ROUND 2
Noisy (-8, -3 Con), Basalte (), Bane (-8), Elenial (grappled, -8), & Fendahl (grappled-8)
--------------------------------------------------------
Hondo Heru (-52) I miss the massive damage 3.5 rules. . .
--------------------------------------------------------
Bizzle (-8, -3 Con)
Being the last fight, I'm a little hesitant to "bot" Basalte's attack, which very likely might end the scenario without giving him or her a little time to post.
Fendahl Silvermane |
I always thought you lose the hp with the con loss. So in your case -8 hp down to 44. Played my last mod with my ranger down 8 con. That hurt for the bbeg fight.
DM Beckett |
That's correct. Your "maximum HP is adjusted and then the Damage is applied. It doesn't "heal" you at all, but actually makes the damage count for more as you have less overall HP to loose. So Noisy's HP is 44/52.
Fendahl Silvermane |
Not wanting to be a glutton for punishment, but I did not see another grapple check and grapple damage for round 2?
Fendahl will use his Samurai resolve to resist the toxic fumes.
fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21
whew. -1 con?
He will then attempt to break free of the clouds and tentacles.
CMB+bard: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 12 + 2 = 34
He moves forward, out of the cloud and breathes in the fresh(er) air.
"WHHHAAAAA. Freedom never smelled so good!"
Bane 342 |
bane should have broke free first round as he couldnt have done anything else. Dies he still get round 2
-Posted with Wayfinder
Elenial Windwalker |
Fortitude: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Elenial tries to break free from the tentacles.
CMB: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Go ahead, like I said, there is a lot going on, and having to retcon a few times has really messed me up. I will however note that you can not trip him. He is flying which I mentioned earlier shortly, but because the ceiling is only 7ft tall, he can't actually fly beyond the ground floor square. It all rests on your shoulders here. No pressure or anything. Not like no one is being slowly poisoned here. Don't rolls Nat 1's. . .
ha ha ha
PS, it's an inside joke I had with my old 3.5 group, whenever I said that, "Don't roll a 1", that is exactly what would tend to happen.
Bane 342 |
wrong monk lol i know i have too many.
Bane will 5ft up and flurry
atk: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
dmg: 1d8 + 16 + 3d6 ⇒ (1) + 16 + (2, 6, 4) = 29
atk dc 16 fort: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
dmg: 1d8 + 13 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 13 + (1) = 22
atk: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
dmg: 1d8 + 13 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 13 + (5) = 22
crit confirm: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
crit damage: 1d8 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14
Basalte |
Back from my holidays! Thanks for bearing with my inability to post. Charges to heal between fights: CLW: 6d8 + 6 ⇒ (7, 1, 4, 6, 3, 4) + 6 = 31
Basalte lets the anger and fury overcome him, and brings down his massive blade upon the shadow lodger.
Repeatedly.
Painfully.
+1 (+3) Keen Furious Adamantine Falchion, Power Attack, Rage, Ka Stone: 1d20 + 21 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 21 + 2 = 382d6 + 27 + 2 ⇒ (1, 6) + 27 + 2 = 36
Iterative: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 13 + 2 = 262d4 + 27 + 2 ⇒ (4, 1) + 27 + 2 = 34
Confirmation, Ruthless trait: 1d20 + 21 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 21 + 2 + 1 = 262d6 + 27 + 2 ⇒ (4, 2) + 27 + 2 = 35

Your lucky, I was just beginning to type up the final post. . .

With their anger and might combined, Bane and Basalte devastate the mage, ripping his flying body from the air to be repeatedly pounded into the hard floor, then sending the dazed and cripple corpse into his own Black Tentacles to be torn apart.
Shortly afterwards, the tentacles disappear and the mustardy green gas dissipates, freeing those that had been bound and giving you a chance to catch your breath and look around a bit more. Among the papers spread throughout the room, one stands out, a letter that seems to be from the secret founder of the Shadow Lodge. Small notations do not identify him or her, though there are indications that it was someone with a history with the Society that was betrayed, cursed terribly, and left for dead by the Pathfinder Society.
Grand Leader,
As you ordered, I ’ve set up operations in Sothis and been able to recruit agents from inside the Pathfinders’ ranks. I haven’t received word from you for many months, and so I have made the decision to strike against the Sothis Pathfinders at the urging of the Spider in Almas. They are weak and it should be easy to drive them out of the city. Great Master, I believe you will approve of my actions when you read this missive; I ’m planning a special vengeance against those whose actions brought about your affliction. Their cursed deaths will send the burning flame of fear rippling through the filthy Pathfinder Society like a lit torch in an oil refinery.
Your loyal agent,
Hondo Heru
Having cleared out the secret Shadow Lodge stronghold right under the Pathfinder Society's nose and saved those agents you where able, Venture-Captain Norden Balentiir and the Pathfinders of the Sothis Lodge greet you as the heroes and champions you are. The Society ensures the remaining cursed items are no longer a danger and safely locks them in the Pathfinder vaults in the Grand Lodge, where security is tighter than in the regional Sothis facility, rolls DM eyes, and safe.
You later receive a special missive, addressed to you personally, thanking you for saving her from the most damning eventuality possible from the retired Pathfinder Uspia Zimordi, once again a priestess of Sarenrae. It seems that the Society was able to speak with other faithful to have her curse removed, returning her to her true self. She expresses deep sorrow and resentment for her actions, and begs your forgiveness and friendship, swearing a sacred vow that should you ever need such services in such a diabolical affliction, she stands ready to aid you. This earns you the Curse Removal Boon.
You also learn that Kaphiri Talarel, the guard that had been your first agent to locate, has been, due to your actions, aid, and testimony, freed and able to return to his duties amongst the guards of Sothis. Many people witnessed his actions, and will never know the full story, but he himself knows what you did for him, and accepts the bitter road he must walk to regain the respect he has lost.

HERE are the Chronicle Sheets. Please let me know if there are any issues.
I would also love to hear your thoughts on how things went. Both in my style of running as well as the scenario itself. If you can, please take the time to let me know what was good, bad, could have been better, etc. . .
Basalte |
Everything appears to be fine on the Cs. Thanks a lot for running this scenario for us, DM Beckett! It's lovely to see cursed items getting some spotlight for a change. As far as your GMing goes, I enjoyed your playstyle thoroughly. Your descriptions are vivid and well-written, and your high posting rate keeps the game very much alive and entertaining. Well done!
Fendahl Silvermane |
GM. I am not seeing one for Fendahl. Had a great time, well run. Only critique, more just for revenge for fireball from the dude, but would have been to allow one more round against flying wizard...but you were right on the eventual ending .
DM Beckett |
Could you explain a bit more what you mean? Are you saying you would have rather had a chance to unleash on him?
DM Beckett |
GM. I am not seeing one for Fendahl.
Has this been fixed? I reuploaded it. And if there is no more, I'll go ahead and mark this as finished as soon as I get word about the Chronicle Sheet.
