I've updated the map to include the circle and the elementals. Where did you want to go exactly? If you're entering the circle, roll initiative.

Seeing the map, Relan would go into the north corner as far west as he can without breaking the circle and watch what the elementals do. [ooc[That is a big circle. I was envisioning 10' diameter. [/ooc]

You will break the circle if you enter the room

Not by the way it looks on the map, but ok. No reason to go that way yet.

I guess I should have said if you cross the room, you breaknthr circle. Dunno why I read your post thinking you were headed to the NW corner.

Relan slips into the northeast corner of the room and the elementals track with him moving to that side of the circle.

Vuloo scowls at the fire elementals. "We may be able to bypass this room by going through either the southern passage in the lone statue room or through the northeastern door."

Male Aasimar Master Summoner / 6

How big are the elementals? Seems like all things magical in here are far weaker, are these guys normal or fairly weak as well?

[Ooc]They are about 3 to 4 feet tall.

Knowing slightly more about the elementals now Relan recommends the group check out the other paths. We know what we must do to pass here. Let us see to the other directions before fighting these creatures.

Relan has no preference.

Male Aasimar Master Summoner / 6

Aidon is good as well, next door it is, Relan leads :)

Male Half-elf Druid 3 Monk 2

Yep, let's move through the next door and come back to the fire room later preferably with a firehose and 100 gallons of water.

M Human Level 10 Fighter (Lore Warden) HP 117/121 AC 27 (30 Expertise) (+15 Perception; +4 Init; Fort +12, Ref +11, Will 7+4 vs fear) +2 vs transmutation and necromancy)

Or a cleric that can create water. Relan smiles at that visual and leads the way to the next door.

Exploring on ...

Map here

Guardroom

This room has the look of an abandoned guardroom. It is unoccupied and the smell of the sea is strong in this room, and salt encrusts the floor in a trail leading from the south door. Another door leads to the east.

The door to the east doesn't open, but isn't trapped. It seems barricaded from the other side.

The Sea Stair

The salty tang of the sea fills the air of this chilly room. Wall carvings showing soldiers marching to war are encrusted with salt, and a descending stair in the center of the room is filled to nearly floor level with sea water. A thin layer of blue energy shimmers across the surface of the water in the stairwell.

The Underwater Observatory

A spiral stair rises from the center of this otherwise empty chamber leading up to a domed chamber some twenty feet above. In that room are three windows looking out west into the murky harbor. Seaweed blocks most of your view, but you note the vague outline of a large shipwreck maybe 60 feet away, visible on the bottom of the harbor.

Hall of Fleshwarping

A line of pillars runs down the center of this hall, between which lie the ruined remains of what was once an immense magical laboratory. Crumbled tables, broken stone urns, rusted cauldrons, and ancient fragments of broken glass lie scattered throughout. The northern wall depicts a vast mural of armies of deformed monsters and demons gathering on the shores of a mountainous island. Above, a woman’s face has been carved into the mountaintop, and an immense bridge arches out from just
below this woman’s face. Below the mountain, at the end of a side view of a tangled network of caverns, lies a vast underground vault in which an immense monstrosity of tentacles surrounds a central fanged mouth; within the mouth glares an angry red eye.

Andel can tell you that the mural on the northern wall depicts the armies of Bakrakhan, Azlanist's territory and the carving represents the Runelord herself.

Knowledge Geography DC20 Check:
The island in the mural is known today as the Hollow Mountain

Knowledge Planes DC30:
The monster that dwells in the caves deep below is a representation of one of Runelord Azlanist's most powerful allies, a nascent demon lord Yamasoth

Male Half-elf Druid 3 Monk 2

"I can create water. Unfortunately, not enough to squelch a fire elemental. There was an interesting pool in one of the other rooms. Maybe it has a water elemental and we can sic them on each?" Fulmen grins ever so slightly.

Guardroom

Fulmen knocks on the door and shouts loud enough to be heard on the other side. "Hello, is there anyone in there?" If no response he'll say to no one in particular "Wonder if the ceiling collapsed.."

The Sea Stair

Have we seen any salt supplies in a storeroom?

The Underwater Observatory

Fulmen makes mental note of the shipwreck in relation to the crow. Identifying landmarks to pinpoint it later if they can find a way to go under water in the future.

Hall of Fleshwarping

"By Gaia, what is that foul thing!"

M Human Level 10 Fighter (Lore Warden) HP 117/121 AC 27 (30 Expertise) (+15 Perception; +4 Init; Fort +12, Ref +11, Will 7+4 vs fear) +2 vs transmutation and necromancy)

Guardroom

Relan wonders With all the water here, I wonder if the other side of the door is flooded. He pauses to listen at the door.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

The Sea Stair

Relan dips his weapon into the water though the barrier, wondering if he will feel any resistance.

The Underwater Observatory

Hmm. I wonder if I could swim out to that ship from the sea stair.

Hall of Fleshwarping

Stepping easy it the runes of the lab the fighter wonders of its past use.

Relan is not trained in Geography and can get a 25 max in planes.

The Sea Stair

Vuloo watches intently as Relan tests the barrier, "Yes, I imagine we could swim to the ship, but I'm not sure it's worth the risk. We should focus on completing our exploration of these dungeons."

Guardroom

Fulmen knocks and Relan listens and hears a slightly disgusting squishing noise followed by a slight moan.

The Sea Stair

Relan's weapon pierces the barrier and comes back up through. He can see the water beading on the blade through the barrier, but as he pulls it out, the weapon is completely dry.

Braelex nods, agreeing with Vuloo's statement.

Guardroom

"Bash it, or move on?"

If it looks like we're going to take down the door, Braelex will drink her mutagen.

Fleshwarping

Braelex grimaces at the gruesome artwork. She hangs back as the others move forward, checking that her crossbow is loaded and cocked.

We can likely open this door in. I hear what might be undead behind it. Something moans. Be ready I will test the door.

Relan removes a crowbar and places it to best advantage. He then tries to pry the door open.

Guardroom

"Moans?" Braelex stifles a grin. "Perhaps they are just sharing intimate relations and only wish for privacy?"

Underwater Observatory

Taking time to search each of the rooms thoroughly, Vuloo finds a secret compartment in one of the "window" sills. He also notes that the window has no glass and there is nothing obviously apparent holding the water back.

In the compartment he finds 2 scrolls of water breathing

Guardroom --> Stink's Redoubt

Relan jams the crowbar in and with a great crack and a tremendous shove forces the door open sending a pile of crates and furniture sprawling out of the way. You find a chamber whose walls have been coated in dried black ichor. Rudimentary lines and smears within the layers of gunk have been added to create crude examples of simplisitic art. Coweringin the corner is a hideous creature, appearing as nothing more than a man-sized lump of molten stinking flesh. It opens it's semblance of a mouth and a string of pathetic noises stream forth.

Infernal:
"No hurt Stink! Leave alone! No hurt!"

No map at work but the room is essentially around 20 x 15 iirc, no other visible exits.

The creature is a lemure, the absolute lowest form of devil. Normally barely sentient and the size of a small child, this one seems much larger and somewhat more self-aware based on the expressiveness on its face and its attempts to communicate
