I think next time I may have all the monsters act in one block or two at most, it just slows things down too much like this.

i think that's a wise choice.
Ishta Khosiv |
Ah, well, you never know until you try.
DM Fang Dragon |
I've had 2 blocks before that worked OK. Well anyway this encounter is almost over.
DM Fang Dragon |
She's moved to put an out building in between her and you. Effectively she's gone.
Ishta Khosiv |
Ishta has been having bad rolls but, honestly, she was lucky in the roll she needed (the burning hands concentration check). I can't complain.
Ser Armithia-Seendren |
I am actually stomped!
Azarra |
Just attack them. They might burn you and pit your armor, but damage can be healed (to your armor too). My comment wasn't meant to advise not to confront them... just telling you what they can do.
Ser Armithia-Seendren |
I am currently damaged too. We really need to find a wand. I will post after work...

A reminder to all...the door will not shut, as it has decided to not door anymore.
As for fighting the things, I'm down for it if you guys are. Otherwise let's beat feet and check out the prizes behind door #3.
Kardas Rasalas |
Man, the site has been down for me all day. It's been acting up for a week now .. :\
DM Fang Dragon |
Heads up folks I'm flying to Montreal on business tomorrow, returning Wednesday/Thursday. It's not a super long flight (7h 30 or so) but I'm really tired so I may not post till Monday depending on how I feel.
Ser Armithia-Seendren |
Enjoy your trip.

ZUL...that sounds like the bad-guy lady from Ghostbusters, so no? I'm pretty open for pet names, though, so feel free to throw out more options. ;) No Sugarbear, though...that reminds me of the Honey Boo Boo show.
Ishta Khosiv |
When I read 'Zane', I always think of Zayne Carrick. Just saying.
Zane Levallis |
::After looking up Zayne Carrick on the Google::
Hmmmm, well that's not too bad a thing, so I'll allow it. LOL
Ser Armithia-Seendren |
I keep thinking of Raymond E Feist.

Wow, 'superb' perception rolls... Kards, we're relying on you!
Ishta Khosiv |
T_T
Ishta Khosiv |
Sorry to be so annoying, but just in case:
Ishta's Touch of Rage: Morale bonus to attack, damage and will saves.
Azarra's Inspire Courage: Competence bonus to attack and damage; morale bonus vs fear.
So that we all know what stacks and what doesn't. Yeah, I know you all know that, didn't mean to be fatherly or something. JUst that one doesn't always have 100% of his mind on the small details (specially me).
Kardas Rasalas |
AFAIK Spell Combat itself is a full-round action that allows you to cast a spell and, if that spell involves an attack like Touch of Fatigue or Shocking Grasp, make an attack with that spell and then make your normal attacks, all with a -2 penalty to hit. It's why I start with the Concentration check and the assumption that once I opt to cast and use Spell Combat, there's no going back even if the casting fails. Apparently, however, you can make the normal attack first and *then* go for the spell powered one. So when Spell Strike comes into play, the 'free' attack from casting a Touch spell becomes a melee attack with your weapon of choice.
So I think I did it correctly? Except saying that I hit AC13 when I hit AC14 with the Touch of Fatigue sword strike :')
This guide (click me!) explains it in greater detail, but I'm fine with going at it however you want me to. I'd prefer rolling the concentration check first and then resolving the spell powered strike, as it seems the right way to prioritize it with the dice roller system of the forums. My apologies for the longwinded post!

A single orc is owning all of us together, lol.

Guys, I'm attending a Kotei this weekend, so my posting will be a bit scarce. Bare with me.
Kardas Rasalas |
Sorry for my absence. On Black Friday my PC died and a couple of days ago my laptop's adapter died. Only now did I get the replacement power supply delivered. Yeah, great week u_u

Thank you, Azarra! Those are both yours!

@Kardas: New PC! Nice present for Sinterklaas!:P
Kardas Rasalas |
Ha, thank you! And yes, sorta. I'm enjoying this new i5 8400 ;)
DM Fang Dragon |
I've been forgetting inspire in the buffs list, sorry about that!
Ser Armithia-Seendren |
Not easy keeping track of stuff! Doing a great job.
Ser Armithia-Seendren |
Apologies Zane, thought that I used some Lay on Hands, but I don't see a post...

Heads up, I'm flying of on 'holiday' tomorrow with the family for a week. Posting may be a bit slower than usual.
DM Fang Dragon |
I guess it won't come as a huge surprise but unfortunately Malesti has decided to withdraw due to IRL issues. A party of 5 is my preferred party size for PbP so I won't be recruiting at this time. Instead the minions of hell grow weaker...
Ser Armithia-Seendren |
And Leo has gotten larger!
Kardas Rasalas |
Sad to hear, but it makes sense seeing how he had troubles keeping up with things :(
Ser Armithia-Seendren |
Really tempted to take this now...lol.
Zane Levallis |
Ha, that would have come in handy about five minutes ago, in game time!
Awesome, level 3, woot! :)
Zane Levallis |
Level 3 details:
BAB +1
Reflex +1
Feat - Selective Channeling
Skills:
Diplomacy
Heal
Perception
Sense Motive
*Kn History
*Perform Sing
Gains 2nd level spells
Channel increases to 2d6
Ishta Khosiv |
Perform Sing? What are you planning, young dandy? :P
Ishta's 3rd Level:
·Saves:+1 Fort, +1 Ref.
·Skills: +1 Kn (Arcana), +1 Kn (Dungeoneering), +1 Kn (Planes), +1 Perception, +1 Spellcraft, +1 Stealth, +1 UMD.
·Background Skills: +1 Kn (Geography), +1 Kn (History).
·Add the Fearless feature to her Bloodline.
·Feats: Intensified Spell.
·Spells: Detect Secret Doors, Liberating Command
·FCB: +1 HP.
After having spent her time in the library the day before, Ishta finds she has retained some useful info about the area, including some of its history and geography. It also served well to practice her already acquired knowledges.
The adventure at the fort has made her a bit tougher, and helped her improve at some skills useful for every adventurer worth her name. As she's always having a read at her book before going to sleep, she has mastered some new spells and a new technique. Even though she's not going to take profit from it right away, she can foresee future applications.
She is no closer to discerning her origins, sadly, but she can feel the connection with her bloodline getting stronger. Perhaps it's the proximity to the place where it all started, or it can be that she's learning how to utilise this hidden strength. One way or the other, this has bolstered her spirit and given her new energies.

Hopefully, I can post Kardas's level up later today. I'm breaking my head over whether to get a familiar or not and if so, what familiar with what archetype!
I'm totally not overthinking this. Totally not.
Azarra |
I'm still on vacation until the 6th, and leveling up takes a lot longer than just posting an action, so I don't know if I will have a chance to do all of that before I go back home. Is it okay if my character just continues at her current level until I have more time?
Ser Armithia-Seendren |
I shall level him up tonight most likely.
Zane Levallis |
Alrighty folks...I went through and tried to log everything that we looted up on Sohkol Keep. If someone would check behind me, that would be great. Otherwise, that's that!
Now time to return to Phlan as heroes! :)
