@ GM - I'm not seeing a lot of damage inflicted on the good Watchmen. Please advise, if I'm missing something. Or other PC's advise if you are under half. I'll heal instead of getting the War Razor into play.

I see how it is Fearless. You want Player vs Player combats. I see how you are playing this. You even "Demi Lovato'd me" with your Sorry/Not Sorry.
Laughing! I LOVE this game. It's like no other.

@ Fearles. Just a quick FYI. Did you want to use one of your two bottlecaps? Not certain it's needed, but I don't want you coup de grad'd if a reroll could have helped. I don't think Underhill will survive, but ...........

Happy five years of playing Strange Aeons! I really can not believe that it’s been five years of insanity. For the first time, I can say that and it’s very true and not a play on words. All the people, including himself, that Brother Butterfly is traveling with is insane!
I look at this and I think about how I’ve known Fearless and Cats and Mariner longer than I have any of my employees or co-workers! I have known them longer than FOUR The Fast and the Furious movies (BTW, not even seen one of them). This next one will jar all of you, when we first started, Olivia Rodrigo hadn’t even been old enough to date all these boyfriends she’s trashing in her teeny-bopper songs that are all the rage of 2021.
F-I-V-E years. That’s way longer than I dated any of my past girlfriends (except my current wife of 15 years). That’s longer than all but one of my cars have survived (my truck lasted a decade). What I’m getting at is that Cats, Fearless, Mariner, and my Doopleganger brethren-- that are attacking Mariner’s ship right now and killing his crew --have known each other a significant chunk of my life.
Thank you – you insane yahoos for the fun and memories as we progress the story even further forward.

Hmmm...
You know I've been playing PbP for about 10 years?
You know that I've had some of the longest (most posts) on these boards? Many of my completed campaigns are in the top 50.
And you know what else is true? I have more memories in this campaign with you yahoos than I do in any other, no matter the length. Even if Kast is surrounded by crazy people, it's working and wouldn't change a thing.
This is good s@#&.

I’m trying to understand this too.. completed campaigns in top 50.. I know you are a posting maniac, but are you saying you’ve played close to 50 campaigns, or that you have a list of the top 50 longest campaigns and you’ve been in a lot of them?
Either way, wow.
Also, you crazy bast@Ed’s are the soul of this campaign. Another group would have murder-hobo’d to the end already, but there is so much great roleplaying here that a throwaway scene often becomes an inspiring moment. I sometimes need a few days just to process and compose a post worthy of the effort you all put in.
Everyone gets a bottlecap!

I forgot who wrote it, either T or P, one of you said that you found PbP offers a depth of character development that just doesn't exist in tabletop - so very true. My first PbP, no surprise, was (14 years ago?) when Rah pulled me in to try PbP on dndonlinegames.com which later became mythweavers.com. (Remember Sturgeon Abe?) Immediately, I found 'Wow, I could never expressed that character aspect in live games.'
Despite that, there are games with non-writers or just poor gamers, that it's hard to develop. With four super vets on here, it's fantastic.
Occasionally, I walk around feeling a little Mariner-ish.

" As if I never noticed the way she brushed her hair from her forehead. " - Paul Simon Graceland.
To which I answer, "YES". I am floored at how much of an expert you are with this PBP. Strange was my first PBP (and T & P are in or running my other two PBP's). I was told to read Painlords guide to PBP and that was like Reading, The Ancient Art of War. It opened my eyes. I say this with no intent to embarrass you, but you are a stud Painlord. I love this method of PBP, it allows me to roleplay and stay married....for I know I'd be divorced if I tried to be in/run three campaigns!I too am interested in this Top 50 list. I know I read about 1/2 of your posts on Giant Slayer. I may just look for your Kingmaker campaign and take a cruise reading that.

And still this one has the most memories.
And also the least memories!
The backstory for each of these characters was mostly lived through in those early days of Briarstone. The official adventure path begins after the asylum gets wrecked, and in that version the characters have no reference for just how terrible and twisted the people and place has become. I’m very glad I ran the pre-game.

Hey all! I I’m running a live-play DnD game tonight from 8pm-10pm Pacific Time on Twitch.
It’s a DnD 5E game (I still prefer PF, but I’m a sellout) and I’m running the new adventure “The Wild Beyond the Witchlight”
You can stream it here: Misfit Table Presents the Wild Beyond the Witchlight
There are two background zero sessions already on YouTube here: Youtube Sessions 1 and 2

How much gold do we have to spend?
I checked with my character sheet and I'm at about 30K. Which is still higher than where Cats is at. I don't THINK I need anything, but I find it odd that all my basics are at +1 (armor, shield, war razor). No rings, or cloaks.
Note: I have a wand of Restoration, Herolab says it's worth 20K, but that's impossible. I think it only has a few charges.

"Cats" |

I Cleaned up the whole mess. PC's look at your player summary to update your Herolab sheets as I cut and pasted stuff with your name to your section.
I moved all sold items (Except a few I mistakenly deleted worth 1370 (so it was all minor garbage) to the Sold Tab.Grand total: 36040 GP-- so 9010 each for the 4 main PC's. If we need to outfit Pinkie, I say we break off a grand each and give him 4K and we have 8? But, it appears that Pinkie has some stuff based on what I have read.
Hmm…it looks like it’s that time of the year again, our once a year shopping spree.
I can take the first stab at doing the loots; I think it’s my turn. And looks like the starting point is 9/27/20. I won’t be able to get to it until this weekend, but will be happy to make it happen..

DM Rah |

Don't worry about Pinkie for the moment. If he returns I'll work something out then.
Also, just in case I wasn't clear, the Dreamlands loot only exists in the Dreamlands.
Last thing, I missed a small reward that should have been handed out by the Stardust Augers - a wand of break enchantment (34 charges), and a ring of protection +2.

Hey all! Good news! I have successfully tallied ALL the loot from both the Dreamland and not since page 129, our last tabulation.
And GOOD NEWS!! I have put the detail of each page below.
You are all welcome!!!
Page 130: nothing
Page 131: Dreamland:
10 sapphires worth 1000gp each
A periapt with a black diamond (Quaveandra’s heartstone)
Page 132: Jack s@+&, vine combat
Page 133: Dreamland, Ghast
Page 134: Dreamland, Ghast:
Treasure: a jade necklace of fireballs (type VI), and a silver bracelet of friends.
Page 135: Butterfly’s wife, no loot
Page 136: Nothing
Page 137: Slenderman, Dreamland
Page 138: Dreamland Prison
Page 139: Dreamland Prison, Kilt a dragon and no loot
Page 140: Dreamland Prison, kilt MoonCat
Page 141: Dreamland Hallow Musical Staff
Page 142: Got memories back, no loot
Page 143: Current page, no loot, we just kilt our evil selves in the Dreamland
Dude, I went through the pages. THERE IS NO LOOT THERE. Nothing in real life to sell. I’m pretty sure GM Rah is rightfully laughing at Cats when he suggested selling stuff…but we have nothing real to sell. LOL.
YOU ALL GET NOTHING. THANK YOU. GOOD DAY.gif <willywonka.gif>

I have a feeling that there is another Strange Aeons party, out there, who started after us and is walking through the same adventure, just freely picking up all the magics and loots we have been leaving behind. They are so loaded…and they are just trailing us to pick up free treasure.

"Cats" |

Bwahahaha!
Is there stuff that we missed? Should have asked about? How can we fix this going forward, or is this AP design?
Just want to be sure where we are and what we are doing.

DM Rah |

Due to the Dreamlands playing such a large roll in Book 3 it delivers very little real world treasure, though you have collected some items, and something is literally right around the corner.
There was a recent reward from the Augurs - a wand of break enchantment (34 charges), and a ring of protection +2. I know, not huge, but also keep in mind that every character got a permanent +2 bonus to an ability score at the Oasis, which is the equivalent of a +2 tome or manual value of 55,000.

![]() |

I was thinking about it, and I was struck by how I could easily see Brother Butterfly actually *counting* and keeping score on the number of conversations and discussions he's won vs lost. He has that much of an ego/ need for things that affirm him.
He's got problems.....

"Cats" |

Hey All, just getting an interest check on continuing this game. Seems like we’ve lost…almost everyone and are lucky to get a post a week.
I’m not super interested in trying to drag this out. Are we in or out on this game?
I love this group to death, but we gotta post and play to make it worthwhile.
