Hit Green: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
”Bloody moving, just not...” He swung his mace ”...not long legged.” He wasn’t used to fighting with a shield. It felt like he just couldn’t get enough power behind the swing when fighting with but one hand. Hopefully, though, the added defense would make up for it.

Lorena
Terry does connect the second time the Creature dive bombs him, poking a decent sized hole. Khaz bashes the Teifling to the ground, Jocasta moves out behind Khaz as Firinn pokes out as well.
Yellow was dead from Firinn's held action
The door the red Tiefling was opening reveals a Large goat headed creature. The creature snots, lowering it's head and charges Khaz.
Powerful Charge: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 10 + 2 = 253d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 1, 6) + 4 = 17

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

Khaz raised his mace, feeling victorious. These heretics couldn’t stand against him. They would purge this place! He would return to his clan in glory. They would receive praise, medals, maybe even...
...his impious dreams were cut shot by a goat headed creature slamming into his back. A lesson from the gods, perhaps, on the standards of paladinhood.

Firinn |

Firinn sheathes his curved knife the moment there's enough room for him to do so, and pulls his bow. Just in time too as Khaz gets battered by a large creature that looks like a taxidermist's nightmare.
Firinn will let everyone else go past him and shoot from the back!

Terry the thief |

Not seeing a way to easily save his own behind, or to challenge for better position without more risk, Terry buckles down and tries to hurt the creature before him . . ..
Rapier: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Cold Iron Piercing: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

DM Raltus |

Terry stabs the Tiefling a head of him, the Tiefling's eyes go wide as a hole appears in his lung.
Staggered, Does anyone want to roll Knowledge checks? Demon? Magical Creature?
The cyan Tiefling moves down and opens the door behind the Demons.

Lorena. |

Seeing the flying creature strike and retreat from around the corner, Lorena sticks her hand out and points, not at the creature, but at its shadow from Terry's ioun torch, a little wisp of blackness appearing as she mutters an eldritch chant.
cast Shadow Trap on the flying thing. duration 4 rounds, dc15 will save to break free every round

Terry the thief |

Wait? The guy I poked at is BLINDED? That means he is denied Dex, and Terry got to do his Sneak Attack damage dice, too!
Sneak Attack Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3
More than enough to put him in negatives, right? Right? Reaching for a bone here, honestly.

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

Easily into the negatives. Probably the guy next to him too

DM Raltus |

Knowledge Arcana for the flying creature, Yes terry sorry it was blinded and is now dead. Lorena I will give it to you here because I just thought of it but it is throwing the shame shadow as Terry.
Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Lay on Hands: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3
Khaz swung his mace at his attacker. He didn’t expect it to go down, but by Bolka he was a dwarf! He dug in, ready to out last it.

DM Raltus |

Firinn is able to land a single blow on the Creautre, Firinn sees the Arrow not draw the wound he was hoping.
DR 5/Magic
The Demon rocks from Khaz's Blow but grins and swings back at him with a wickedly disgusting looking halberd that might have bite marks in it.
Halberd: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 271d10 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
The Demon then Headbutts Khaz with its horns.
Gore: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 201d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
The Red robed Tiefling makes for the open door and disappears, The Cyan teifling follows as well.
Khaz DC 15 fort save, I assume you're immune to disease?

Khaz, Jocasta, Firinn
Demon (-14)
Terry, Lorena <----

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

Yup, immune to disease. And 11 damage taken due to the shield providing enough AC to make the second attack miss!

Lorena. |

Unable to strike any of their enemies or move over to heal Khaz, Lorena instead focuses a bit of her divine power on Terry with a slight tap.
cast Guidance - +1 to any attack roll/skill check/saving throw of your choice, because why not.

Terry the thief |

Looking at the text description above and the map, I see a disconnect. The text above says that only the Magical Beast and Demon are still opposing us, but the map shows one of the Tieflings is still next to the Demon? I'm going to take a turn based on the text being right, not the map. If that's wrong, all of the below is void, because I wouldn't attempt step 1.
Not liking the situation, but seeing an opportunity, Terry grits his teeth and tries to improve things as best he can. He works to tumble around the thing next to both him and Khaz before trying to stick it with his rapier.
Acrobatics around to avoid drawing an AoO w/ Guidance: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 10 + 1 = 21 Maybe?
Rapier w/ Flank: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 7 + 2 = 20
Cold Iron Piercing w/ Sneak Attack: 1d6 + 3 + 2d6 ⇒ (6) + 3 + (3, 1) = 13
And if that hit, let's make him disoriented, for a -2 to all attacks and a -4 to attacks vs me!

DM Raltus |

Terry you're right I forgot to remove that Tiefling when I was doing the map yesterday, probably because I am at work when I do a lot of posting and got distracted by the work I am to do
Terry does manage to slip past the Demon stabbing it in the back and disorienting it CMD 20
The magical Beast tires to break free of the shadowy magic of Lorena.
Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Again failing to do so, moving only 5' It remains 15' in the air
Khaz DC 15 fort save, I assume you're immune to disease?

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

Hit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Cold Iron Damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
LoH: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 6) = 7
Khaz yelled the name of his goddess as he struck back. He knew that the only reason he was able to stand toe to toe with the creature was because of Bolka’s grace. The halberd was obviously enchanted, and he could feel the disease within it trying to assault him. But for her power, would he still stand? Blood ran freely from his wounds, but they healed almost as quickly as they were opened. If not for her mercy, would he already be dead? He had much to thank her for. But he also had much to repay. And at the moment, the best he could do was to give it his all to put this demon down.

Jocasta Riverwood |

Since she can't reach the peryton while it's up in the air, Jocasta settles for casting a quick spell and stepping in with her dueling sword.
Cast shocking grasp then step in for a spellstrike against Khaz's foe.
Dueling sword attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Dueling sword damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Shocking grasp damage: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 2, 4) = 12

DM Raltus |

Jocasta can you make a Caster level check to beat SR?
Khaz's blow is stopped by an invisible force surrounding the demon, a wicked smile takes over it's goat fast but is quickly erased as Jocasta's sword crackling with electricity just manages to penetrate its defenses. Jocasta's surprised that her energy pulse dissipates over the demon's skin harmlessly. Immune to Electricity
Firinn is able to land 1 blow that leaves a small nick of damage on the flying creature.
The Demon backs through the now open door, swinging his Halberd at Khaz again as he does.
Halberd: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 10 - 2 = 281d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Confirm: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 10 - 2 = 232d10 + 8 ⇒ (6, 1) + 8 = 15

Terry, Lorena <---

Lorena. |

Seeing an opening, Lorena summons forth more of her divine power, leaving her feeling a bit drained. Then, she steps up to Khaz and lets it flow into the dwarf through her touch, closing up the worst of his wounds. Then, grasping her spear, she turns to face the flying creature.
last 2nd level spell!
cure moderate wounds: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (8, 4) + 4 = 16

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

The blade hit Khaz on the head. It was the kind of blow which would kill most people. The fact that the dwarf still stood was a testament to his stubbornness...but he was on death’s doorway. But then Lorena appeared behind him, and the worst of his wounds closed. He wouldn’t die just yet.
That was too damn close. Thanks!

Terry the thief |

The human's brow furrows as he looks around and considers the options before him. Challenge the demon to single combat through a doorway? Stand below the flying beast and try to stick him in a leg? Flee, and teach his companions how worthless he really is?
Uncertainty and doubt cloud his mind, his thoughts almost stopping as his body moves across the floor, putting him beneath the unmoving flying creature. He jumps and attempts to stab as he reaches the height of his jump . . ..
Acrobatics to vertical jump w/ 20' of supporting movement: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Harumph. The dice don't like the idea. That's a measly 3' vertical. Always willing to try things as a player, though. So, if we give him credit and go for 6', that puts his head at about 9', and then arm and sword extension are probably not enough. I'll roll anyway, but I think the call should be that the roll will be irrelevant.
Leaping Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Cold Iron Piercing: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Well, pooh! The 16 on the jump would have been good for a 6' vertical, which should have been enough. Oh, well.

DM Raltus |

I will give you a +4 for kicking off the wall as you jump to get higher since that is cool, still not quite high enough
Terry kicks off the wall but the creature is able to flap out of the way of his blade avoiding the pointy end.
Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Still unable to break free of Lorenn'a spell the creature moves 5' further to the west

”A solid hit.” Khaz growled, his face covered in blood, though the wounds were already healing. ”Unfortunately for ye...” He swung his mace ”...I do not fight alone!”

DM Raltus |

Lorena gets in the creatures face to prevent Khaz from Being the Target, Khaz tries to attack around the door way into to the door clipping his Mace on the door frame allowing the Demon to avoid the blow.+2 AC from cover because of the angle Firinn's First arrow misses entirely but his second clips the demon drawing a line of blood.
Cold Iron Firinn?

Lorena. |

the thing is still flying 15ft right? I should be able to hit it with my spear, then?

Lorena. |

not what I meant - a normal melee weapon would hit 5 ft above (aka flying at 10 ft), while a reach would hit 10 ft above (aka flying at 15 ft). is it flying at 15 ft total or 15 ft above us (20 ft total)?

Lorena. |

ok thanks! 3D thinking is always weird.
With the flying creature directly above her, Lorena thinks she can reach it with her spear, so she awkwardly raises it and tries a stab.
attack (MW spear vs peryton): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Hit with flank: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 2 = 24
Cold Iron Damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
He felt completely and absolutely drained. All of the divine energy gifted to him had been used. All that was left was his own strength and skill, and even that was running out, given his wounds. But he was certain that together they would triumph.
