Vital Statistics/Description:
Standing at 6'1'' and weighing 210Ibs this hulking figure wears his long brown hair tied up from his hazel eyes. Wearing a suit of chainmail and sporting an unadorned heavy steel shield he bristles with weapons.
His gait and manner suggests he know how to use them, although his feature are cresend from frequent smiles and laughter his frown makes men shiver.
Background:
Berrin seemed to have a knack for getting himself into trouble. Maybee it was his easy smile, or maybee his brazen mouth, whatever the reason he always seemed to be in some sort of trouble.
From an early age he always seemed to be yelled at by angry people or fighting with the other boys. He didn't mean any harm, trouble just seemed to deck up wherever he went.
Not having many options when growing up, Berrin opted for joining the Red Stripe, a band of mercenaries, at an early age. Military life never suited him all that well, standing in line and waking up at certain hours just never seemed to work out for him. He did as good as the next man in a fight but the in-betweens often became quite booring wich often led to terms in the brig or on s&%& detail. Sticking with the band for two years he saw and did many things he would rather forgett, in the end he got fed up with it and slipped away in the dark.
Leaving the band didn't bring him better fortunes. Coming away from military life stronger and tougher but non the wiser led to Berrin getting into trouble with the law over some missing teeth and ruffled feathers of preened birds. Falling in with a different crowd was another note in Berrin's string of luck. Gamblers, hustlers and thieves became fast friends of his as he thought he was 'living life to the fullest'. Getting paid his due for miss-honest work, he ran errands, convinced people that paying their debpts was in theyr best interest and worked as a guard at various ale houses and unofficial Calistrade temples.
It was during one such shift that Berrin was urged to disapear. One night he was called from the door by a frantic girl named Melissa. Following her into the house the sounds of pained screaming became loder and louder and with it his step got faster and faster. Coming into the chambers of Alda, the most bautifull girl working the house in Berrins opinion, a girl Berrin had taken a fancy to. Beating her with a whip was a young scrawny bastard of a man. Berrin has trouble remembering what came next, what he remembers is coming to his sences with his finger locked around a dead mans neck, beeing shouted at by the mistress of the house, getting up in a daze, somthing pressed into his hands and then beeing rushed out of the house. Packing up his posessions hurriedly he again left in the dead of night.
Finding his way to Restov Berrin saw a chance for a better life with the Swordloards charter, thus the shame in his heart lifted slightly as he saw hope again.
Personality/Beliefs:
Quick to smile, slow to anger Berrin has an overall positive outlook to life. Jocking and drinking a favorit hobby. Beeing a born and bred in Restov he venerates Pharasma and Gorum, knows Adabar is out for his money but holds Cayden Cailean in the highest regard, reasoning that any god with the good sence never to deny a drink or a fling is all-right in his book.
