Yeah talk all the time you need, I knew you were away as you posted in the KM discussion. I'm stil waiting for Jerin to post his action for this round. Personally I don't find it mentioning that it takes a negative to reflex saves.

Jerin |

Yeah, I thought the penalty to its skill checks and losing its dex to AC also covered it saves, but it really ignores the Dex aspect of saves which is crazy...it should also take the penalty to save IMO but since it doesn't say it....I still used the LB wand charge so my action is done.

Oh that was this round? I thought that was last round...urgh.

DM Aron Marczylo |

ouch, bad luck on the spell there...
Round 5
Order:
Curnach Daveck
Llyra Bjorgan
Rashakas
Krenn Whetstone
Jerinthian Kos
Both Rashakas look pretty beaten and the elephant definantly looks like it's being worn down.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Curnach's dino slams it's tail into the elephant with such force once again, nearly knocking it over, however it manages to maintain it's balance and doesn't appear to have been dazed from the attack.
fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32
Llyra attempts to trip the vulture-headed Rashaka, but doesn't manage to get a good enough grip with the whip to trip Rashaka.
The Rashaka begins to jesture defensively, but doesn't manage to get the spell off and it fizzels.
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
The Lizard, seeing Curnach approch him with the deadly sword takes a swing at him with his kukri, claw and bite.
Kukri 1: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27
damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Kukri 2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Claw: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Bite: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Curnach Daveck the Dwarf |

Curnach's armour and shield protect him from the worst of the Rakshasha's attacks, helped a great deal by Jerin's magical aura. Only a single kukri blow gets past his armour and deals a tiny scratch.
4 damage lol, Aron forget the aura again. Krenn and Jerin are up.

DM Aron Marczylo |

The second trip did not hit him with the 29, especially with the minuses from Jerin's aura?
Sorry, the way it was worded I thought you ment you would aim for the other and only if the first one hit. He is prone now though and doesn't change his action.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Sorry for the confusion. I have 2 attacks [+6 BAB], and can trip 2 people per attack if they are adjacent with the Serpent Lash. In this case, I was not sure whether the first (24) would trip him, so the second attack was directed at him if he was still upright, and at the other one if the one Krenn is beating on had fallen. I was not using Serpent Lash as it is not applicable in this fight unless I want to try to trip the elephant which does not sound like a good idea.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Krenn's attacks don't appear to have wounded the Rashaka as badly as he had done in previous rounds, but he now looks in worse condition that the crocadile-headed on next to Curnach.
Jerin's rays burn into the skin, but doesn't manage to finish the elephant, however it appears severly weakened and stuggling to stand under it's own weight.
Round 6
Order:
Curnach Daveck
Llyra Bjorgan
Rashakas
Krenn Whetstone
Jerinthian Kos

Llyra Bjorgan |

BTW, I believe we should have Bless still going. I cast it on Round 11 of the previous battle and it would have lasted 9 minutes. Unless it took us more than 9 minutes to check one hallway and then come to this room, I would think that it was still in effect.
Also, did the 29 from the trip last round take the one between me and Krenn down? If so, Krenn should have an AoO when it gets back up.
Round 6
Trip-V20: 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 12 + 2 + 1 = 20 +2 flanking, +1 bless
Trip-V20: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 7 + 2 + 1 = 21

Curnach Daveck the Dwarf |

On Aron's map update, the blue circle on the Rakshasha indicates it is prone.
The ankylosaurus continues its assault on the elephant while Curnach duels the second Rakshasha. Unfortunately, the massive dinosaur finally falters, its tail flailing ineffectively against the statue-like skin. Curnach surpasses the Rakshasha's spell resistance and swings his burning blade confidently at the creature, although his ineptitude at melee still shines through.
1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15 Anklyo miss
3d6 + 12 ⇒ (5, 6, 1) + 12 = 24
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 VS Touch AC
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Fire Damage
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 VS Touch AC (miss)
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28 Caster Level VS Spell Resistance

DM Aron Marczylo |

Curnach's mighty dunosaur seems to miss completely this turn but his blade made of fire seems to burn the Rashaka with nothing stopping it, though it manages to avoid getting struck a second time.
Llyra attempts to trip the remaining Rashaka, but doesn't manage to get to.
Still blinded the Elephant takes a new target and once again attacks the Ankylosaurus, but completely misses.
miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 85
1d6 ⇒ 1
attack: 1d20 + 16 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 16 - 2 = 15
The Rashaka between Krenn and Llyra attempts to cast a spell once again and manages to get the spell off as a disc appears in being around the creature before dissappearing.
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
The spell was shield.
The Rashaka burnt by Curnach grits it's teeth and then lashes out with his Kukri in anger at him, however after the one feeble cut the rest of his attacks appear to come nowhere close.
kukri 1: 1d20 + 16 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 16 - 2 = 26
damage: 1d4 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 - 2 = 4
Kukri 2: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 11 - 2 = 16
Claw: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 10 - 2 = 21
Bite: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 10 - 2 = 19
Jerin and Krenn up.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Jerin's Aura of Despair fades out of existance on his turn...
5' shift to R18 then another LB charge.
lightning bolt DC 14 reflex save 5d6
Almost out of Magic....never thought that would happen.
The heck with being out of magic. You just did 7 points of damage with a 5d6 lightning bolt. That is really hard to do.

DM Aron Marczylo |

ouch, that's been a dissappointing round....
Krenn's attacks this time appear to do no damage to the Rashaka at al as both stabs don't manage to bypass it's thick hide.
The elephant takes the blow from the wand, but it appears to have also been uneffected from the power of the lightningbolt.
Round 7
Order:
Curnach Daveck
Llyra Bjorgan
Rashakas
Krenn Whetstone
Jerinthian Kos

Curnach Daveck the Dwarf |

The dinosaur lingers on from the power of Curnach's magic and hits the elephant once more.
1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19
3d6 + 12 ⇒ (2, 3, 1) + 12 = 18
Curnach continues his assault on the Rakshasha, but fail to land a decisive blow.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 VS Touch AC
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Fire Damage
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 VS Touch AC
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 Fire Damage
Average roll of 4... Lovely round...

DM Aron Marczylo |

Curnach's Dino's powerful swing crashes into the elephant where it makes one final trumphet before shrinking down and turning into a small, but easily portable figurine made out of solid Jade.

Llyra Bjorgan |

With the Rakshasa deciding to continue to lie on the ground, Llyra turns and attempts to trip Curnach's foe.
Attack-trip: 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 12 + 1 = 17
Not sure whether I get the flanking since I am opposite Curnach even though attacking with reach.
Attack-trip: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 1 = 12
Great Curnach, now all I am getting is 4s.

DM Aron Marczylo |

The Rashaka attempt to take a slash as Llyra as she goes to pick up her whip, but misses.
AoO 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
The Rashaka then gets up, provoking an attack from both Llyra and Krenn who thrusts his blade at the creature, but once again doesn't manage to peirce it's thick hide.
Krenn's AoO: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (11) + 19 = 30
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
As the Rashaka rises it then lashes out at Llyra, however she manages to evade all attacks.
bite: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
claw 1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
claw 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
The final Rashaka attacks Curnach again, bleeding and getting frustraited that the dwarf before him has not fallen.
kukri 1: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (16) + 16 = 32
kukri 1 crit threat: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34
damage: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (3, 2) + 8 = 13
kukri 2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
claw: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
bite: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Llyra Bjorgan |

AoO - Why is Krenn only +4 on his damage on the AoO? Shouldn't he be +13?
After picking up the whip, Llyra continues to try to put the monster on the ground.
Attack-trip: 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 12 + 2 + 1 = 16 And once again she fails miserably.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Attack-trip: 1d20+12+2+1 And once again she fails miserably.
for some reaosn I read Krenn's as +4, must have mistaken the post for someone else's.
damage: 1d8 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15...I'll use the other roll.

Curnach Daveck the Dwarf |

The next question is why is the rapier suddenly doing 1d8 instead of 1d6? Write this stuff down if you can't remember, I have to say it adds a lot of frustration and makes the game a lot less immersive if we have to correct mistakes every single turn.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Jerin is up, right?
yup, then Krenn afterwards.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Jerin's turn.
Jerin steps down and then throws a tanglefoot bag at the Rashaka fighting Krenn and Llyra with the Vulture head, but doesn't manage to hit it.
ranged tough: 1d20 + 7 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 7 - 4 = 8

Llyra Bjorgan |

Don't know if I will be back later today, so here is my next action.
Move: pick up whip
Standard: Trip Rakshasa fighting Curnach
Trip: 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 12 + 1 = 28 Not sure whether I get the flanking for being behind him, but more than 5' away.

DM Aron Marczylo |

urgh, hate the holidays as I'm unemployed I don't get ot enjoy them lol. Krenn's action.
Krenn continues his attack on the Rashaka with the vulture head, however he seems ot just merely nip the creature on both attacks, but he does manage to draw blood.
attack: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (10) + 19 = 29
damage: 1d6 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16
attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33
crit threat: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
damage: 1d6 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16
Round 8
Order:
Curnach Daveck
Llyra Bjorgan
Rashakas
Krenn Whetstone
Jerinthian Kos

Curnach Daveck the Dwarf |

Curnach finds his stride and swings his flame blade with much more competence.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 VS Touch AC
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 Fire damage, no DR.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 VS Touch AC
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 Fire damage, no DR.
The ankylosaurus takes a step to the east and attacks the Rakshasha stabbing its master, attacking with much more power than before.
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30 (Power attack)
3d6 + 18 ⇒ (1, 3, 2) + 18 = 24 (Fort DC 23 or be dazed)
Looks like a healthy 29 damage after DR :).

DM Aron Marczylo |

Curnach's blade made of fire slices into the Rashaka, burning him and making him cry out just before the Ankylosaurus smacks him with it's tail, but he remains undazed, though that strike did take the wind out of him.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

Llyra Bjorgan |

Round 8
Sorry, not sure what round I posted for above, but I believe that my Round 8 action is posted about 5 posts up. Let me know if you want me to repost. After seeing Curnach and the dino working on their monster, I would prefer to trip the one in front of me so that Krenn gets more attacks and AoOs.
