Oh yeah! I forgot about that.

Actually, now that I think about it, is it possible to use the mist levitate just for the cover it provides, or do I have to actually rise up with it?

If someone has to be on top for the mist to work, someone else that would be helped by a height advantage should take it, so I can just duck into the mist for cover.

Actually, we have a high level summoning wizard with us. If he helps out, we might actually be able to win such a large battle!

Is it possible to use the levitation scale to get out of reach without taking an aoo? It's very likely I can't tank another hit. Otherwise it's gonna be an AC boosting spell.


The ceiling is not that high in here about 10' at the most.

Sorry that took so long. I had to do some research. I really like Carter and I don't want his head knocked off in the second or third combat session.

So...my plan right now is to be very healing focused. If anyone can help me improve on this, I’d appreciate it.

Lvl 2: Lay on Hands
Lvl 3: VMC Oracle. Get channel at lvl-6, 1+Cha per day. (Goes up to 2d6 at lvl9)
Lvl 4: Hospitaler Channel at lvl-3, 3+Cha per day and Cha goes up to 16. (goes up to 2d6 at lvl 6)
Lvl 11: Aura of Healing

So at lvl4, I’ll have 1d6 channel 10x times per day. Which should suffice for awhile when it comes to out of combat healing.

I also plan to eventually buy Boots of the Earth (5k Gold) for fast moving 1 when standing still. This is because I am getting max HP, guardian mythic (+3 HP per level) and mythic Toughness (+2 HP per level). With Toughness14, that’s 17HP each level. So getting fast healing will solve a lot of problems when it comes to getting my HPs back up.

I figure that so long as I have (mythic) Power Attack and regukar furious focus, I should be alright in the damage department.

Khaz your attack comes at the top of the 3rd round, so the mongrels get to go for the actions in round 2, they have 15 HP but only 13 AC they are easy to hit but probably take 2 hits to kill.

So we are in the proper order of actions now.

Khaz - you don't get hospitaller channeling until level 4 I think, so you'd not have that until level 5 if you take a one level oracle dip.

I'm interested because I'm playing a healing paladin in another thread so I've looked at this a bit. What sort of Oracle were you looking at? I'm assuming Life, so would Life Link be worthwhile? I know a lot of Oradins take it and use LoH to keep themselves up - I can't decide if it's as effective the other way around...

Also the Oracle dip at third prevents you taking Greater Mercy until 5th - which isn't great because at this level GM is double healing most of the time.

I'd say 4 levels of hospitaler first, then the oracle level. Maybe Warrior of Holy Light (if it doesn't conflict) in order to get MORE LoH...

EDIT: Warrior of HL and Hospitaler do stack if you're interested. Hmm... this might be worth exploring.

Yup, VMC. Don’t want to lose BaB. But if I did dip, it’d probably be for Cha to AC ;)

Warrior of the Holy Light looks interesting. But losing all spell casting? That’s going to hurt, especially with mythic boosting Cha every other level (figure good saves and lots of HP =good defense)


Ahh - silly me!

I like WoHL personally, since I tend to think that the more LoH a paladin has the better - I'm not convinced the spells are worth it often, especially if your stick is going to be healing...

Yeah...that archetype is really tempting. But I’d lose...

Lvl 2: Litany of Righteousness

That is double damage...against many of our foes. Add in Smite and mythic Power Attack...

In this case, I think it is fair to say that we will go to H10, to H13 and then H14. While this does leave alot of the map unexplored...(a) our characters don't know this, and (b) we agreed to keep going left.

Khaz will, of course, lead from the front in this. :)

Here's the description for it:
Splintered Spear (Su)
As a standard action, you can create a wooden shortspear appropriate to your size, which hurls itself as a ranged attack against one target within 100 feet (range penalties apply), using your Intelligence modifier as an attack bonus instead of your Strength or Dexterity modifier. The spear deals normal damage according to its size, plus your Intelligence modifier, then breaks into countless splinters; the target takes 1 point of bleed damage each round on its turn. At 6th-level and every 6 levels thereafter, the spear gains a +1 enhancement bonus and the bleed damage increases by +1. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Intelligence modifier.


So it would be affected by the DR of creatures
