Well, I could step through and make the whole area foggy, so they can't see more then 5' away. That might slow them down a bit and make it hard for them to hit multiple of us.
We haven't found anything that makes one invisible have we? If I came through invisible, I could put up the fog and the others could move through and spread out... Then I could dismiss the fog when we are not all clumped up.

The red hued Twigjack moves out of the wall two tiny claws swinging out at William.
Claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 91d4 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 171d4 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Neither claw finding purchase.
Entry Hall Take 2 - Round 1 - Conditions: None
Dain, William
Red
Lanneth, Yori <---
Colourless
*Only issue I can see in your plan is you didn't tell Yori/Lanneth When to come through

Yorikata __ |

Moved the Twigjack into William's square. As a tiny creature has a reach of 0. And would therefore also provoke from William for moving there.
Yorikata steps through the portal and joins William in the fight agianst the tiny fey.
Stab: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 9 + 2 = 301d4 + 5 + 3d6 ⇒ (4) + 5 + (1, 4, 6) = 20
Confirm: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 9 + 2 = 221d4 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

William of Firstwall |

William continues his song of inspiration "Lo, there do I see my father..." He sees an opportunity as the tiny thing approaches.
+1 Greataxe PA: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 1 = 11
damage: 1d12 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 13 + 1 = 25

Lanneth |

Lanneth Uses her flight hex and then follows Yorikata through the portal and immeiately flies 20 feet up get a better view of the area and to be clear of any spray of twigs.
Flight Hex for 1 min. (round 1/10) Then move.

William of Firstwall |

"Impressive, Little One. 'Nother twig here somewhere."
William continues his song of inspiration "Lo, there do I see my mother and my brother and my sisters..."
He moves 10 feet due north.
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Yorikata __ |

"Maybe it left? It's a spacey area. No reason for a creture to sit in the same place all the time." Yorikata shrugs. But she looks around anyway, in case that splinter emanating thing reappears.

DM Raltus |

Yorikata moves forward pushing the doors open, there is no handle on them and the move without any noise at all. Before Yori is a bridge, a bridge with no railing over what looks like a very deep pit.
An extensive wooden bridge stretches across a wide, high chamber
and overlooks an exotic garden far below. The air is hot and humid,
and a powerful stench of overripe vegetation wafts throughout
the massive, domed chamber. The ceiling overhead is a complex
series of star-patterned glass that magnifies the rays of the sun
directly above. At the far end of the bridge, interwoven branches
form a doorway.

Lanneth |

Hold on Dear
Lanneth flies over near the door, and casts Comprehend Languages.
Then she reads the message over the door.
The message says:
“If you seek peace in nature, welcome. If you seek anything else, beware the wrath of the Vault of Thorns.”
That sounds like there is danger here Children. Be very careful what you attack.
Then as she looks through he door she says.
That smell, something is off here...

DM Raltus |

To fight the orcs...A voice says.
As you walk across the Bridge you notice the light becomes brighter, strong beams of light almost feel like they are blinding you as you walk across the bridge.
Party Order?
Initiative William: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Initiative Dain: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Initiative Lanneth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Initiative Yorikata: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Lurker: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Lurker: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

William of Firstwall |

This light is nasty, might be a trap
"Agreed. I have that feeling as well. Ideas? I know, sacrifice William. Other than that?"
"I have that feeling as well."
Must be the initiative...

Yorikata __ |

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (5) + 18 = 23
Yorikata checks, that the bridge is free all the way to the opposite side. "Last one there is a lame duck." She runs over the bridge, to reach the other side as fast as possible. No need to wait for some flying beast to shove her off the bridge.

Lanneth |

Raltus, that should be watches not "what he's". My phone autocorrected this morning obviously.

DM Raltus |

Yorikata hits the doors a head of her at a dead stop, there are what looks like vines in the shape of a lock there.
William scans the area but sees nothing, as he turn something hits him
strike: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 261d3 + 1 + 3d6 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (4, 4, 2) = 12
The Strike penetrates William's armor leaving a vicious wound on his back.
The creature flies through a less bright spot in the room, for a quick instant you get a glimpse of what it is.
This is a Lurker in the Light.

Lanneth seeing or not quite seeing William take a blow flies over to Yorikata with all haste.
"They seem to be what is called a Lurker in the Light, they have natural invisibility in bright sun light. Careful they can blind you Children." Lanneth calls out.
Yorikata feels a clink as the locks give way to her tools.

Stab: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 221d3 + 1 + 3d6 ⇒ (2) + 1 + (4, 6, 2) = 15
Dain makes a dash for the far side of the bridge, it is a long run for the short legged Dwarf.
A slash and blood pours out on the bridge as a blade bites into Dain.

Lanneth |

So much for coming in with a peaceful heart.
Lanneth shakes her head as another one of her companions gets hurt.
Hurry up dear, this may get nasty soon. There's no way to tell how many of them there are.
Although on the way back, I think I know how to make this a bit safer.
A fog cloud would help here I think since it would block the sunlight...

Yorikata __ |

Yorikata opens the door, in hopes it isn't worse behind them. If there is no obvious threat, she steps in and waits for her companions to cross the doorsil, to close the door again.
