Well if you counted mine as an Aid that would put it past the 25.

DM Davy Jones |

AW COME ON!! GIVE IT TO ME DM
Never! I would never compromise my principles as a DM by fudging a roll. I, sir, am a man of integrity.
Drat.
Galean swings across the rope with practiced ease and lands on the other side.
What rope? Did someone make a Climb check I missed?
Well if you counted mine as an Aid that would put it past the 25.
If you do not declare, I cannot apply!
As Yuki and Galean go hopping across the pylons, two tongues zip out of the muck towards them.
Grab (Tongue): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Grab (Tongue): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Yuki escapes but Galean is grabbed by the frog tongue and yanked into quicksand.
Effects of Quicksand: Characters in quicksand must make a DC 10 Swim check every round to simply tread water in place, or a DC 15 Swim check to move 5 feet in whatever direction is desired. If a trapped character fails this check by 5 or more, he sinks below the surface and begins to drown whenever he can no longer hold his breath (see the Swim skill description in Using Skills).
Characters below the surface of quicksand may swim back to the surface with a successful Swim check (DC 15, +1 per consecutive round of being under the surface).
Initiative (Ayre): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Initiative (Yuki): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Initiative (Galean): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Initiative (Nymph): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Initiative (Monster): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Initiative (Monster): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
The frogs, starving, start trying to much on Galean for his berry-sweetened flesh.
Attack (Bite): 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 = 11
Attack (Bite): 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 2 = 20
Damage (Bite): 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Attack (Grab): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Galean, you are grappled.
Go!

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

Galean draws his cutlass and swings at the frog, trying to cut off its tongue.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 3 - 2 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
"Let me go, you overgrown bastard!", he shouts as he swings swiftly at the frog.
Noone eats my berry-sweetened flesh! Unless they're very, very pretty.

Nymph |

Noone eats my berry-sweetened flesh! Unless they're very, very pretty.
Hmmm? (ФwФ)
Would it be a single move or a full round action to hop out to where he is?

Yuki Okano |

"Oh crap, hold on Galean!" Yuki calls out as she quickly arms herself with her bow and fires off a shot at the closest frog.
Longbow + PBS: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
That should get its attention.

Nymph |

Acrobatics: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
So did I fall into the quicksand?

Ayre |

Ayre sends a spear at the frog
1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 - 4 = 191d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 plus 1 bleed

DM Davy Jones |

You do Nymph, you do.
Galean's, Yuki's, and Ayre's attacks hurt the frogs, but they rally from desparate hunger.
One of the frogs tries to sink in the mud and latch hold of Galean but fails.
Attack (Bite): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Pin: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
The one holding Galean pins him underneath its bulk, not wanting to let its prize get away.
Go.

Yuki Okano |

Overconfident from her last shot, Yuki slightly loses her balance when she fires next, but manages to keep her bow. The arrow, however, disappears harmlessly in the bog.
Longbow+PBS: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Dexterity: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Nymph |

Swim: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Hacking and retching after falling into something that is most definitely not water Nymph flails around futilely.

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

Nymph, you rolled a d10 on that last roll. Just saying.
Strength to break free. Oooh, how I want to breaaak free!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
"Ghht uhhghff mheee!", shouts Galean, frog tongue wrapped all around him.
"Get off me!"

Nymph |

On the Acrobatics roll I apparently did...

Nymph |

I can see that now obviously...

Ayre |

So sorry limited connectivity is making me flaky
1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 - 4 = 10 for 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 another spear flies if it his it bleeds 2 per sound now

DM Davy Jones |

Galean successfully escapes from the pin while Ayre's spear misses the frogs.
The frogs look quite a bit more desperate now.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
But they fail to latch on to the wily druid.

Ayre |

1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 - 4 = 13 for 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 plus bleed 1

Yuki Okano |

Longbow + PBS: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Yuki fires another arrow that fails to hit. "Just hang on a little longer!" She calls out encouragingly.

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

"G$+&%@n reptiles! Or was it amphibians... Frogs!", shouts Galean, swinging his cutlass left and right, mostly trying to split the frog that attacked him in half.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

DM Davy Jones |

Galean's cutlass and Yuki's arrow miss the frogs, but Ayre's spear hits one - killing it and leaving Galean with only one frog trying to eat him.
Galean, you owe me a Swim check.

Nymph |

Swim: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Nymph is an excellent swimmer beneath the waves, and possibly in freshwater as well. Gunky sand slush? Not so much...

DM Davy Jones |

The remaining frog is angry now - its food doesn't usually give it this much fight.
It goes back after Galean with a furious battle cry.
Riibbbbiiittt!
Surely if other frogs were present their hearts would swell at this eloquent cri de coeur.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Ayre |

Ayre sends a spark of electricity at the frog
1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 4 = 7 vs touch for 1d3 ⇒ 1 elec

Yuki Okano |

Frustrated with her marksmanship, Yuki breathes more slowly and tries to concentrate, aiming her bow carefully before releasing an arrow at the last frog.
Longbow+PBS: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Nymph |

Swim: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Hacking and coughing Nymph remains where she is.

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

Galean attempts to drag himself out of the sand, considering for a moment casting one of his spells, and then decides to rely on his swimming skills.
Swim: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7, sinking even further inward, he curses his stubbornness with a mouthful full of sand.
Don't worry, I got Monkey Fish prepared, just didn't think I'd need it for swimming checks...

DM Davy Jones |

Don't worry, I got Monkey Fish prepared, just didn't think I'd need it for swimming checks...
The dice are like a cruel mistress, indulgent one moment and indifferent the next. And they know how to keep you crawling back for more. Woe to the roller of dice!
The shock misses the frog, but the arrow successfully lands, killing the stubborn creature and leaving Galean and Nymph merely floundering in the quicksand bog.
My reaction to this fight? Just to be clear, in this scenario you're Mojo.

Yuki Okano |

"Do you guys need help getting out of there? Yuki calls out, before saying to herself, "Man, we should have brought a rope with us."

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

Swim: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 You...
Galean sinks in the sand for a moment, before emerging from the sand with the fury of a god of the storms. (or a teenager with an attitude.) His hands webbed, he makes his way to Nymph, aiding her in leaving the god-forsaken pit of hatred and sandiness.
Spitting out sand, pouring sand out of his ears and shaking his hair until all the sand's come out, he mutters, "I got sand everywhere. And I do mean everywhere. How's you, Nymph?", he says, frowning at life in general.
Looking at the others' facial expressions, his face glows berry-red and he says, "Let's go. We don't have all day.", pretending to ignore the thing that just happened.

Nymph |

"WHAT IS THIS HELL?!?!" Nymph howls once freed from the quagmire.

DM Davy Jones |

I'm assuming you climb out of the swamp and move on?
Time left: 44.5 hours.
As you continue through the swamp you see more of the bogs on either side of the well worn path, and eventually you start to smell a terrible stench that fills the swamp here, a fetid odor of cheap perfume and rotting flesh. Eventually you come to where a huge tree stands in the middle of a clearing in the swamp, draped with some sort of huge tent. Lurid, painted faces cover both the tree trunk and tent, and both are decorated with rotting humanoid body parts and carpets of squirming insects.
Please roll Perception.

Nymph |

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Gotten over her revulsion of nearly drowning in sand Nymph arches a brow at the grizzly scene before them now.

DM Davy Jones |

We really should have skipped moving through the swamp.
You no like-a my swamp? Why, is good swamp?!
Initiative (Ayre): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Initiative (Yuki): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Initiative (Galean): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
Initiative (Nymph): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Initiative (Monster): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Initiative (Monster): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Initiative (Monster): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Three ghouls move out of the tent, dressed in decaying silks and vermin-infested dresses. They begin to approach you.
You've won initiative, new map up!

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

Straddling through the swamp, Galean mumbles something about sand and chafing.
Upon arriving at the grisly scene, he retches twice, before realizing the it's probably not the best pirate behaviour when subjected to gruesome sights, and just turns slightly green.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Upon seeing the ghouls, he looks with a horror on his face, before shaking his head, muttering, "Maaan, are you's guys uglyyyy!", as he looks at Nymph and begins the perhaps weirdest incantation so far, "I'M TIRED OF THIS SANDY SWAAAAMP!" A lonely seagull appears above the ghouls and charges to attack them.
Should appear at I12 next turn.

Nymph |

HP: 15/26
Charge: 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 4 - 1 + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d10 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 3 = 15
Clucking her tongue at what the swamp had thrown at them now Nymph charges the nearest undead before they rush the group.
