you're right, I've just been slow recently watching TV shows and the like. Watching Alcatraz atm then I'll start on Warehouse 13 and try out that Walking Dead Ganit seems to like. Also I just realised I wasted time downloading series 4 of True Blood because I forgot what series I watched last and asked Alex if he had watched 5 yet, who said yes but I now discover it hasn't been made yet :p
Llyra moves to pick up her weapon, opening up a vulnerable point for the Vulture-headed Rashaka to strike with a bite, but fails to harm her. Llyra's whip also fails to trip the Rashaka fighting Curnach, though it looked like he nearly lost his balance.
attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
The Rashaka fighting Curnach unleashes a series of blows at him.

The Vulture-headed Rashaka attempts to cast another spell and manages to get it off, firing a lightning bolt at Krenn.

7d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2, 4, 4, 4, 6) = 28 DC 16 reflex save for half.

Krenn Weststone |
Taking advantage of his stationary opponent, Krenn continues to attack, if for no other reason than to keep it distracted from the others.

Curnach Daveck the Dwarf |

Also I just realised I wasted time downloading series 4 of True Blood because I forgot what series I watched last and asked Alex if he had watched 5 yet, who said yes but I now discover it hasn't been made yet :p
You asked me if I watched season 3. Either that or I misheard you on microphone.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Round 9
If the Rakshasa in front of me is still standing, I will try to trip it again, if not I will try to trip Curnach's, but will lose the flanking bonus.
Trip: 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 12 + 2 + 1 = 25
I just cannot get a 14 or better.

Curnach Daveck the Dwarf |

Curnach and his pet continue their assault-

1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 Fire Damage
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Miss
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27 Anklyo Attack
3d6 + 18 ⇒ (4, 1, 5) + 18 = 28 DC23 fort or dazed for a round

DM Aron Marczylo |

The lizard-headed Rashaka fighting Curnach once again unleashes a series of attacks at the dwarf-looking druid.

7d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3, 3, 3, 1, 3) = 19 DC 16 reflex for half.

Krenn Weststone |
Save vs. spell 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Charred and smoking, muscles twitching from the repeated shocks, Krenn exhibits his extraordinary endurance and fights on despite the injuries.
To hit 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (14) + 19 = 33
Damage 1d6 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
To hit 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15

DM Aron Marczylo |

Odd I swear I rolled it...hmm nvm.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
He's dazed so he didn't get to make any of those attacks.
Krenn's blade thrusts into the creature once, but it manages to only take a minor cut from it.

DM Aron Marczylo |

except he isn't flanking with Krenn, Llyra is :p Have you used your binded item to recall a spell you've cast? I believe that's one of the advantages to bound items.
Jerin stabs at the Rashaka with his dagger but he doesn't manage to bypas it's invisible shield.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Round 10
Order:
Curnach Daveck
Llyra Bjorgan
Rashakas
Krenn Whetstone
Jerinthian Kos
I believe dino goes after it's attack.

Curnach Daveck the Dwarf |

Oh, looks like my Rakshasha is down. When did that happen? Don't see a description.
Curnach moves next to Llyra, rushing the Rakshasha with his flame blade.
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28 VS Touch AC
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 Fire Damage
While his dinosaur also charges the foe, slamming its tail against the Rakshasha brutally before slowly fading away, the magic that summoned it spent.
1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30
3d6 + 18 ⇒ (4, 6, 5) + 18 = 33
DC23 Fort save or dazed.

Krenn Weststone |
Assuming the rashaka's action doesn't take Krenn down or take it out of combat, Krenn will press his attack.

Damage 1d6 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18
To hit 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18

grey X is meant to mean that he's stunned, wasn't happy with any other marker, however the damage from that first attack knocks him out.
Curnach's flame blade knocks the lizard-headed Rashaka out and bleeding out on the floor.
The Ankylosaurus smashes it's mighty tail into the remaining Rashaka, mortally wounding it as it sneers and watches as the creature dissappears back to where it came from, but manages to avoid being stunned.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Llyra attempts to trip the Rashaka, but once again doesn't manage to get a good grip on his leg with the whip.
The remaining Rashaka points to Curnach as it begins chanting and moving it's hands before finally shooting a lightning bolt through him.
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
7d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5, 6, 2, 5, 1) = 30 DC 16 reflex for half.
Krenn then thrusts the blade so hard into the creature that this time you see the blade appear out of it's chest as it's facing Llyra and it then drops to the floor, bleeding out as the area becomes silent apart from the alarm that keeps going, yet no one else has arrived yet.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Llyra looks at her whip for a minute. I think this thing must be broken, never had that much trouble tripping someone with it.
Nothing personal guys, but I think we might want to find a place to rest. I am not sure how many more of the annoying animal headed guys we can take.
Thinking of which, how badly hurt is everyone?
Channel Energy: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 5) = 13
Let me know if you need more and I can channel again.

Curnach Daveck |

My HP is always on my Curnach profile in the brackets. With the channel I am 60/94
Curnach switches back to his normal form for a moment, and replies softly.
Hmm... I would prefer to clear this level of the palace before we push on. I have one potent spell left and I am willing to use it to lead the way... If you have enough left to heal us Llyra, I believe Krenn and I are more than a match for more Rakshasha.
With Flame Blade and Fire Shield (1d6+9 elemental damage whenever Curnach is struck (which is more than they tend to deal to me :P)) I can definitely hold my own against a Rakshasha, perhaps two. I have quite a few powerful spells left and we have the wand of cure moderate if Llyra runs out of channels. I think its safer to push on than try and rest here- we'll stop before we enter the labyrinth though.

Jerin |

Jerin has little direct damage spells left but I do have some battlefield control and mischief spells.
If we encounter any other groups of Rakshasha's wait for me to go, I have one particularly powerful pit spell that will be their doom once they are in and end a battle with them quickly.
He decribes the 5th level spell hungry pit...no SR and if they fall in they should be toast even with their SR.

Curnach Daveck |

It sounds like we can push on. Llyra, can you provide more healing for Krenn and I? If you are spent, I shall make use of the wand.
Jerin, if they make their saves then I can potentially push them in with Hydraulic Pushes or Torrent anyway.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Cast CMW on Krenn - converting Pilfering Hand
CMW - 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (5, 7) + 9 = 21
I also cast Detect Magic and sweep the area for anything good.
Then I search the Rakshasas and the area for good loot.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26 <-- extra +1 for traps

Krenn Weststone |
Thank you Krenn mumbles to Llyra. He returns her rapier to her and recovers his own hastily discarded equipment. He'll stand guard at the door while Curnach and Llyra search. If it looks like they are picking up anything, he'll set the bag of holding on the floor for them to add any items that may be valuable or serve as clues. When they indicate they are ready to go, he'll close up the bag again and stow it, ready to lead the way.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Oops, didn't realize you were so low. Here is another channel for you and Krenn.
Channel Energy: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6, 1) = 18
Krenn should be full. Curnach down slightly. I would take one shot from the wand if you want to get back up to near full. I have one Channel left if we need it.

The walls all glow magical, revealing the nature of this illusion. It's clear with this up you can tell you are still inside the house, but without it the illusions make you think you are on some kind of island out in distant Vudra. There are some deck chairs nearby and the warm, humid temporature also appears to be magical to mirror that distant land.
You notice above you is a balcony where the next floor is.
Besides this area, the kukris on the rashakas and the small statue elephant you don't see anything else magical.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Dump all kukri's and elephant into bag.
I have done, waiting for where you all wish to go next.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Agreed, I know there are several doors off of this room - and one hole where Curnach decided to throw one of the Rakshasas through the wall.
Would be good to see everything we have explored and what is left. At the very least we have a second floor, and probably a dungeon of some sort as that is where I think that Vencarlo is being held.

the hole he made was at a angle and up high on the wall where it fell through and then left the room via a door to the side. This was from the double doors to your SW.

Llyra Bjorgan |

My vote is to work clockwise around the room. Start with the unexplored area to the north. It looks like there are three small doors there. Then take the southeast most door and work around the room.
If we run into many more rakshasas, we might start to have problems.

DM Aron Marczylo |

1d20 ⇒ 5
Curnach listens closely to the door, but he doesn't think he hears anything.

DM Aron Marczylo |

The first door appears to be a storage area filled with all kinds of tools for landscaping, dozens of buckets and five huge casks of water to help keep this 'garden' maintained as it's really just still the inside of the house and constant landscaping is needed.
The other two doors appears to be storerooms where all manner of tools are kept here with firewood, food and other necessities. You don't think there is anything else of interest in her. There are also stacks of barrels piled up in such a way anyone could hide in them if they wished.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Cast Detect Magic on each of the rooms. Don't know if I need to keep posting this, but pretty much every time we enter a new room or finish a battle, this is the first thing I do.
If there is nothing in these three northeast rooms, then we will proceed to the southeast doorway next.
I assume Curnach takes 10 on this one as well.

DM Aron Marczylo |

You don't manage to find anything of interest in either rooms and when checking one of the rooms south you find more items for storage.
You try the double doors to the south and you don't believe you hear anything on the other side, but when you try to open them they appear to be locked. There is another statue of a elephant above the door, similar to the one at the front that's been trumpheting.

I generally assume you use detect magic on every room to make sure you miss nothing as it's generally common sense. Especially after finding out the Arkona's dark and bloody secret.
