As the greasy patch spreads along the beam, Braelex squeaks when she starts to slide off. She grapples the beam for dear life, then edges forward carefully.
Crawl forward until clear of the grease, then stand.

Lady's Malice Round 6
The pipe is a squeeze, about 3 feet in diameter. Looking through Relan notes there is a tunnel on the other side where he sees the snake squirm out of Clarence's hands, He's trying to stab it with a dagger, and it's dropped the shard and trying to bite at Clarence to get him to back off of it.
Clarence calls back, "Squirmy bastard might'n get the best of me. Mebbe better if you came n helped, bein' an expert at hand ta hand and all."
Fulmen, having played possum for a while, leaps to the attack catching Natalya off-guard and felling her like a tree with a hard blow to the head. Braelex moves out of the greased area and climbs up to her feet.

Lady's Malice Round 6 continued
Relan slides through the pipe scraping his armor and popping out the other side. With his swordarm constrained, Relan has to resort to thrusting only. He finds Clarence in front of him, but the ranger is ready to swap back. "Don' lettem get this shard, I'm pulling out my crossbow"
The snake darts out, reaching past Clarence and sinking his fangs into Relan's thigh.
Lady's Malice Round 7
Andel joins Fulmen and Braelex in searching and securing Natalya.
Natalya is carrying the following: a scroll (magic), a wand (magic), a smokestick, a tanglefoot bag, a masterwork mithral shortsword, a climber's kit, masterwork thieves' tools, a second-story harness (see below), and a pair of soft-soled lambskin boots (magic)
The wearer can remain in this position without needing to make additional Climb checks, and does not lose her Dexterity bonus to AC as long as she remains anchored. As long as the wearer is anchored in this way, she cannot move and gains a +5 circumstance bonus on Climb checks made to avoid falling whenever she takes damage. The wearer can release herself to start moving again as a move action. A second-story harness costs 55 gp and weighs 3 pounds.

Lady's Malice Round 6
Relan immediately thrusts back at the snake stabbing it in the mouth. A burst of black blood spews out and the snake twists and writhes emitting a scream of pain.
Clarence follows with a bolt but misses wide. The goblinish thing takes one last look at the shard and then turns and slithers away hissing, "You can have it!"
Relan may make an Attack of Opportunity or let the snake go. Either way: END COMBAT!
Clarence, covered in wet excrement, looks down at the shard and pokes it with his toe.
Plan from here?
Clarence vs Cyvis: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Relan
Relan pauses a moment and lets the snake thing slither away into the darkness. Reaching down he picks up the shard and turns it over curiously before tucking it away.
"Ok big guy," he looks back at Clarence, "now how do we get out of here?"
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 7 (just in case)

Clarence hitches up his breeches again, and glances at the pipe, rubbing his hands together. "We squeezed down, should be able to squeeze right back up there, sure as a greased skunk!"
Putting actions to his words, he climbs fairly easily back up the dry sewer pipe. It's only about a 30 degree slope
[ooc]Note this doesn't drive you to want to leave the party, but to take an active leadership role. This overwhelmingly suppresses the charm should the two things conflict[ooc]
Relan
Relan nods and follows Clarence back up the pipe and back into the muck. Noting the battle has died down, his concern for Nat resurfaces. "Nat?" he moves to the ladder going up to check on his friend. Reaching the top he sees Nat bound, looking at Braelex "Is she alright?"
DM Fflash
Fulmen
Fulmen looks over at Relan, "We need help getting Natalya back to the safety of the Pathfinder lodge. Do you have any ideas how to get out of this rotten excuse for a house? Let's look around for a weak point in the wall and see if we can smash through it. Maybe the goblins left some tools we can use to get out? Hey, did anyone get the shard?"
Search the immediate area for rotted or weak points in the walls and roof and tools to get through.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Relan
Relan nods, "Ok, Fulmen, start checking for weakspots while Clarence and I get Nat down off this perch. If you cant find anything we..." Relan trails off and looks apologically at Braelex, "we are going to need to get a little messy and go back the way we came."
Suddenly startled by a thought, "Where the hell is the elf anyway?"
Wasnt there a way up to the roof?

After a couple minutes, Aidon's dog disappears, returning from whence it came. As the two scholars pass through keystone on their way to the stairs in the cleft, they take note of the city about them. Some sort of event is obviously in planning given the increased number of golems being led through the streets to some other part of the city. People in various costumes can be seen sporadically headed in the same direction up the stairs of the cleft. Perhaps some sort of competition or sport at the Serpent's Run?
As you follow the throng of people up the stairs in the Cleft to get through the Capital District and into the Alabaster District, you are rudely shoved aside by two rough-looking Varisian men, casually swinging clubs at anyone in their way, "Out of the way, youse." Before you can respond, a blond woman with a high blond pony tail, decked out in bronze chain and leathers stalks behind them, saying nothing but moving with a purpose. The two ruffians are clearly trying to stay ahead of her and keep a clear path. They quickly put distance between you and them, uncaring to any discomfort they may have caused.
Aidon Jade Davian
Glancing at Tarric "I do not like rude people, just say 'excuse me', how hard is that?" Aidon mutters to himself a bit more and gesturing to himself and then street, "Blonde fuddy-duddy...rude, I was walking here, she could clearly see that, I wasn't taking up more then my fair share of the road...wait was I? No, no I don't think I was...oh dear, maybe I was...should I go apologize?" Aidon looks back out over the crowd looking worried while scanning for the group, "I bet I could catch them if I ran...oh but then I might be the one running people over...then I will get nothing done all day...what to do, what to do." Aidon pauses thoughtfully. "I will send them a note. Yes, a note, that is the classy thing to do...there that is settled!"
Turning back to Tarric, "Do you want to see what all the fuse is about or just move along to the Lodge?"
Tarric Abol
"The Lodge, of course! I hear that they have maps and trail diagrams of the ancient empires there! Think of that Aidon! I could walk the paths that people walked a thousand years ago!" he gushes, grinning from ear to ear.
Aidon Jade Davian
"So when I saw you earlier you looked a little out of sorts, and I see you haven't changed you clothes since I last saw you almost 3 weeks ago, can you tell me why?" Aidon flushes again, "I'm sorry is that rude to ask? Sometimes I just don't think before I speak, I am no good with people. Don't feel like you have to answer, I am sorry if I am being rude..." the last bit is said in a rush
Tarric Abol
For a moment, Tarric looked a bit perplexed, as if the question didn't quite register. "Out of sorts? I don't know...as to changing my clothes, I am on a journey! So I don't have many changes of clothes...and I might have lost some of them...there was a rainstorm, and a bog, and I am pretty sure there was a pack of wolves..."
"Anyways, I really don't mind having only a single set of clothes. I pray to keep my clothes mended, I just have to keep washing them by hand. Irori doesn't want me getting lazy after all. I think the washerwomen like having me visit them too."
Relan
Relan grins at Braelex, "No time for that, but after we deliver the news, new clothes and a hot bath." He brushes some muck off his arm away from Nat. "Of course after that muck, we might wanna find a healer just incase."
Not waiting for the others, Relan starts moving down the path.

Heidmarch Manor
Those with Natalya
Assuming the others follow Relan, the party returns through the streets of the Dockway and head up the stairs to the Capital District. Some sort of event is obviously in planning given the increased number of golems being led through the streets to some other part of the city. People in various costumes can be seen sporadically headed in the same direction up the stairs of the cleft. Perhaps some sort of competition or sport at the Serpent's Run?
Regardless, despite a few odd looks at carrying the unconcious Varisian woman, you return to Heidmarch manor with nary an incident. When you arrive at the manor, however, you pause in a bit of consternation. Standing near the entrance of the door is an 8-foot tall silverback gorilla. It stares at you, and you it.
"Coming in?" It asks.
CONGRATS! For securing Natalya alive and getting back to Heidmarch manor, you've all made level 2! Please input your level up information in the Discussion Tab. Game crunch will change once you rest.

Tarric and Aidon
Losing sight of the ruffians as they talk about them, the two men continue on their way to Heidmarch manor. Heidmarch Manor is located in the Alabaster District of Magnimar, not far from the city’s easternmost gate. The manor grounds are surrounded by a stone wall.
Nearby underneath the manor wall, you see the two thugs from earlier talking to each other and kicking at a rock in the dirt.
You spot the blonde woman hiding in the shadow of a tree at the top of the manor wall. She's crouched down and studying something on the other side in consternation

Aidon stops and concentrates briefly again and resummons Maximus and throws the ball towards the two thugs like he hasn't seen them
If there is a place for Amiculus to do so, he will slip into the shadows himself, if not, he will just continue walking with us.

Relan moves forward with his burden, "We are here to see the Captain, and can you get use some healers? Lorlenn looks a little worse for wear and I wouldnt mind a quick checkup after running through that muck."
Aside to the rest, "Looks like some kind of festival, care to elborate Andel?"

Heidmarch Manor
The creature bares it's teeth and makes a high-pitched huffing noise that sounds incredibly threatening until you realize it's laughing, "You must be some of the new ones, I apologize if I startled you, but I'm a long time companion of the Heidmarchs. I live here actually ... just stepped out for some ..." As Relan steps forward and interrupts, the gorilla stares at him for a moment and then says, "Of course, you have injuries, let me see if I can drum up some help. We'll have time for pleasantries later." He turns and lumbers into the manor, walking on all fours.

"Ah. I see what you are saying." Tarric answers, oblivious to Aidon's subtlety. The large man then proceeds forward, making a beeline for the two men.
"Excuse me! Are you lost? I think the entrance to the Lodge is around the corner, there isn't any real reason for you to be trying to go over the wall. I mean you could just walk up and introduce yourself and ask to be let in. And you certainly can't be trying to break in to the Lodge...that wouldn't make any sense either, its daylight! You would have to be the worst thieves in the world to try and break in during the day!" Tarric prattles as he walks up to the men.

Braelex, Relan, & Fulmen
Gathering everyone together, you start to follow the creature in, but Sheila comes striding around the corner and meets you at the door, "You found her! And she's alive, excellent! Let's bring her inside." She directs a scribe that came with her to escort Lorlenn to another room. Clarence aids the sick elf by half-carrying him.
"Did you recover the item with her as well?" Sheila queries as she steps to the side to let you in.

Tarric & Aidon
One of the thugs steps forward to meet Tarric, "Mind yer own business, pudgy. We're jus' fine. Perhaps ya should move along before ya get somethin' broke." He pokes the end of his cudgel in Tarric's chest.
The blonde woman looks down at the group of you in exasperation and looks to be ready to speak, until something catches her attention on the other side of the wall and she quickly switches her attention, pulling out a small one-handed crossbow and aiming it across a tree limb.
