Azrael doesn't detect anything evil other than a strong aura coming from the tent, it doesn't radiate form a person but a specific location within the tent.
Aron comes out still in his mail, he doesn't look Sosiel in the eyes or anyone else for that matter.
"So... you found out. I didn't bring it, it just appeared in my stuff after we fought at the Ford. I didn't want too, I did my best to resist it." Aron's voice is a bit ragged, his posture is slouched head down.

Azrael moves past Aron and into the tent letting his ability to detect evil guide him. He liberates and brings out anything there he finds. We have a traitor in our ranks or the enemy can come and go as they wish here. He states flatly. Holding up what he finds he adds, speaking to Aron This is an attack on you as sure as any sword thrust. Tell me how I can help you resist it further?

Lynn Warhaven |

There is no plan for them. Or are there paladins lining up demanding 'justice'?
"I guess now the issue is known Sosiel can help you again if someone tries that again." Lynn shrugs. "Besides that we should tell the paladins to check for evil sneaking in on a regular basis."

![]() |

After lending what moral support he can to both Aron and Sosiel Azrael goes to consult with Othirubo. Explaining the situation and showing the alchemist the drug he asks Is there anything you could do to help the man?

![]() |

Azrael nods. I would not force that upon the man, but will offer.it. If he wishes that help I will ask you to try. I wonder if this vile substance has any use to us. Might it somehow be used to track the demon soure?
If Aron wants it lets have Othirubo try to concoct some, else never mind.

Lynn Warhaven |

Lynn makes her way to the army to give them a heads up on the situation. She calls them into formation to muster. "Fellow fighters. An unfortunate situation arose. It may be that we are infiltrated. Someone used a weak spot of Aron to make him stumble over his past by smuggling in an evil drug. We know it was a recent event and can say for sure that he didn't bring it himself."
"And because this is a very specific attack on him personally it has to be someone who knows of his past."
"I want you now to do two a couple of things: Be alert, and have a close eye on what is happening in our camp. Watch out that no one walks in our out of the camp who shouldn't. Make use of your ability to detect evil."
"Second: Don't make judgements that aren't based on hard facts. If something arouses suspicion, tell me. We will check what's behind. But I don't want you to start to suspect the mongrelmen, or the tiefling who is with Arzael just because of their race. They are not beyond doubt, but Kenabres fell because of traitors in crusader armor. Don't let prejudice cloud your sight. Watch out for your friends and companions and have an eye out for everything that might be with bad intention."
"Third: Know who the enemy is. If this situation leads to us not trusting each other anymore, and fighting among ourself, we got a problem. If someone stumbles and falls, we will help him up again. But if that is because someone tripped them up, we need to put an end to this. But even if we are not able to point out whose responsibility that was: Our goal is still to free Dezren from the demons."
"The fact that we are aware how far the arm of the enemy reaches doesn't change that."
"Questions?"

DM Raltus |

MOst of the Paladins look around, The group has more than earned their trust and there are really no questions asked. There is some grumbling about a traitor in their ranks and you all feel them looking at you like it could be your team or the other new comers.
Night is quiet, the ruins offer some protection if you were attacked but no such thing happens in the morning.
Anything special you are doing before you move out?

Is Aron interested in the alchemical deterrent?
Azrael bunks with the alchemis but checks in on both Aron and Sosiel to see if he can help with anything.

Lynn Warhaven |

Lynn gets up early and searches an elevated spot to look into the Worldwound. There she sits down and draws the scenery. First as it is, and then she adds trees, and other plants and birds, flowers, deer, until it shows a lively scenery that has nothing to do with reality but the basic shape.

DM Raltus |

Lynn finds a spot just up on a hill slightly North east of the camp, it isn't to far away that anything would happen. Aron declines Azrael's invitation of a drug that will make him sick if he takes Shadow blood. Don after looking for a bit decides that there is no more Shadow blood in Aron's bags, Tink and SteelGate are off finding stone and other such oddities that fascinate Tink. Iko meditates on top of a long stone Pillar, showing off his impressive balancing skills.
Breakfast is made, a small meal as you will be finally entering the World Wound. Nurah comes out from her tent, a new book in her hands and a bunch of quills on what looks like a travelling case so she can write and walk at the same time.

Iko_ |

Iko goes through his morning stretches, making sure he's limber enough for what looks to be a hard day's travel...and fighting.

DM Raltus |

The Armies march out. A few Mongrelmen lead by Wendaug go out with Aniva and Aron. anyone else can join if they want to help scout
By mid Day the Army catches up with the scouts.
"There is a way temple up the cliffs here, I have never been up myself but it could have some items that we could find useful." Aron tells Irabeth and Lynn

![]() |

I would see this temple. Azrael states.

DM Raltus |

You want to take him with you?
Aron looks a little surprised at Lynn but shrugs and heads to the cliff face. The Cliff face once had a set of stairs there are stairs but not quite enough to make it up with out a bit of skill and some determination.
I will need 2 climb checks DC 15, one is at 30' and the other at 60'
The party climbs up a 1/3 of the stairs but gets to a part where there is only nubs left and it will take some climbing to get to the next part of the stairs.
Aron Climb: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Aron leads but manages to get himself tangled as he get half way across.
climb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Aron falls 30' to the ground.
acro: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
fall: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6
"I am ok, I will be back up in a few minutes" Aron gets himself up and rubs at his back before continuing back up the wall.

![]() |

Someone needs to climb up and secure a knotted rope. Azrael offers.

![]() |

Aural sets to knotting it but notes I am more quick than strong and am not a good climber. If no one is better I will try it, but I would think Iko might be a wise choice. No?
Lynn, your sheet says you are +8 to climb... Aural is +2.

Lynn Warhaven |

"Probably. Only Blue comes up more easily, but not with a rope."
Climbing with a rope at a wall is DC5. You only need knotted rope if you want to pull yourself up the rope with nothing to put your feet at. Also knotting shortens the rope by a significant amount.

As someone without a magical dragon scale I want to remind you that someone has one that allows levitation.
