Do I need a clear line of sight to cast a spell at someone or use my evil eye hex on one of the tieflings? I ask because Iavdi just put down Obscuring Mist.

Voren: Yes, you need a line of sight to use the Evil Eye on a target. It won't be blocked by an ally, nor by most Darkness spells (because you have darkvision), but something like Obscuring Mist or one of the various Fogs would reduce your line of sight range to 5 feet, the proverbial crowded elevator range.

Okay. Question: Would I have a clear line of sight if I were to stand at I12? I would like to make sure where I do have a clear line of sight.

Voren: I think if you were to go to (K,13), you would have line of sight on cluster Red 12-13-14.
If you go to (H,12), you would have line of sight on the cluster Red 12-13-14, and Red 15-16.

AoO vs 16: But near blind in the fog, he hacked the legs out of the messenger.

lavdi_____
Iavdi notices the tiefling running away, but cannot get to him in order to stop him.
Seeing her strike not take down her target, she swings at that same one again as the enemies surrounding her all strike her armor.
She swung again, but lost her target in the fog…

Jokum of the Breakbones_____
Tentak growls, apparently sick of Jokum's needling, and lunges at the fleeing tiefling as he passes.
He hit, taking a chunk of flesh out.

Voren the Outsider_____
Free Action: 5 foot step to G13
Standard Action: Cast the Slumber hex on tiefling 11. Target is asleep for 4 rounds. Will Save DC 15 negates.
Will save vs DC15: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 Fail. He falls asleep.

Arthas Sword of Ragathiel_____
"Dakota! Bring him down!"

Lisandra Elsinore_____
Assessing the situation, Lisandra decides it best to reinforce her companions rather than engage; lifting her arms upward, she whispers a prayer "La grâce de Sarenra vous guérir."
Selective Channel: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 2) = 6
Crap roll, but Iavdi, Voren, Karthak and Jokum get 6HP, plus an additional 5HP for Jokum via Life Link

Dakota Bloomingdale_____
Throwing caution to the wind for once, Dakota strikes the opponent on her left side, hoping to bring it down as per Arthas' request! (16)
Between Karthak, the badger and Dakota, the tiefling messenger is cut down in several pieces.

Hey, Camris? How are you doing the concealment rolls? Blind Fight allows me to roll twice on miss chances, and I rolled a 40 in that last attack. Dhampirs have darkvision, so it's only 25% for me!

Iavdi hears Arthas saying something, but cannot understand, and swings at #7, presumably the one that's been injured.

Arthas how do you keep your full Str bonus to damage on the shield attack? If you don't have double slice you only add half your str mod to the off hand attack, the same applies to power attack damage, with off hand you only add half of it. That said there might very well be a rule I'm not aware of allowing you to keep doing normal damage or it comes from a different source

Seeing Arthas struggling to hit the tiefling in front of him, Voren decides to help him. Stepping to the side, Voren's eyes continue to glow their bright green color. The tiefling feels drowsy.

Round 4 Actions
Free Action: 5 foot step to H12
Standard Action: Cast the Slumber hex on tiefling 10. Target is asleep for 4 rounds. Will Save DC 15 negates.

@Lisandra and Iavdi

Knowing that Iavdi and Lisandra are having trouble interpreting Arthas's words, Voren speaks.

[spoiler=Celestial and Abyssal]"I'm sorry for not interpreting everything being said! Arthas said that we must clear these ones up and move to the door! Don't let them escape!"

Female Aasimar

Sensing that her allies were holding their own, Lisandra nods at Voren's translation and moves to engage the Tiefling attack Karthak.

Since I think everyone is doing well at the moment, Lisandra will move to H11 and attack Tiefling #3 with her morningstar.

I may have jacked that up. I was thinking it was like when your barbarian has claws, you get two attacks and str applies to both and the bite is a secondary attack aside from the two primary ones. I figured punching would be the same, but I guess logically I have a sword in the other hand. I will have to take a feat to rectify that and thank you for bringing it to my attention.

I also looked up Power Attach and you are right there too.

Thank you for your understanding. There are so many rules and feats in this game it's only inevitable we make mistakes. The important thing is we learn from them. As for the feats you need double slice for normal damage on off hand attack while I'm not sure there's anything for power attack (unless our esteemed GM rules double slice to work on PA too... :P)

Round 5__________

Dakota Bloomingdale_____
Seeing Iavdi in a tough spot and inside the reach of three enemies, Dakota will try and boost her AC:
Aid Another defensively, +4 to Iavdi's AC if successful: Success!
"You go girl!"

Karthak Ironbreaker_____
Letting out a breath of relief as the escaping tiefling falls to Dakota and Tenthak Karthak once again brings his full attention back to the tiefling he's sparring with.
But again he lost his target in the fog.

Jokum of the Breakbones_____
Jokum hacks down Red 15.
"If you're done there, help out Iavdi!" The little badger growls and advances into the fray, snuffling as he begins to hunt tieflings.
Tentak moves to the nearest square from which he can attack 6!
But he missed.

Arthas Sword of Ragathiel_____
Arthas swings Radiance at #10---
but the thiefling is able to evade the holy blade.
Arthas gives #9 a left hook with his cestus---
And hammers him to the ground.
--- and lands it with the aid of the light being shone from the bastard sword.
"Let us mop these ones up and move to the door. We can't allow any to escape."

Lavdi_____

You roll your own concealment miss chance twice if you have blind fight and take the best one. Darkness wont affect you, but the fog still will.
Iavdi hears Arthas saying something, but cannot understand, and swings at #7.
But the tiefling parried.

Voren the Outsider_____
Free Action: 5 foot step to H12
Standard Action: Cast the Slumber hex on tiefling 10. Target is asleep for 4 rounds. Will Save DC 15 negates.
The tiefling falls asleep.
Knowing that Iavdi and Lisandra are having trouble interpreting Arthas's words, Voren speaks.

She hit, wounding him.

Looks to me like Power Attack will work for the off hand if you have Double Slice.

Round 6__________

The Tieflings do nothing this round? Also how long does Darkness last? Is bless still active? Is lingering performance?

Pld7/Grd1 LG, Init +3; HP 95/108 AC 23, t 13, ff 21, Fort +9, Ref +7, Will +8 +2 on saves against insanity or confusion.hard to kill; Immune disease, fear, Senses +6, SM +8 Aura courage (10 ft.)

Using full tactical withdrawal so I don't draw AoO.

The tide of battle was turning, but the stakes were high. If even one of the tieflings escaped the whole fortress would come down on them at once.

Arthas moved to block the doorway and shed light for his companions to see by.

As he moves he tries to take Voren with him.

"If you are badly injured get behind me. I will hold the door while we cut these vermin down. Voren, relay that please."
