I loved many parts of the Wheel of Time, but I’ll admit I yawned through a fair part of the middle. Honestly, I had similar experiences with Tolkien - pony side plots, sing-along dwarves, Arcenstone mcguffins, Tom WTF Bombadil, and flying eagles that could’ve solved every problem in all the books in one page. I mean, it was epic and awesome, but seriously, it wasn’t the perfect story everyone likes to remember.
Anyway, my daughter is about to start the Wheel of Time. She’s heard the negative reviews, but she’s also a huge Brandon Sanderson fan and I feel authors like Jordan is a must read to better understand modern fantasy that was clearly inspired by his work.

Don't get me wrong, I intend to listen/read to the entire WoT series again...someday, because it has value and joy and fun.
In fact, just recently re-listened to both Magician:Appentice/Master in the past 2 weeks after not reading them in 15+ years, and have no regrets. Those two books, along with Silverthorn and Darkness@Sethanon are quality, just like WoT or LotR.
Just fun fantasy s$#!, yo.

I am reading Piers Anthony's Xanth Series to all the kids (9-12 yrs old). Just got to page 65 on the first book - A Spell for Chameleon.
Kids are REALLY jazzed about it. They LOVE the odd-ball world.

"Fearless" |

I really enjoyed the Death gate Cycle. A 7 book series written by the authors that wrote a lot of DragonLance. Weis and Hickman. Very neat Fantasy / Sci-Fi series. Not sure how much I would classify sci-fi but don't know how else to explain some of it.

Oh man, The Magician Books are among my favorites!
On another note, who has read David Eddings? Belgariad, Mallorian, etc
Eddings? Totes m'goats. Such a fun series.
Xanth and Centaur Aisle is what saved my life, btw. I was young when those came out and not a reader until I saw those.

@Cats. We have to be around the same age, because I feel the same way. I read a decent amount -but really for school only - until F. Scott Fitzgerald and the Xanth Series. I started on Castle Roogna and Centaur Aisle (great story!).
I then moved towards DragonLance and Weiss and Hickman... so it's fun to see others with similar footprints.

Just so you all know, the world friggin' LOVES us!
I heard we got a total of 26 Emmy Award nominations yesterday.
Can you believe it?! I'm certain Fearless earned about 4 or 5. Mariner
and Cats earned about as many too. Heck Pinkie just got back and earned at least one.
Of course the lions share is for a crowd pleasing Brother Butterfly, but we really need to take a bow at garnering TWENTY SIX Emmies for The Watchmen! Who knew saving Thrushmoor and tap dancing around Razmiran would get us critical acclaim?

It’s pretty amazing. I think our Church scene is up for best episode. They would have nom’d Butterfly-Fearlesses-Dectective Lady’s ménage a trios but there was no way that was getting by the censors due to explicit content.
Yeah, it’s pretty amazing. Concatulations all.

Oh man, the two part episode where Cats has to kill his old girlfriend (Risi) in the streets. They always show quick clips of them hunting each other. Fans were in a froth when the producers ended the first episode on the cliffhanger. Cats injured and alone- with a bleeding out wound.
I hope that one wins. The way the editors blended Fearless's cries for Cats -- just how they seem to echo off the abandoned streets with a hopeless kind of echo. And then the *THUNK* of Cat's arrow fletching deep onto Risi's chest.
I mean, Kast & Risi's acting and the tension made the scene, but hats off for the Audio/video editors for putting 4 of the 5 senses together!

Sheesh.... Fearless is already acting like he's won or something. What a big head on a little body. Sheesh. He got nominated (albeit a lot), the real proof is awards night. I sure hope we get this boat to shore in time to attend!

Ideas:
Self Hate - self cutting. Will save before every battle, fail is a Bleed 1 hp.
Scent of Fear - s~++s himself. Fort save before every Diplomacy, fail affects others' attempts.
Sweaty Panic - lose grip. On the 1d10th round, Ref save or drop weapon.
Other suggestions?

Not sure on purchases yet. Will hold up a moment to see what we have after selling items.

Yes, we still have Red Destiny, but you probably lost the amulet of natural armor you previously had - see treasure list. You gave us Red Destiny back and we've been holding onto it.

It looks like the magical longsword from Wairalai on line 115 has never been identified.
Can anyone Identify? If better than the +1 the Mariner is using, then he'll switch out.
He'll take the last CMW to hang on his neck. I marked it on line 99.

![]() |

Oh, I forgot to roll HP's. My character sheet I had defaulted to 8 (wishful thinking I bet).
Here goes.... wishing for Desna's luck!:
HP: 1d8 ⇒ 5

![]() |

I updated the treasure sheet. I can/will take some time to put down sale values.
I also removed a couple items and entered them onto BB (for a couple items I claimed).
I put 1000 GP into the party gold for the sale of the medical records.

![]() |

Alright. Everything in the "Sell Column" Is 28974 in total GP's.
There's a lot that can also still be sold or moved to be sold, but I marked the straight forward stuff.
Please review quickly, I'll disperse tomorrow afternoon.
We also have 2883 in "gold in hand".
The grand total -without factoring in changes - are 31857 or $7964 divided 4 ways. $6371 divided 5 ways.

![]() |

I Cleaned up the whole mess. PC's look at your player summary to update your Herolab sheets as I cut and pasted stuff with your name to your section.
I moved all sold items (Except a few I mistakenly deleted worth 1370 (so it was all minor garbage) to the Sold Tab.
Grand total: 36040 GP-- so 9010 each for the 4 main PC's. If we need to outfit Pinkie, I say we break off a grand each and give him 4K and we have 8? But, it appears that Pinkie has some stuff based on what I have read.
Side Note: @ Cats, you have a Chain +1 and a Mithril Breastplate+1. You can sell that for more personal cash to buy your belt.

"Cats" |

Thanks for doing this Brother Catterfly.
