"What are they saying?"

HP 25/150; Init +0; AC 21, T 10, FF 21; CMD 25; F+132, R+9, W+9; Perc +9

Krojun relays their taunts, word for word.

I updated the map.

I get so excited when there are new posts in this game — you guys are awesome. :)

Pirknok shakes his head, flabbergasted at the creatures and their taunting ways. "But what are they doin' here?" he asks no one in particular. "They aren't helpin' Karzoug try to come back, are they?"

HP 25/150; Init +0; AC 21, T 10, FF 21; CMD 25; F+132, R+9, W+9; Perc +9

"I don't think these things are smart enough to do much of anything useful. They seem to be more like misbehaving children."

Male Gnome Cleric 12 | HP 86/86 | AC 19 | T 11 | FF 19 | CMD 16 | Fort +12 | Ref +7 | Will +17 | Init +4 | Perc +6 | Sense Motive +20

"Well, I guess Pirknok does slobber at times." Ensu says. Perhaps we should ask them what they are doing here?" he suggests. Then asks the question in Sylvan. "What are you doing here, members of the plane of water?'

Linguistics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

HP 25/150; Init +0; AC 21, T 10, FF 21; CMD 25; F+132, R+9, W+9; Perc +9

"Ensu, I think you just implied their members as limp as water..." Krojun mutters in an undertone.

HP 93/93, AC 26/17/26, F +6, R +13 (+3 vs. traps), W +5, Init +9, Per +15 Feral Rogue 12

Thanks, Pirknok!

Jessamy snickers as Krojun's comment as she waits for the creatures to respond, impatiently bouncing on the heels of her feet.

"And what is this place? Can we look around?"

Male Dwarf Barbarian 12 [ HP 62/185* (0 NL) | AC 28 Tch 13 FF N/A (23) | Fort +18* Ref +10* Will +10* | CMD 33* | Init +4 Perc +15 | Effects: rage, 2 negative levels ]

Pirknok nods in agreement with Jess, adding only, "An' what are they doin' here??"

Is anyone actually trying to communicate with them? If you're not interested in doing so there's exits north and south from here.

Male Gnome Cleric 12 | HP 86/86 | AC 19 | T 11 | FF 19 | CMD 16 | Fort +12 | Ref +7 | Will +17 | Init +4 | Perc +6 | Sense Motive +20

I was.

Oh, I missed that.

"We come to play dummy!" one of the mephits mocks. "The fountain is always fun until the mean silver man comes with his nasty spells. He's the worst!"

Male Gnome Cleric 12 | HP 86/86 | AC 19 | T 11 | FF 19 | CMD 16 | Fort +12 | Ref +7 | Will +17 | Init +4 | Perc +6 | Sense Motive +20

Ensu looks at his companions. "The necromancer?" he asks.

"They might be referring to the lich we destroyed..."

"Necrodancer? No, dummy. He's not a necromancer. He's a transmooooooter. He's all shiny and covered in silver."

Male Gnome Cleric 12 | HP 86/86 | AC 19 | T 11 | FF 19 | CMD 16 | Fort +12 | Ref +7 | Will +17 | Init +4 | Perc +6 | Sense Motive +20

"Oh good, I thought we had killed everyone and the rest of the adventure would be boring." Ensu says.

HP 93/93, AC 26/17/26, F +6, R +13 (+3 vs. traps), W +5, Init +9, Per +15 Feral Rogue 12

"Where is he?" Jessamy asks, looking to one of the others to translate it into Watery. "Do you want to try to stop him, so he doesn't mess with the fountain anymore?"

The mephits stop their cavorting long enough to have a quick conspiratorial whispered pow-wow.

"We don't know where he spends most of his time", one finally says. "We don't really leave this room. But, since you offered, we'll let you by without paying us tribute if you promise to find him and beat him up for us. Deal?"

HP 93/93, AC 26/17/26, F +6, R +13 (+3 vs. traps), W +5, Init +9, Per +15 Feral Rogue 12

"Sure, that sounds like a deal!" Jessamy says, happy she was able to heroically diplomatize their way past the possible threat.

The mephits chortle and resume their play, confident they got the better end of the deal.

HP 93/93, AC 26/17/26, F +6, R +13 (+3 vs. traps), W +5, Init +9, Per +15 Feral Rogue 12

"Is there anything else you can tell us about the transmooter before we go get rid of him? Anything that'll help us?"

"Jeeze, these guys really don't know anything..."

"He's a transmoooooter. He likes to turn into stuff and he likes to turn others into stuff, duh. Sometimes that includes turning poor innocent mephits into dust."

HP 93/93, AC 26/17/26, F +6, R +13 (+3 vs. traps), W +5, Init +9, Per +15 Feral Rogue 12

Jessamy shrugged.

"OK, well, we'll go find him."

She moves further into the room and looks around, trusting the mephits aren't going to attack.

How's everybody doing? We've been going for a while. Dorf's still got a few rounds of rage (to be honest, I haven't been tracking them in strict detail, but after we broke the cages he had ~15 left).

You casters doin' okay?

I've got a few spells left in the tank, but they're mostly AoE spells and I don't want to toast anyone by accident.

When you run out, be sure to let us know. :P

Hmm, that's no good... do you have any wands or anything you can do if you run out of those? (Dorf could probably take a few friendly fire hits, but Jess is all delicate and you might make her run out of sneak attacks.)

HP 93/93, AC 26/17/26, F +6, R +13 (+3 vs. traps), W +5, Init +9, Per +15 Feral Rogue 12

Though if they're Reflexy spells, Jess is good at dodging those. Fireball away!

North it is.

Moving north the party travels down a long hallway that eventually exits into a similar room to the last.

A fountain sprays water toward the ceiling, thirty feet above. The water cascades back into a pool in which colorful goldfish swim. The fountain features a nine foot-tall stone statue of a human wizard holding a staff in one hand. The other hand is raised over his head, and it’s from this hand’s palm that the water issues.

There's no mephits in this fountain.

HP 25/150; Init +0; AC 21, T 10, FF 21; CMD 25; F+132, R+9, W+9; Perc +9

Krojun laughs and smashes his axe into the statue. "I think this ought to satisfy our curiosity!"

Round 1: Actions
Standard Action: Throw Telekinetic Punch at statue

Siolad aims a force projectile at the suddenly animate statue.

Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Siolad's burst of force chips a piece off the golem's stony form but Jessamy finds her blade just slides harmlessly off of it.

The golem steps off of its pedestal and slams with its enormous limbs. It follows with a stomp that sends a shock wave of slowing magic through Jessamy and Krojun.

Vs Jessamy: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (7) + 22 = 29
Damage: 2d10 + 9 ⇒ (3, 9) + 9 = 21

Vs Krojun: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (20) + 22 = 42
Damage: 2d10 + 9 ⇒ (9, 4) + 9 = 22
Confirming: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (8) + 22 = 30
Extra Damage: 2d10 + 9 ⇒ (4, 10) + 9 = 23

Both also need to make a DC 17 will save or be slowed as per the spell for 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12 rounds.

The party is up.

Everyone make sure to put a blurb about damage you've taken so I can start healing when I can.

Ensu moves forward some to keep track of his charges (companions) and then activates his deflection Aura.Everyone gets +2 Deflection bonus to AC and CMD.

"My word, I don't think that is our enhancer wizard. Seems golemy to me."

Knowledge Arcana?[/dice: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Weaknesses and special abilities not already witnessed.

I'll try to keep my header updated with current HP.

Ensu recognizes the creature as a stone golem.

In addition to what you've seen stone golems have special interactions with certain spells. Transmute rock to mud spell slows a stone golem (as the slow spell) with no saving throw. Transmute mud to rock heals all of its lost hit points. Stone to flesh spell does not actually change the golem’s structure but negates its damage reduction and immunity to magic for 1 full round.
