The bear hugging section was named Temple of Erastil, though I find that funny because Berrin was the one the bear was trying to hug, but the tatzylwyrm fight isn't far off ;) Maybe Tatzylwyrms in Heat or Dancing with Wyrms. I wouldn't dream of naming it anything degrading to Verik of course ;P Like Of Clerics and Wyrms, Mating of Cleric and Tatzylwyrm or Verik's Infactuations.

Verik of Abadar |

I believe I'll call it Jogging over Tatzylwyrms
Ah yeah sorry you can't use Jogging-over-Tatzylwyrms, as that is Verik's Fae name when he goes frolicking in the forest... :0

Warden Zander Orlovsky |

I took Jabber to the wardens as that seemed to make more sense as I thought about our entrance back into civilized lands. sorry if I ruined any plans for Jabber's Big Day of Finance. I can still send him your way if things don't work out.
Yeah, as I was writing up my last bit, I had to go back and look, but I don't think we ever received word in game of the doings in Santuary. So I wrote it so we all don't rush immediately to the castle as some had already set off on separate tasks.

Nah it's fine - I just wanted to take him into account and not leave him at the gate, as his development and that of the kobolds could be pretty interesting and entertaining. A little brevity to the storyline I think as opposed to the lizardmen, whom I expect we will have executed in a few days.

Verik of Abadar |

Hehe GREAT -- every time Barcas says something like that I'm wondering if we should have stayed out in the wilderness looking for moon radishes ;)
@Berrin & Akiros -- there's one thing that Verik will bring up in-game at Council the next time we have to discuss leadership issues, but I think it warrants a quick OOC player discussion as well. Verik will bring up that Akiros should take the Marshal position left behind by Corwin, and Berrin should become General of the army/militia.
Verik would have several reasons in mind to do this, but out-of-game I think that might be a better fit for Berrin's Tactician Archetype and Cavalier class, as well as play up the "Hero of Stagfall" aspect to his character. That's not to say that Akiros could not have standing high rank in the army if he takes the field, but Akiros as head of the law enforcement aspects of the realm make more sense, particularly after he had to keep order in the crisis after Corwin's death.
Anyway, just wanted to throw my 2cp in there and Verik will put this up for consideration in-game.

Berrin Myrdal |

Strap in, folks. I've got a storyline for everybody.
Why do I feel worried when I should feel excited? C'mon, at least give us a hint. No only joking ;) Can't wait.
@Verik & Akiros; It was always assumed Berrin would go into the generals seat when Jemini came back, beeing the Hero of Stagfall and all that but that was before Akiros became a PC and got a say in the matter. I haven't really considered any other position for the big guy but I'd like to hear what Akiros thinks.

Akiros Ismort |

@Akiros; The messenger at the ford explained the situation to us, I'd assume that he handed the letter to us at that point but then again 'assumption is the mother of all f@!+ups!'
Why? You reckon we're beeing too hard on Akiros?
No, no not at all. Both your and Taisper's actions are totally warranted. He just tried to kill himself for frick's sake. I more was asking to know how much the gang knows of what's gone on, and also as to how that will affect their reactions to Tandlara (who, remember, is currently comatose in the cot in Akiros' room.)
@Verik & Berrin: Can't say the thought hasn't ever crossed my mind as well. Berrin seems a bit too big of a figure in Sanctuary to be just the Captain of the Guard. Plus he's a Full Founder. So it makes sense to me. That being said, I'm sure Akiros won't be at all thrilled to give up his position as General, especially after all the hard work he's done putting the army into shape and keeping the town in one piece. I don't think there's too many ways that the switch can be made to look like anything other than a demotion to Akiros. Some of the soldiers might not like it either, but that's up to Barcus.
But maybe if the Corwin angle is used, carrying on the torch for his murdered friend and all that? And maybe he could take some of his top men with him? Plus, after the last few weeks, he should be looking pretty good in the Guardsmen's eyes I think. Anyway, just an idea. Guess we'll see how it all works out in council session eh? ; )

Verik of Abadar |

Oh, and also, we had a very large tree branch come down in our back yard last night that ripped all the lines out of our power pole. As such, while we got power back within a few hours, we still have no internets since we have to wait 'til the tree guys can clear everything away so the cable company can get us back up and running. On top of this, I leave for a major trade show (Sweetwater's GearFest - kind of a junior NAMM, sort of) in a couple hours and won't be back until very late Saturday night. As such, I may not be able to post again until Sunday, and if I do, it'll just be short updates.
Just a heads-up.
Well Taisper is going to be out for the weekend, and I would speculate that he assumed that the Castigate + Disarm was going to bring Akiros to his senses. So uhh...I mean is this the deal that Akiros has to be completely rendered to staggered/unconscious for him to regain his senses?

Akiros Ismort |

Well to be honest, that's the way I'm seeing it. He's sick, wounded, and litteraly out of his mind with grief and rage at the moment. He just stabbed 'Sarah' through the heart with his sword, again, and I don't really see him just shaking his head and saying "oh, right, sorry 'bout that, lost my head for a bit. So anyone for tea?"
I'm sensing that the direction this has taken may have upset some folk, and I am truly sorry for that, as that was not my intention in the slightest.
I have always aimed for realism in my PCs, and given all that he's been through and what just happened, his reactions seem pretty realistic to me. But of course YMMV.
Once he's out, we can move on and perhaps forget this nasty little event transpired. I'm sure Akiros will be wanting/needing to do so
EDIT: if everyone would prefer, we could just say that Berrin and Taisper beat him unconscious, which will be pretty easy to do in his current state, and fast forward from there

Performing a Combat Maneuver
When performing a combat maneuver, you must use an action appropriate to the maneuver you are attempting to perform. While many combat maneuvers can be performed as part of an attack action, full-attack action, or attack of opportunity (in place of a melee attack), others require a specific action. Unless otherwise noted, performing a combat maneuver provokes an attack of opportunity from the target of the maneuver. If you are hit by the target, you take the damage normally and apply that amount as a penalty to the attack roll to perform the maneuver. If your target is immobilized, unconscious, or otherwise incapacitated, your maneuver automatically succeeds (treat as if you rolled a natural 20 on the attack roll). If your target is stunned, you receive a +4 bonus on your attack roll to perform a combat maneuver against it.
When you attempt to perform a combat maneuver, make an attack roll and add your CMB in place of your normal attack bonus. Add any bonuses you currently have on attack rolls due to spells, feats, and other effects. These bonuses must be applicable to the weapon or attack used to perform the maneuver. The DC of this maneuver is your target's Combat Maneuver Defense. Combat maneuvers are attack rolls, so you must roll for concealment and take any other penalties that would normally apply to an attack roll.

Hey Khaladon I was looking over you mount 'cause I've been working up Valnyr and I'm wondering how'd it get so powerful? Are we supposed to be basing them of the bestiary stats with the advanced template instead of the druidic list?
btw I think it should have Light Armor Proficiency as well as a bonus feat.

It's certainly possible I did it wrong Sigz. I don't recall at the moment what I based it on, but if you, or anyone, could point out any mistakes I'll happily correct them

DM Barcas |

I probably just suggested it so that Valnyr wouldn't get shredded immediately.

@Jemini; There was no final number for anything regarding the loot, the discussion sort of died down.
Berrin wants the Sash of the War Champion.
Nikolai expressed interest in the Belt of Giant Strength.
Zander expressed interest in the Elven Cloak.
It was suggested that Jemini gets the Ring of Protection +2.
Verik wants nothing.
Taisper wants nothing.
Discuss.

Verik of Abadar |

Jemini; The ring puts you 1154 gp over the top with the 1000 you put into the farm. If no one objects I'm sure it's fine.
Yeah no objections here -- I need to cash to make a few things as time permits in the near future.

Akiros Ismort |

If Jemini doesn't want teh ring and it's up for grabs, Akiros would take it, but he has no problems with their leader being as protected as possible or taking an extra share of the loot. In fact he be very happy for her extra safety.
Otherwise, if the Belt of Str is available, Akiros certainly wouldn't mind that either.
All that said, seeing as he was not in any way a part of the Harpy battle, Akiros would never even think of taking claim to any of that treasure unless it was presented/gifted to him.

Berrin Myrdal |

Meh. This is OOC, you want it, claim it and we'll figure out the IC later.
The way the loot system is supposed to work is that the one who has the most 'credit' has first dibs, so effectually you could claim the ring before Jemini 'cause she took out the 1000 gp. Same with the cloak going to Zander or if you end up contending with Berrin for something later on f.ex.
Even after we sell everything and split the gold Jemini and Zander will still 'owe' and the rest won't get all their due till later loot is gained so effectively Jemini and Zander will get last dibs on future loot till they right their credit balance and the one with the most credit will have first dibs before anyone else.

06/4709 - Control DC 27
Starting Treasury: 5 BP
1. Stability: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (2) + 22 = 24 (Fail, +1 Unrest)
2. Consumption: -2 BP
3. Economy: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (17) + 28 = 45 (Pass, +9 BP)
4. Unrest: Unrest reduced to 0.
You now have 12 BP.
5. Leadership: Jemini to Ruler; Akiros to Marshal; Berrin to General
6. Claim Hexes: H15: -1 BP
7. Buildings: Undecided
8. Hex Improvements: Road, Irrigated Farm (H15): -3 BP
9. Edicts: ---
10. Event: 1d100 ⇒ 48 (No event)
Anyone have a suggestion for what buildings to make? Last month was a bit expensive in terms of expanding up to Olegsgrav, so you only have 8 BP to build at the moment.

Akiros Ismort |

Where do I look so as to translate all of that into something that makes sense to me?
Well, I get most of it, but would like to understand the system better.
And Berrin, and all, that's cool and thanks. But to make things simple Akiros will just take the belt of Str.

Well wait I'd go with a different claimed hex for #6:
6. Claim Hexes: C13 (hex adjacent to Olegsgrav where Stagfall battlesite is)7. Buildings: None (keep as is this turn)
8. Hex Improvements: Road C13, Farms C13: -3 BP
Though that will not even out our consumption (should be 1BP at end of turn), it puts us one month of our goal of claiming D14 and the potential gold mine there. Leaves us 8BP in treasury for next turn and with some luck we'll have enough for the gold mine expansion and that economy boost.

Berrin Myrdal |

I agree with Verik, the gold mine is first on the list, the tower second unless Isaac knows something we don't and ain't telling ;)
Khaladon; The belt has been claimed by Nikolai iirc, with you two on the same credit level you guys either have to roll for it or discuss but note that Verik has craft wonderous item so he can make you said belt for the same cost.
Meowzebub; Noted.
