Sorry about late post was in class. Yeah Sweetman going with half-elf Inquisitor of Gorum.

DM Keddah:

He was born in Southern Brevoy near Restov. He is loyal to his family and the church of Gorum as of right now if he makes friends he would be loyal to them as well. He is fine with any follower of any other Gods.
The three traits I thought of using are Elven Reflexes,Suspicious, and Rostlander. I might change Suspicious to something else though maybe the trait that gives a bonus to fear saves since he is trying to be brave like the heroes he has dreamed about.

Oh yeah Rune my spoiler and yours got mixed up during the posting. I forgot say it in my other post and edits take awhile to be seen.

Hey thanks Mrdarknlight, hadn't seen it, thanks for pointing that out!

DM Keddah:

Well, I've took a hard long look at the Oracle, and as far as I can tell, the design goal was to have them be pantheists, following a number of gods associated with their beliefs. So Alexei believes the gods provide the power and allow the spirits to reach him, so he honors them in any way he can (making offerings, prayers, etc). He believes that those gods guard the souls of the deceased warriors of the past in their planes, and he hopes to someday be worthy of such an honor.

About raventhorn; we both participated in a game, and he had some falling out with some other members of the group. I don't mind playing with him, and I actually believe he had a cool character with an amazing backstory.

Here ya go! Let me know anyway I can make him fit better!

The Man:
More at home among the wilds of Rostland than in even the most rural village of Brevoy, Brennor Styvolich’s life has been one of constant movement. Raised by his mother Ilva, a dedicated forester, Brennor was taught early on the importance of the deed in one’s life. Kings came and went, but the throne is often far away and their reach into the most remote stretches of their lands are weak to say the least. That leaves protecting those subjects too weak to defend themselves on the shoulders of the community. Community after all is the foundation of a kingdom. With these ideals in tow, Brennor and his mother travelled Rostland hunting aberrations to the natural order and aiding the hearty folk of the land however they could.

His childhood saw Brennor dragged from remote mountain tops to dense dark forests, always on the move and rarely sleeping in an actual bed. Ilva saw that he received a practical education; Brennor could string a bow before he could read and because of this he is still remains somewhat ignorant of social norms and etiquette. He is no fool however and has gradually developed a keen sense of awareness; he can read people quite well if only to realize whether or not he has somehow insulted them.

Where Brennor differs from his mother is that he does not detest civilization and the ways of cities. He cringes every time forests are clear-cut and local animals wiped out, but he sees humanity as just an extension of nature; albeit a destructive one. This behavior comes from humanity’s ignorance and willingness to take the easy way rather than risk discomfort. To address these issues, Brennor spent time in towns, far more than his mother would’ve liked. He interacted with the locals of whatever area he and Ilva travelled to, teaching them ways to harvest, live, and thrive without obliterating the local environment. It was this harmony and balance that drew the attention of the Staglord.

A great white elk came to Brennor in his dreams. The elk said only one word, ‘South‘. A great period of confusion followed as Brennor tried to interpret what such a dream meant yet overtime it revealed itself. A call had gone out across Rostland; the Swordlords sought skilled men and women to settle along the Stolen Lands. Despite the signs, Brennor ignored the call and continued his work as usual, but he was plagued each night by visions of an unending wilderness as beautiful as it was deadly. The dreams became more and more vivid to the point where each night seemed like a week spent in the wilds. Brennor then headed southwards in search of a band heading to the Stolen Lands. As he traveled he found that his aim became truer and he developed an almost animalistic sense to discern the intent of travelers he met along the road. Nearing his goal, Brennor dreams more and more of the great white elk each night, though now he’s gradually understood that his destiny is to serve the will of the Staglord and ensure that the wilds are safe both from and for settlers from Brevoy and beyond.

The Person:
Brennor constantly looks as if he hasn't shaved or bathed in weeks, no matter how hard he tries to be socially presentable. He is a tall, barrel chested young man with scraggly brown hair and a dark beard inlaid with striking strands of red hair. His clothes are homespun and his armor is patchwork, yet all well maintained.

Personality wise, Brennor is jovial and fun loving. He relishes life and has a seemingly infinite amount of patience. He is quick to make friends and even quicker to defend them. He has a soft spot for the weak and infirm and will do all that he can to aid them.

Though he'll never admit it, he is incredibly claustrophobic and gets very uncomfortable in cramped conditions, even natural occurring caves.

The Legend:
Brennor's desire is to see the settlements in the stolen land survive and thrive without doing too much damage to nature. He'll be going straight archer-paladin as his understanding of Erastil's will grows. Kingdom role wise, he'd gladly be king ;D as that'll ensure the new nation's growth isn't destructive. But he'll gladly put the crown aside if someone more qualified comes along

Hello , presenting Simon Bornen a paladin of Erastil
Frankly , the concept is the same as Inquisitor Leet so he would have precedence
The character was in a Kingmaker which died after one or two encounters

Spoiler:
Here is a little background .
Simon was born in a little farm in Brevoy near the forest. his parents are hard-working people but the terrain was poor and Simon is not the heir . While helping his brother working the farm, Simon want to help more people . Joigning the militia was a first step evec if it only meant being able to assemble twice a month to learn how to use weapons .
Once a adult , simon took leave of the family and moved to a bigger town with the idea of joigning the town's guard . After a few day of observation , hze found out that life in a big town is not for him and that the companionship found amongst farmers fighting together to eke out a living is clearly missing in a big town
At a bit of a loss , he has just heard of a offer to go fight some bandits ...

DM Keddah

Spoiler:
I honestly hadn't given it a whole lot of thought, and was kind of leaving it open in case you had an idea you wanted to run with. There could be a chance that Ava survived and was carried off or whatever you can think of. I like the idea of Edmond being none the wiser at first however. He's a man who has dedicated his life to the blade in order to numb the emotional trauma he experienced three years prior, and he still has nightmares about it. Perhaps Edmond will hear rumors that his wife and unborn child lived, and it would certainly increase his want to leave no rock unturned in the exploration of the stolen lands.

Additionally, i feel I should note, I plan to at least increase his knowledge(Engineering) as he increases in level. He lived a successful life as an Engineer and it's a passion of his. I know it won't come into play for awhile but when it does, Edmond will be very interested in the Architecture/designing of streets and buildings of the new kingdom

I'll get to work on it after work, as I have some dice that create interesting concepts, or an old concept with a twist.

I've been making the list of races and classes (and their archetypes) that I would like to randomize the character with.

DM Keddah:

This method has generated some very interesting Characters, whether PC or NPC. For example (NPC) Alkaid is a 1/2 succubus cleric with a few monk levels, but it was her personality and quirks that my players liked a lot.

When I generate characters, I only control the stats, skills and feats, everything else is in the roll of the dice.

And it does require a table for some parts.

You did not answer my question on, if the tiefling options in Council of thieves was allowed or on the Changeling (it's in CC haunting of Harrowstone) is also open for use.

Mark Sweetman:
I must admit a summoner may be a bit intimidating for my first PbP DMing, that said I'm more than willing to give it a try if the background is attractive. No problem with using an archetype for ISM but you'll have to wait until tomorrow for full approval since I don't have the book but have a player who has everything Paizo an can borrow it from him.

Magnus Wolfgang:
Ragathiel firs much better both the class and the archetype. I'm waiting for the full backstory

Rune:
Sorry, seems I made a mistake while copypasting my answers from Word. It's good to know there wouldn't be any trouble if both you and Raventhorn got picked. I'll get back to you with more questions onve I've had a bit more time to look at evey character

Mrdarknlight:
Thanks for pointing my mistake with the spoilers. I'll get back to you with more questions later

Malaswyn Tyddewi:
What would be the reason for Malaswyn to be in Brevoy and interested in going into the wild Stolen Lands? Does he have any acquitances in Restov or any other plave in Brevoy? Thanks for the interest!

Silstaren:
I like you character and he is the first one who is capable of surviving in the wilderness, so that's a plus for you. I like the background but will be reserving judgement if you want to change anythng about it. Have you thought which campaign treat you'd like to take? Thanks for the interest!

Inquisitor Leet:
I like the character, I really do. It's a paladin but not the classic stuck up paladin. As I've said to Hu5tru I expect a character who wants to be king to earn it, not to expect his +4 charisma to get the throne for him. I'll get back to you if I have any questions.

Simon Bornen:
I'd like to see a more expanded backstory. I don't want a novel but a bit more of detail would make your character more appealing for me. If you feel like getting down to it you'll be given the same chance as any character, doesn't matter who came first. Thanks for the interest!

When I said "We'll be playing the magnificent 6 player conversion found in these very same forums" that's the one I was referring to so... PLAYER'S STAY AWAY :P

DM_Keddah:

Got 6 random results

*Note: the second class will be dipped into for a total of 2-6 levels pending on the build.

1) Changeling Ranger(normal or wildstalker)/Barbarian(urban)
2) Assimar________Cleric (normal) / Monk (martial artist)
3) Half-elf_________Ninja / Monk (martial artist)
4) Changeling______Fighter(unarmed)/Ninja
5) Half-elf_________Sorcerer / Dragon disciple
6) Tiefling(Demon)__Ninja/Ranger

I'll start coming up with the concepts themes, back stories, and ideas on personality for each one.

Strange , iI could have sworn I did put the background . anyway there it is

Spoiler:
Here is a little background .
Simon was born in a little farm in Brevoy near the forest. his parents are hard-working people but the terrain was poor and Simon is not the heir . While helping his brother working the farm, Simon want to help more people . Simon Bornen:
I already read that background, I meant that maybe you could expand it more

Azure Zero:
I have access to both CoT an CC so there's no problem with you using Changeling and Tiefling variants from them. I'm curious to see where do those random characters get you

You mean How I generate them?

Generation:

How I do it is simple, but a little long.
Make a list of races and class you want, but keep it short and even
i.e. the list I used;
Race:
Half-elf
Changling
Assmiar
Tielfing

Class:
Cleric
Fighter/Barbarian (they are to similiar and to keep it even)
Monk
Ranger
Ninja
Sorcerer

Then you use dice to emulate a tree based tournament
with the higher roll winning and ties as rerolls.

Then if you want a second class repeat the above class rolling this method can also applied to archetypes for the winning class(es).

Gender:
For gender which I am doing now
roll 2 dice of same size (d4s, d6s, d8s)
and do an even/odd compare.
if both are odd or even then it's female
if one is odd and the other even it's male
just like the human sex chromosomes

*Note: that this method does tend to have a slight tilt to females the variance ranges from 1% to 5% pending on dice size.

DM_Keddah - appreciate the reticence on the Summoner. I am still knocking about some other ideas in my head (such as a Beast Master / Luring Cavalier) and will weigh back in once I've made up my mind.

Nazard here. The crunch is in the profile. I apologize for not having the fluff yet. It's in my head, but work was busier than expected and I didn't have time to get it into databyte form. Will do so as soon as able and before your deadline.

DM_Keddah - ok, have found a way that seems to even work a bit better for the idea that I have.

I will be putting forward a Elvish Druid with the Menhir Savant archetype (from Ultimate Magic) and the Eagle Domain.

Will hopefully have full details knocked out later today.

Just thought I'd add in my half-orc Armored Hulk Barbarian if he has a place in here. if he does just let me know and Ill have a backstory within the hour of the notice.

Dm_Keddah:
Xerell's loyalty is offered at many places, he respects his mother but wants to strive away from her, the information network is always at the top of his loyalty list since that's what he wants to form in the new realm. He really doesn't care about the realm itself he treats it as a everchanging player in his game. Though the group will recieve his loyalty since he will share leadership with them, he might as well get on there goodside so he can blind them from his network.

For your second question, he'll be one to switch up from range to melee and depending what the situation is. I couldn't afford a range weapon that I believed fit him so that is why he doesn't really have one at this time. Though I will probably be in melee most of the time as you thought.

DM Keddah:

Spoiler:
Switched the trait from noble to bastard. Her father was already married to a human woman when he had his affair with Lysa's mother and so refuses to accept her claim because in doing so he would have to admit his cheating.

DM_Keddah:
Alright then. I'll have a look at it anyway, you may have given me an idea for a Sawtooth sabre wielding NPC
Oh dear... I may live to regret that ;-)

In terms of the changes that I mentioned, I have switched his alignment to NG, and turned the Half-Elf bonus feat into Skill Focus (Perception).

In terms of other 'unusual' stuff, please note that I took the APG half-elf alternate race feature 'Arcane Training', which means that Geoffrey can activate spell-trigger and spell-completion items that are on the 'Witch' spell list as a 1st level Witch :-)

DM Keddah:
k updated background and if I may so im quite proud of it at 11 o clock at night haha

Doomed Hero here, presenting idea one (The Man who would be King) for consideration.

The character sheet includes the background idea I have and the basic mechanics.

I would be inerested in applying. Will have an profile pu ogeher and for all to see as soon as possible.

And some of the info for my Elven Druid submission (who will be called Hathin De'Lark). Backstory will be posted tonight when it has been fully polished.

Crunchy Bits:
Str: 12, Dex: 16, Con: 12, Int: 10, Wis: 16, Cha: 10
Race: Elf; Class: Druid; Archetype: Menhir Savant
Choose Domain instead of Animal Companion, and choose Eagle Domain
Feat: Fey Foundling (Inner Sea World Guide)
Traits: Pioneer, Eyes of the Wild (Faiths of Balance), Child of Nature
Skills (inc Favored Class Bonus): Handle Animal, Knowledge (Geography and Nature), Perception, Survival

Appearance:
The elf before you stands in hard-wearing green and brown clothing complete with a heavy hooded cloak that can be drawn against the rain or cold. The brown hair on his head is long and unruly, but does little to hide his telltale ears. His face is youthful and clean-shaven, a counterpoint to the many years that he has already lived.

For arms he carries a walking staff that has a cross-piece atop it that serves as an occasional perch for his majestic companion – a young wedge-tailed eagle. A bow shaft is secured over his shoulder and a low-slung quiver is at his hip. When an arrow is drawn it becomes clear that the head is struck from stone rather than iron.

In demeanour Hathin is a relatively quietly spoken elf, though issues of nature and animals can raise him to a flushed anger. While not opposed to the progression of human society, he is definitely more at ease in the natural world than a city.

Future Goals:
Hathin will seek to ensure that whatever kingdom is constructed there is a good balance between the requirements of society and respect for the world itself. He would eventually seek to act as the Marshal, or potentially a Councilor.

From a build side he will primarily be an archery and spellcasting combatant. Eventually his ability at shapechanging will allow for flexibility and allow him to muck in to close combat when required. While not a primary healer, he will be able to be a back-up support healer when required.

His eagle “Malfini” will be his eyes above, constantly in motion and feeding back information, while still remaining close. The eagle will likely not have much of a combat role, but is there as an added flavour to the character.

DM Keddah

Spoiler:
If you're still okay with a half-elf taking the bastard trait here is some fluff for her. I haven't named the human father yet though:

Alyssanna was the daughter of a wealthy Elven merchant who was traveling with her father's caravan through the human lands of Brevoy when she succumbed to the amorous advances of a handsome human man. Their affair ended after Alyssana overheard another man congratulating her lover on the birth of his first child and she found out that he as married. She did not realize that she was pregnant until after she had returned to her families home down in the River Kingdoms with the caravan.

Alyssanna tried to love her daughter, but it was hard to forget about the betrayal she had felt and was reminded of it daily by her daughters half-human features. Lysa grew to adulthood never feeling quite accepted by her Elven family and as soon as she came of age decided to travel back to the land of her conception and attempt to find her father.

When Lysa finally found her father, he denied ever having an affair with an Elf and called Lysa a liar. Brokenhearted Lysa has been trying to find a way to get him to acknowledge their kinship. Her latest idea was to volunteer for the mission to tame the Stolen Lands and to bring them back under the rule of Brevoy. Surely her father would accept her is she became a famous hero?

And Hathin De'Lark's background..

Background:
Hathin De’Lark does not know his real name. The one he bears was gifted to him by those that served as his parents. The De’Larks were an impoverished young human couple living on the shores of the Sea of Mists and Veils. One morning as the man went forth in the early mist to ply the waters for fish, he found a swaddled bundle with a baby within at the water’s edge. Unable to leave the child to die, he took it home and raised it with his wife.

As the babe was an elf he slowly aged, while time marched on for the De’Larks. The wife was found to be barren and unable to bear a child, so they funneled their love into their wild elven child. As he grew up his adoptive father taught him what he could, how to survive in the wild and how to navigate by the sun. The De’Larks did not worship any individual god, but instead saw all the divinity that existed within all things of natural source.

While Hathin remained ever youthful, his parents eventually passed on leaving him bereft of relatives or means. He gathered up what possessions were worth keeping and moved on. Travelling to Skywatch he eventually found work as a scout for the militia there – working alone to keep track of what transpired in the wilderness. It was during these long weeks alone in the mountains.

During the solitude he found that if he carefully listened, the earth was speaking. Some areas were louder than others, but all was alive. It was tracing along one of these lines of power that he came upon a nest of eagles amongst the rocks. The birds of prey allowed him to get close and he reveled in their majesty. For the weeks and years that followed he always revisited that nest, tracking the group as it lived, loved and died. Hathin was content.

However the guard captain who hired him was already aging and getting towards retirement. The one set to replace him was an obstinate brute who held no favor for Hathin. The outgoing captain passed word of a charter that was being drawn for adventurers to claim the Stolen Lands and thought that it would be of interest. Taking heed of his words of wisdom, Hathin went out to the nest one last time to say his farewells.

However a near tragedy greeted him. A wildcat had attacked the nest and scattered them. Most chicks were dead, but one clung stubbornly to life. As he set off for the meeting, Hathin began to nurse the young eagle back to life. Last part of the background can be a bit malleable to possibly link into some of the other apps – eg if there is a Noble Born of Orlovsky, the characters could have known one another before the game start

Lysa Arianna:
I love the concept no problem with the father not being named yet, I like the background to expand durinh play as new ideas that fit occur both to the player and the GM. I'll get back to you if I have any questions

Mark Sweetman:
I like the concept very much, especially the fact your character seems to be emotionally attached to his eagle in spite of it not being a true Animal Companion, I think it makes for a poor character if one of the main relationships it has is treated as a mere mechanical matter

DM Keddah, States of the 6:

Current data on the 6

I am working on their backstories.

but to lighten the load, which 4, do you like most

All are Neutral Good alignment and female, darn tilt (won't go against result).

traits: Rostlander, Armour Expert, Indomitable Faith
Personality: Tomboyish, knowledgable, has a bit of a temper
Goal: Queen, Mashal or Warden
Brief Backstory: Was raised in the wilds with her adoptive father and when he died she had to fend for herself more and in doing so starting earning a reputation as a good hunter, guide in the wild and a unique combat style.

2) Assimar________Cleric (normal) / Monk (martial artist)
traits: Noble Born(Orlovsky), (princess or charming), Sacred Touch

Spoiler:
I like you character and he is the first one who is capable of surviving in the wilderness, so that's a plus for you. I like the background but will be reserving judgement if you want to change anythng about it. Have you thought which campaign treat you'd like to take? Thanks for the interest!

DM_Keddah :

Spoiler:
The background is solid except possibly the ambush story which was provided by DM deathlok as a hook for the character. That part I am willing to delete or change to suit the needs of this campaign.

As for a campaign feat -- "Brigand" best fits his background with the fluff rewritten as :

You've worked as a convoy guard in the River Kingdoms or the more lawless reaches of Brevoy. You know how bandits are likely to ambush travelers, bully traders, avoid the law, and camp where no one might find them. Recently, you’ve been paid off after delivering a convoy to Brevoy. Flush with cash, this seems a good opportunity to explore the land around the roads you've been travelling. An expedition into the rugged wilderness seems like a perfect way get to know the land before its character is changed forever by the coming pioneers. You begin the campaign with an extra 100 gp in hardwon wages. You also gain a +1 trait bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, and Sense Motive
checks when dealing with brigands, thieves, bandits, and their ilk.

Mechanical bonuses remain the same as the original trait.

I believe I and Tityanna will bow out of this one in favor of the parallel campaign you're putting together. You seem to have more than a few dedicated arcanists to choose from in her absence.

Good luck, everyone.

Spoiler:

Malaswyn is on a pilgrimage to nowhere. I originally gave him this background as the GM was uncertain on setting.

Kingmaker seems perfect for him. He needs a mission, a purpose, a goal. He will also be modified to take the illuminator trait and be more of a voice-of-the-faith.

I envisage Mala as a cleric eager to see the Stolen Lands claimed in 'the right way' and for a good and noble purpose to shine through such an enterprise.

Sarenrae's creed (redemption, new hope, the cleansing fire) seems ideal for taming a wild land and leading the wayward toward virtue.

Not that Malaswyn is a firebrand, the Dawnflower is gentle until she is ruthless. He will follow an Elven way that sits comfortably with his faith: advise rather than persuade.

Keddah-

Spoiler:

That sounds fine to me me. I was thinking about taking the Master Craftsman feat or something like that to allow me to enchant the weapon. In my head most of his starting equipment is extremely old, possibly with hidden magics that can only be unlocked by someone of the right lineage, or something like that. I wish there was some kind of mechanic in place for slowly scaling enchantments.

Have you seen my possible adaptation of the Lost Nobility trait? Normally it's a bonus against agents of the new regime, but I thought that it could be easily changed to bandits and outlaws instead. What do you think?

DM Keddah:
Rikold has been looking to remarry and traveled with Altel to Restov to meet a possible new wife that he has been corresponding with over the last two years. Thus Altel found himself in Restov. When he saw the decree and found out that there was going to be an expedition to the south, to tame the wild lands there, he felt a pull to go there and create a place of his own there. Something that would last as long as he did that he could grow with over the years. There are too many changes at his homestead, he is starting to lose his connection to his family as they pass on. Perhaps in the Stolen Lands he can make something better?

Further DM info:
Altel does feel a deep connection to Brevoy. It is where he has spent the first hundred years of his life, and he feels connected to the lonely hills, cold winters and hardy people in the core of his being. It could be almost said that he has a near druidic connection.

Leon the Landless:
I like the variant of the Lost Nobility trait it will be very useful in the first book but then will be more of a curiosity

GeraintElberion:
You're welcome to develop Malaswyn and submit him here. Thanks for the interest!

Altel:
Could just tell me when you're done with the background? Every time you add something I have to read it again because I'm really bad with names and can't remember who is who. Thanks!

3 down, 3 to go.

3 Back stories going to the forge.

I am done with my background and answered your previous questions. Thank you for your consideration.

Here is my concept for a ranged ranger. I need to double check o make sure he is in line with characer creaion. I picture him as a rather blunt but honest man who isn't a fan of rich cityfolk, having had to deal with many of their ype in his job as a guide.

Was backstory good enough or do you want more DM?

DM:
Oh had question as I was planning out my char how do you feel about leadership as a feat? to clarify I dont plan on getting the minions aspect unless its just as flavor (he goes out and finds and recruits his orphan friends and trains them to be knights in the new kingdom that pretty much stay in court and guard the ruler when we choose them) the only cohort I aim to take is instead of a npc is the monster cohort ie Pegasus/ Giant Eagle (thus why I can only play in kingmaker as theres actual space for aerial and mounted combat) later on I mioght aim to take gryphon but that would probably be around 3rd book or something even getting to lvl 7 would be in second book so not attainable for a while but wanted to ask you so I knew answer before hand
ty for your consideration and look forward to the game if Im chosen

DM_Keddah:
Glad you like it :) - and yeah he will be very attached to his eagle familiar. I'd plan to have him start the adventure with the eagle still yet injured and recovering, so I can RP out the return to health, first flight, etc.

Should be fun if you like him enough to see him in the party :)

DM Keddah

Spoiler:
Malaswyn is now updated to level 1 and Kingmaker.

He has spent the last twent years as a Rostlander and Sarenrae has (he believes) called him to aid in the taming of the Stolen Lands. He thus has a dual call to serve this endeavour.

He is hardy and decent, finding joy in life and looking for the good in people. He feels the need to become more decisive, following Sarenrae's example, but he must overcome the Elven urge to grant people the freedom to make their own decisions, judgements and mistakes.

Sample has a few holes in it and fixed it.
Working on the next one.

Edit: I also have all day tomorrow, so I can get the character done.
