I were Yun I'd burn the ki for AC, tumble out of there and find a place to hide. Maybe a crevice he can squeeze into where the lions can't get too him? But then again such a survival tactic might be frowned upon by the captains when it comes to selecting the final team members so he might go all-inn and stand his ground...

Everyone, I am really sorry for disappearing. My MacBook's monitor decided to freak out and stay black, so I had to drive a few towns over to have it worked on. And, this week has been particularly hellish. We open tomorrow morning, and I've been pulling 18-20 hour days the last 4 days. I will post very very very soon, and then we're back on schedule.

The Announcer |

Yes. And, as you level up and gain wealth/buy equipmeny, potions of fly and swan boat feather tokens are an acceptable tactic. I won't begrudge you for using the same shenanigans I use for NPCs.
This was actually just foreshadowing, honestly, for if and when you ever have to fight the Bonegrinders. Thinky will drop ships on people, especially if they cluster.
