Don't count the half-squares

Male Human Dedicated Hero 2 (HP 12/12) (AC 14/14/10) (Fort +3, Ref +2, Will +5) (Init +2)

I am leaning towards placing Geoffrey in E23.

Male Aasimar (Raised by Halflings) Barbarian 1 / Lame Oracle of Life 6

Never mind what I said ooc, I should really work out my placing ic. Neither I nor my character is sure where would be best, and I think that was a pretty decent ic post, so I'll go with that.

Is anybody going to act or will Lysa fight this foul man all by herself? *wink*

Male Human Dedicated Hero 2 (HP 12/12) (AC 14/14/10) (Fort +3, Ref +2, Will +5) (Init +2)

I would love to, but whilst they are all still mounted, it will be difficult to stop them from fleeing; I was waiting until they had done so, before posting...

Male Aasimar (Raised by Halflings) Barbarian 1 / Lame Oracle of Life 6

I know ooc of better strategies from watching other games, but I'm trying to play my village-trained character right. Unfortunately, our paladin has been radio-silent for almost a week, and our fighter for almost three (albeit giving permission to dmnpc). We may need to start stepping up and coordinating strategies in ooc that our characters wouldn't know except for our clever justifications. Just think of it as an exercise in character development! ;)

I will send them both e-mails to see if they're coming back, if not I will reopen recruitment.

Updated Map light red circles are bandits, dark red circle is the leader.

Will take control of both of them during the surprise round.

I should have said before but I will do the initiative rolls for everyone, it makes it easier for me to keep track.

Initiative Rolls:

Edmond 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Hathin 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Brennor 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Lysa 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Tudan 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Geoffrey 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Leader 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Bandit 1 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Bandit 2 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Bandit 3 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Bandit 4 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Bandit 5 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Bandit 6 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Initiative Order:

#1 - Geoffrey
#2 - Bandit 4
#3 - Bandit 5
#4 - Bandit 1
#5 - Bandit 2
#6 - Brennor
#7 - Tudan
#8 - Lysa
#9 - Edmond
#10 - Leader
#11 - Hathin
#12 - Bandit 3
#13 - Bandit 6

Geoffrey, remember that to make a Ranged Sneak Attack you have to be at 30' from the target at most. From E23 there's more than 30' to the nearest bandit (bandit 5) so you may want to move closer before attacking.

I like how you're interpreting rolls into events, and I want to be clear. It sounds like my poor perception roll caused Tudan to delay too long during the surprise round, so that he only opened the door and 5' stepped to M12 (somewhere in-between my hope and my fear). Is that right?

Okay, just remembered something and double-checked, and surprise means either a standard or move action, not both (CRB p.178). Got it.

That's it. The same reason Hathin just stood up for example.

Did you get my e-mail? Oh, and you're up, I had taken your action but have deleted it.

Nope no emails, nothing came through on account. Did you send it here :action.ant1@gmail.com?

Tudan moves next to the bandit leader but nerves get the best of him and he fail to coup de grace him.

I stayed in P14 (by my count), since I preferred to use my reach weapon against the leader in P16; please correct me if my count is off.

Also, could I get an update on what squares everyone is in? Just in case I feel the need to use some kind of AoE ability in the near future. ;)

I'm preparing a map/spreadsheet will try to post it soon.

Keddah and all,

Apologies but I am going to have to step out of this campaign. Things are moving a little too slowly for me, and it's fairer on you all if I drop out rather than stringing things along.

Thanks for the original selection, and I wish you all well moving forwards.

Regards,
Mark / Hathin

Awww. :( I can certainly sympathize -- I've already joined another game, to have more to do -- but I'm sorry to see you go. You have an interesting character, and I thought there was a lot of potential for more interesting interaction yet to come.

I understand you Mark, I want to apologize to everybody but I'm having trouble getting the time to post in this game, if you're willing to wait a few weeks I hope it will be solved, anyway, I will put my DMing at the forum on hold for a little while, I've seen there are several Kingmaker recruitments recently open so if you want to try your luck there... I apologize again, damned real life getting always in the way...

Keddah - no hard feelings and I understand the real life aspect. Wish you well in getting past that pesky deterrent and getting back into the DM'ing game.

I will be here, even if I have to learn how to use RSS to keep track.
