DM Aron Marczylo |

the iniative roll was meant to be whilst you arrive so you arrived in the surprise round and Llyra got to attack and now it's everyone's turn, including another one from Llyra.

Curnach Daveck |

Round 1 Action-
You Arkonas scum... Just lining up for the slaughter this week aren't you...
Jerin, did you catch any powerful auras on her?
Delay until after Jerin's action. I have a plan to get her back down to the ground that I may follow through on depending on what Jerin knows.

Curnach Daveck |

1d20 + 25 ⇒ (1) + 25 = 26 Perception to notice what other gear she is carrying
Curnach targeted the rakshasha with a focused dispel magic.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 CL check, compare to the spell or object with highest CL, if its higher its dispelled, if not, compare against the next one down. Repeat until something is hit (that roll covers up to CL 12 so something will be dispelled)...
Spellcraft DC18 to identify.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Krenn, might want to hold that. If the vixen comes falling from the sky from Curnach's dispel magic, you might want to start poking it with the rapier I gave you. Should cut through her DR. I will then start giving you Touch of Luck rerolls next round. Hopefully she will not be able to flee. Also, don't forget you will get your choice of bonuses from the Blessing of Fervor I cast.

Vimanda Arkona AKA DM |

1d20+25 Perception to notice what other gear she is carrying
Curnach targeted the rakshasha with a focused dispel magic.
1d20+9 CL check, compare to the spell or object with highest CL, if its higher its dispelled, if not, compare against the next one down. Repeat until something is hit (that roll covers up to CL 12 so something will be dispelled)...
Spellcraft DC18 to identify.
Curnach's spell disables Virmanda's flight and she floats back down to the ground gracefully. She looks to herself and then leers at Curnach.
"It's a shame I'll have to tear off that handsome face when I eat it." she gives out a canine growlsorry I would've posted earlier bit we were have difficulty with the internet again. Damn you virgin media!

Llyra Bjorgan |

sorry I would've posted earlier bit we were have difficulty with the internet again. Damn you virgin media!
So what you are saying is that despite its name, if you've got virgin, you've been screwed.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Since the spell was dispelled and not expired, wouldn't she fall to the ground and now be possibly prone?
Jerin comes off delay and readies an action to counterspell any spell the Rakshasa tries to cast with Dispel Magic...
Since dispelling a spell effectively ends it, the subject also descends safely in this way if the fly spell is dispelled, but not if it is negated by an antimagic field.
plus is doesn't matter if I roll a 1 as she was only 15ft up, not over 60. But yes she will land back on her feet.

Curnach Daveck |

Llyra do you know how to use the OOC tags? I'd personally appreciate it if you could use them as I must admit it irks me to see OOC in normal font. Not a major issue but its a pet bugbear of mine (perhaps even a Bugbear Barbarian). Yeah just need Krenn's action.
I was actually going to try and force her to the ground using River of Wind which would also knock her prone each round if we could keep her in place, but it allows Spell Resistance so opted for dispel magic.

Krenn Weststone |
Krenn moves forward, rapier leading the way. Hoping it is more effective than in previous encounters, he thrusts at Vimanda.
To hit 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
Damage 1d6 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Possible crit, confirm roll 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Damage 1d6 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Based on the last map I saw, he has too far to go to do a full attack.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Remember, she probably has a very high AC - or at least CMD. I rolled a 27 with my whip and ended up dropping it. So I assume that her CMD is at least 37.
Hmmm, so the fox likes to play hard to hit. Gonna be fun taking her down.
I cast Bless(extended by Blessing of Fervor - duration 18 minutes).
Don't forget you Blessing of Fervor bonuses.
a) Increase its speed by 30 feet;
b) Stand up as a swift action without provoking an attack of opportunity;
c) Make one extra attack as part of a full attack action, using its highest base attack bonus;
d) Gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves; or
e) Cast a single spell of 2nd level or lower as if it were an enlarged, extended, silent, or still spell.

Curnach Daveck |

Thats your action for round 2 as you cast Blessing of Fervor this round. I do like that spell, sadly no feasible uses for it for Curnach right now.
Waiting on round update + Virmanda. And Krenn has one or two additional attacks to roll (iterative and blessing of fervor, if he goes for extra attack)

Llyra Bjorgan |

Yes, my prior post is my Round 2 action, sorry I did not state that.
Up to Krenn, might be better to use the +2 AC/attack if she starts to use that Kurki. I plan on using Touch of Luck on him starting next round unless she does something to get out from between you and Krenn.
Curnach, if necessary, you could use the Blessing to Extend your Produce Flame, and then use either the extra attack or the +2 Attack/AC.

Krenn Weststone |
Thanks. I apologize for being dense, but I just did not see the map posting.
Determined to end the skirmish quickly, Krenn presses the attack hard.
Using Blessing of Fervor for the extra attack with a full attack action.
First strike, posted above.
Second To hit 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Damage 1d6 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Blessing of Fervor To hit 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
Damage 1d6 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Krenn scowls at the less familiar weapon, and considers dropping in favor of his more comfortable choices. But trusting in the enchantments and advise of his companions, he fights on with it.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Just concentrate on hitting her, whether you hit her hard or soft, that blade should cut her like butter. <-- ie - I think skipping the PA for accuracy might be preferable unless Curnach has another of those little lions up his sleeve.
Also, don't forget the blade is +2, I think your damage should be +13 with the PA, and +7 without.

Vimanda Arkona AKA DM |

Krenn comes in, landing a single hit with his first swing, however all the other attacks she manages to dodge out of the way with relative ease and making a show of it.
Round 2
Order:
Jerinthian Kos (was on delay)
Virmanda
Curnach Daveck
Llyra Bjorgan
Krenn Whetstone
Virmanda keeps her Kukri in hand and raises it, focusing on Curnach before unleasing her amazingly fast and dazzleing display of weapon work with her Kukri.
attack #1: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (20) + 21 = 41
crit threat: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (19) + 21 = 40
damage: 2d4 + 10 ⇒ (3, 1) + 10 = 14 + 1d6 ⇒ 4 electric damage
attack #2: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (11) + 21 = 32
damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 + 1d6 ⇒ 3 electric damage
attack #3: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (3) + 21 = 24
attack #4: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19
attack #5: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Virmanda seems to pant a little after putting all her effort into that attack and the majority of her attacks, not harming him as much as she wanted to.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Jerin, would you kindly make way? I'd rather be out of the range of that kukri... Curnach said after being wounded.
Delay until Jerin gives me some room to back up...
whenever I think the term "Would you kindly..." I keep thinking of Bioshock

Krenn Weststone |
Amazed at how quickly the woman evaded his attacks, Krenn slows himself and begins a more measured, deliberate series of attacks.
Using Blessing of Fervor for +2 to attack rolls, AC.
To hit 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26
Damage 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
To hit 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
Damage 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Damage: 1d6+7 : Base 1d6, Strength +5, Enhancement +2.
Armor Class 29, Bless, Blessing of Fervor.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Is Jerin going to act right away to give Curnach some space to move?

Curnach Daveck |

Curnach used Llyra's blessing to increase his agility and tried to avoid the thing's Kukri as he retreated.
+2 AC. Moving three squares to the west, one to the north. Acrobatics to negate AOO (worth a shot)- 1d20 + 3 - 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 - 3 = 6
Now out of melee, Curnach held his most powerful rod and unleashed a spell he had reserved solely for a powerful individual such as this one...
Baleful Polymorph using Persistent Rod- two DC24 fortitude saves to negate (each at a -2 penalty from Jerin's ability) and prevent her from being turned into a 1HD animal (I pick Dog, a puppy). If either of those saves fails, she is turned into a dog and needs two DC24 will saves. If either of these saves fails, she loses her extraordinary, supernatural, and spell-like abilities, loses its ability to cast spells (if she had the ability), and gains the alignment, special abilities, and Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores of its new form in place of its own. She still retains its class and level (or HD), as well as all benefits deriving there from (such as base attack bonus, base save bonuses, and hit points). It retains any class features (other than spellcasting) that aren't extraordinary, supernatural, or spell-like abilities.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28 Caster Level check to beat Spell Resistance

Vimanda Arkona AKA DM |

If this works...
Fort 1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
Fort 2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
Will 1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Virmanda...the once very attractive and sensual looking Rashaka transforms into a Dog and barks in her annoyance. Her gear melds with her transformation, though the items appear to hang loosely and the kukri is discarded on the floor.
Might as well play out of rounds as she has failed both her fort and will save. She can't cast spells, can't use monk abilities, lost DR and lost all her mental abilities.
You cut her down and gather up the two shining Javelins and a magic Kukri.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Llyra looks down at the dead puppy.
Well, that was unexpectedly quick. Calistria has not given me such powers yet, but someday I will.
While the boosts from my first spell will wear off quickly, the Savored Sting's blessing will last another fifteen minutes or so. We should move onward and find Vencarlo before this dark whatever it was gets too him. I imagine that she was lying, but no reason to risk chance.
We grab the javelins and kurki and stick them in the sack along with anything else magic that she has.

DM Aron Marczylo |

well you have 3 options. Head up north to E16 and mess around with the levers and spheres, head west to E17 and hope the next room you arrive at will lead you somewhere or stay in this corridor that at it's next turn will opening up hallways you've been to before.

DM Aron Marczylo |

I made a post where the room is described and the information is given.
The orbs give off a strong Adjuration and you can tell from looking over the aura that is involves teleportation, but to where you have no idea. The same aura seems to be attached to the lever on the west.

DM Aron Marczylo |

only way to get the areas to move is to go to the room with the spheres...or wait for the Darksphinx to turn the areas again and catch up.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Both Curnach and Llyra are unable to find any traps on either of the levers or in the room in general.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Taking your time examining the room there is a sudden shift as a lever is activate and the rooms spin, but you were all in this strang room with the orbs so you are all okey and dicovered a new room with bones strewn across the place and mold. The bones appear to be humanoid at a mere glance and Curnach's sharp eyes notice a hidden alcove that has a hidden lever in the wall, just like the others that rotate the labyrinth.
think I'll post these doctered maps on facebook to see if anyone would find any use for them. Doing the rotations was a pain in the ass.
