BD - fair to say that it's unlikely this'n will get kicked off further?

Am torn - looking back over the game it has beguiled me somewhat again - great characters and the potential for some excellent encounters...

However being realistic I'm pretty stretched as it is and as such might have to chalk this one down to "what might have been"... :S

Aye, potential is definitely there - lord knows what Niklos would end up becoming over the course of his formative years.

Put it in the deep freeze... who knows in a coupla years when you've climbed a bit further up the oilfield chain you'll have underlings to order around and give ye a bit more free time :P

Gang - I started this endeavour with you lot on board... the potential to really engage with the AP is huge as you are all very individually special characters.

So I'm breathing new life into this one... I cannot promise a post every day, but for the foreseeable I'd like to give it another tilt...

Think we've lost Keara folks (did PM ThanosMaximo but heard nowt back) - so we'll continue on as we are at present, but with an eye on recruiting another member as we're pretty melee heavy, so a sorcerer or mage would be useful methinks...

Will have a gander at any recruitment threads recently closed for KM, but if anyone has anyone in mind (who might enjoy a slow moving, Old Margraeve Slav style Kingmaker) then let me know...

Hello everyone!

I'm so sorry I wasn't there when the game reignited :(. As I've already told Black Dow, when the game slowed down I really thought it was the end for it and stopped checking in... It was also a difficult time for me, as I was unemployed (and desperately looking for a job) and had personal problems with my family, so I abandoned pathfinder altogether to focus on solving RL matters.

Fortunatly, now I'm much better and I have time again for playing just a little bit of good old D&D, at least online!

Well, it's good to be back! (and sry again for disappearing...)

Personally, I prefer the "in-speech" method. Makes it easier to read to dialogue, opposed to having to look down at the translation, then up at the text, then down again, etc...

Ah! I'd love for our group to uncover what's really goin' on in this strange village... Mainly because, if something doesn't happen FAST, I'd imagine Anando will soon remind us we got work to do elsewhere, and force us to leave for Oleg’s Trading Post ;).

Cool - will keep with the in-speech approach (even though I reverted with the last post lol. Using languages does make posts more time consuming, but hopefully worth it for you lot in terms of flavour etc.

Heads up folks - I'm heading off this Saturday over to Houston tae spend Thanksgiving with my bro and sis-in-law. We're on a busy schedule so unlikely I'll get much time/interweb access so its highly likely I'll be off the grid until beginning of Dec (am back 1st Dec).

Given the slow on more active games (tis the season) and Meowz's dealing with RL at the mo, I'm going to put the game on its winter break.

Once the holiday season has passed we can revisit and renew.

Hello friends. I hope all are well and have had a good holiday season.

I wish to apologize for my absence and the obvious hole it left in this game. I suffered a major shock in my life around Thanksgiving that has affected my network of family and friends, my emotional health, my career, and long term financial wellbeing.

My job increased in duties to overcome a vital loss in our small ranks just to make it to the new year. While we struggled to meet that milestone, my job may yet still evaporate in the coming months if the board moves to dissolve. Exhaustion and depression had settled over me, to a sense that I knew something was wrong but was unable to stop it.

I have been around long enough on these boards to see people up and disappear, and I always wondered what happened. Well, I am here to report that sometimes life can kick you in the teeth, and take something from you. I loved visiting these boards and not just for the online PbP. Several times a day. Usually first thing in the morning after checking email and last thing at night, looking for that last possible update. Well, a switch had been thrown in me. Something I loved just fell away.

Over Christmas, I did some travel to spend time in desolate places to clear my head. I love the desert and its effect on me. Seeing life growing, however limited, in the harshest of environments is a good inspiration for one looking to renew one's life or get over life's hurdles.

My job still may evaporate and I don't look forward to finding a similar job in this economy, BUT I have turned a corner and have begun to look at this proactively as something to prepare for instead of dread. Maybe even doing some fiction writing, something I always wanted, but a full-time career held me back...we will see.

Through this, my local friends and family have been supportive. In that vein I seek to get back with my wider net of friends I have made over the internet. Chatting with people all over the world in different locales and different (or the same) places in their life has always been an education and comfort. So while not completely over my depression (I have been battling depression to a smaller degree for a number of years now) I am in a better place, so I return to my old haunts. I want to thank those that reached out and others that expressed concern.

This is my first visit to the boards in quite some time, and I image there is a lot that has happened in my absence to go back and read. I suspect I have been dropped or replaced in some cases, and I totally understand and respect that. And again I apologize for the disruption I brought to this game. If the group does still have a place for me, I can begin to resume my postings here as I try to get back up to speed.

In either case I have enjoyed my time here and will read future developments as it has been a fine game.

Meowzebub - as expressed over the electronic mail sending device and what will be a plethora of other threads on here by the time I am done... condolences for the shock over the holidays and if I saw you in person I would offer platonic man-hugs of a comforting nature.

For mine you're always welcome in any of the many many games that we share on here. We're near the start of our journey, but the shades of color within the party would be sorely dimmed if we were to lose Seleste.

As expressed elsewhere, it's just good to have you back. The bull yet awaits your ministrations and Leith is still sharpening his blade (which by now has been stropped to a molecule's thickness).

Welcome back Meowz, truly good to have you back hombre I know in every game I'm lucky enough to have you play in or alongside your sorely missed.

In both my games the groups have been hugely patient with my glacial pace and you always have a spot at my virtual table :)

Guys I've PM'd you all but also wanted to fire something here as a placeholder.

Sadly I'm having to make the decision to retire this game - time commitments in RL are biting hard - as is the realization that my ambition far outweighs the reality lol.

You assembled a great group of characters with a huge amount of potential and graced my game with them - something I'm very appreciative of.

Alas I couldn't develop and run the game in the depth I wanted, so have come to this difficult decision :(

Will post something in the OOC thread and will likely close the game off end of April.

Thanks again and to those of you I already play alongside – see you soon; and to those I don’t – hope we’ll get to roll the virtual dice again.

Understand completely master-chief and while I will be sad to see if go by the wayside; it was fun in character creation and whilst it lasted.

Cheers Mark - agree 100% was very resistant to dropping the game - due to the fun plans, Slavic theme and of course the characters!
