Curnach Daveck |

Curnach leads the group to the hold.
There are some spiders down there- not particularily dangerous but they may attempt to attack us if we descend. Does anyone have any rope or some means to easily descend? he asks quietly.
DM has told me on MSN the drop is ten feet.

Aventi D´Gaudon |

oh, ok. I have at least the grappling hook & silk rope 50´feet in my inventory. You can see it in my equipment list. We can use one of them so doesn´t matter so much. I can use it to let everyone down and after that unbind it, take and jump after everyone-> should not cause fall damage from that distance with Acrobatic DC 15 [10 ft. drop), when done deliberately. When success, no dmg / when failure, 1d6 non-lethal dmg [Core Rulebook, page 443]
Avanti begin to search his sack and pick up Silk rope. He looks for a while around to see where to bind other head, wait for everyone go down and after that unbind and jump
Acrobatic check 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 6 + 1 = 26
Daaamn, I am rolling

Althon Skyven |

Whoa...missed a lot this morning
"Spiders? Ha. I'll climb down first." says Althon drawing his dagger and taking the rope in his hand. He then begins to slowly slide down the rope, clutching the dagger between his hand and the rope, using it as a burn guard/brake...
Climb 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (16) - 4 = 12
Perception 1d20 ⇒ 11

DM Aron Marczylo |

This is assuming everyone did join Curnach
As you two decend and enter this lair full of webs 4 spiders leer at you and attack. You here scuttling in the distance of a another at the top of the stairs now revealed to you. The spiders you all recognise as native to this city and they are very terroitorial and attack.
Group Initiative:
Curnach Daveck: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Althon Skyven: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Aventi D'Gaudon: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Tapestry: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Krenn Whetstone: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Spiders: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Initiative Order:
Tapestry
Althon Skyven
Krenn Whetstone
Curnach Daveck
Aventi D'Gaudon
So it's the first 3's turn and the creatures. I'll get a map up on maptools if needed.

Krenn Weststone |
Wow! Busy morning!
Round 1 for Krenn
To hit with War Axe 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damage if hits 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Stay back if you can, he whispers harshly. Let me take the brunt of their charge.
I will be away for a couple hours this afternoon. Please feel free to DM PC Krenn if my absence is slowing down the flow!

Round 1 for Krenn
** spoiler omitted **
I will be away for a couple hours this afternoon. Please feel free to DM PC Krenn if my absence is slowing down the flow!
The spider goes splat as it hits the axe. You almost feel sorry for the fact you liquified the poor thing in a single blow.

Curnach Daveck |

If anything is left alive by the time Curnach's turn comes around, he will unleash a bolt of fire at the closest spider. Just an FYI, he has his shield out currently but no melee weapon- this will be his default state.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 VS Touch Ac
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Fire damage
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 Confirmation roll
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Aventi D´Gaudon |

Avanti will move next to nearest spider within 5 ft., which is still alive and use Flurry of Blow. Otherwise, he will make a move action and make standard attack against a spider he can reach. If none of this are possible, he will rather make a move action to front of Curnach/Tapestry after they have casted their spells and "ready action" against opponents who come within reach
Attack = 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Dmg = 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
or FoB
1st Attack FoB = 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
1st Dmg = 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
2nd Attack FoB = 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
2nd Dmg = 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
2nd Attack Critical Confirm: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
2nd Attack Dmg = 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Tapestry |

I have found a secret door inside the ship, I suggest we check it before storming the fishery...
Stopped from her 'frontal assault' Tapestry sighs and grins,
'I understand,' she says with a wink, 'you boys want me all to yourselves...'
A little later, down the rope and attacked by spiders...
What size spiders by the way - like little bugs? Or giant spiders?
Tapestry will step away from any spider next to her 5 ft step, if needed, draw her whip, and take a crack at a spider (an already injured one if there is one which isn't already down):
Attack:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Damage:1d3 ⇒ 3
That's nonlethal damage, and only if the things don't have armour / natural armour... but I'm guessing it's a better option than trying to trip a spider!
Oh, I'm GMT too... although I won't keep up a post-rate like this all the time... mostly I'm a one-a-day type!

DM Aron Marczylo |

Tapestry, Krenn and Althon, you all destroy a single spider each leaving only one in the room with you in front of Tapestry and then attempts to bite you, however it misses and then it gets double teamed by Curnach's flame which horribly burns it's hair and flesh before being finished off by the monk. You see another spider the save size on the bottom of the stairs, ready to attack. You can all assume that this is the last one. They're very common spiders and territorial so if there were any other they would be here by now.
Round 2
Since there's only one left I can safely assume you manage to pound it into smudge like all the others. Now you're all alone in the bowls of the ship. This place is filled with web and you can see small bones of different animals from their last meal.
83xp for the critters.

Aventi D´Gaudon |

Avanti will move in the lair and examine the place, to see if there is anything valuable Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25. After that will continue to the door.
mhm, so it will be us, who are keeping up the XP gained during the play? Will be easier for you in this way then and really understoodable

DM Aron Marczylo |

Corrected exp.
You manage to spot the secret door that Curnach spotted. The door appears to have spent quite a few years unused. If anyone knows of it, no one has ever used it.

Aventi D´Gaudon |

Understood. Will take little bit time but let´s see
Perception(traps) Taking 10, +7 = 17 all together
Perception(listen)1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Avanti will move slowly towards door and look it thoroughly. He will touch carefully to the sides and take his time to check for everything

Nice, double 17.
You don't find any traps and again, it seems no one has been here ever since this ship was last moored, the spiders should be testiment to that. All you hear on the other side is the sound of water splashing against the boat and land.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Hm.. looks safe so far. Nothing seems to be wrong here
Ok people, the door is safe and it seems that there is no one. There seems to be nothing alive, so it´s safe to go
Avanti will then go as first person inside and see what is at another side.
As you open the door you find youself at the lower peir, benieth the area you were just on and down here you see a section of the building with a door leading into it. Nearby you see the Fin and the top of a shark. You don't think it's showing any interest in the group as it just swims lazily in circles.
You guys are still in the boat, but the door leads right to the Peir where the S is so you can make you way to this area.

Aventi D´Gaudon |

so we are now at A11 (ship) and standing in front of the S if I understood right?
Avanti waits that everyone is near the door until stepping out to deck [A12] and walks carefully others behind him or I am going alone in front of others to check first the steps?
Stealth1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Althon Skyven |

I've got a bad feeling about this.Krenn whispers, eyeing the shark. He lets the others lead the way, concerned that any noise his equipment may make may tip their hand.
"What's the matter Krenn? You don't like Sushi?" Jokes Althon, at whisper.
"Hey, Avanti. Maybe tie that rope around your waste before you venture out onto those boards..that way if you fall through we can pull you out quick before our toothy friend there says hello." whispers Althon. Looking down at his bulky armor, he quickly adds "Or maybe I should where the rope"...

Curnach Daveck |

Curnach pauses by the waterside, attempting to attract the shark's attention, and use his natural empathy with wild animals on it.
As it seems indifferent, DC to improve its attitude to Friendly should be 15 plus or minus its Charisma modifier. On a success i'll improve its disposition to Friendly, if I succeed by 5 or more I improve it to Helpful.

1d20-1
The shark swims for a bit still in circles, but sensing the druid it starts to swim towards him, stopping nearby. It remains there and doesn't appear to be taking any violent actions. It remains close to the Druid, almost seeming like it's paying attention to him. It makes it's message clear to the Druid by waiting patiently.
You get the feeling that if it's attitude wasn't improved it would've bitten your hand as soon as you touched the water, but you can sense that it's attitude has changed. They're usually very ill tempered, but you feel as if it was just indifferent.
The type of shark you all see is known as a Jigsaw shark. It has distinctive mottled hide and distinctive jagged markings. It appears to be acting...almost friendly if you could ever believe a shark could act friendly.

Curnach Daveck |

Reaching out his hand into a pouch, Curnach pulls out a Goodberry, packed with enough magical nutrition to keep a man fed for a day. Feeding it to the shark in one hand, the other hand strokes the shark as Curnach soothingly whispers to it in Druidic.
This building to the south, are there any entrances via the water?

Tapestry |

'Hmmm...' Tapestry muses as they wander through dead spiders, webs, and conversations with sharks, '... you boys really know how to show a girl a good time!'
Taking in the set-up of the doors, she suggests,
'Looks to me like this was an old smuggling operation. The folks upstairs mentioned that once these warehouses get abandoned new "owners" often just move in and claim the place. If smugglers were at work here, there's a chance they met the sort of violent end which comes with the work... or scored big enough to retire... meaning that the new owners may well not know about this set-up with the doors...' she shrugs and smiles, adding, '... or that could just be my imagination getting carried away!'
If Aventi is scouting ahead, Tapestry will recast Guidance on him... and on anyone else what cares for a 'hit'... after all, their mission is vengeance, so she thinks the goddess would approve!

Is the shark able to communicate back to him then? From where you are currently you can't see any entrance.

Aventi D´Gaudon |

As Avanti moves silently along the shadows towards door, he feels the blesssing of Calistra falling upon him. He turns around and thanks Tapestry with smile and small nod. Same time he sees Curnach touching water and odd behaviour of shark. He is quite amused but notices how Curnach is gently touching it and making contact. Respecting his power with nature, after all druids are using walking different path to reach the balance with nature unlike him who is training his body and nature to be in harmony, he gives short nod to him and continues forward.
When in front of door, he slowly examines the door for any traps, Perception(trapfinding)1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 1 = 27(/w Guidance) and listens for any voices, which might come from the other side of door, Perception(listen)1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 1 = 16 (/w Guidance).
1) If he doesn´t find traps and hear voices from the room, he will attemp to open the door slowly
2) However, if he notices or hear anything, Avanti will back-up and inform others.

Forgot to point out, but Guidance is uses up after it's first usage so you would use it for trap finding and then be unable to for listening to the door or vice versa.
You don't notice any traps and hear anything inside and as you open the door slowly you are greeted with a loud growl and a crossbow bolt landing in the wall near where you were opening the door.
"Who goes there?! Yargin? Giggles? Who's there and how the hell did you get down here?" shouts the man and you hear him loading another crossbow shot.
You recognise the voice very well. It's crackled and aged however you recognise it far too well. The man who is shouting at you is Gaedren Lamm.

Aventi D´Gaudon |

He is there! Right in front of me... Aventi thinks and then burst to fast movement. Aventi will make 10 ft movement back and speak to others Should reach others with normal speaking voice or he will otherwise shout, DM call ( I don´t want to cause alot of noise to attract unwanted attention Lamm is there and alone! Fast before he escapes! Tapestry, can you cast on me Guidance and Shield of faith?
After Tapestry has casted, Avanti will use double movement to get inside I assume the door is enough open to run and open

Speaking is a free action and they're not too far away to speak with a average volume. You didn't see much of the room, but all you can assume is that the door you were about to enter from is possibly his only exit.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Assuming you are all going to go into round actions now.
Round 1
Group Initiative:
Curnach Daveck: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Althon Skyven: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Aventi D'Gaudon: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Gaedren Lamm looks out the window, looking at you all and reacts in horror and anger, bellowing loudly with a face going very red too. You see him loading his crossbow and moving away from the window with speed.
Order:
Gaedren Lamm (just had his action)
Tapestry
Aventi D'Gaudon
Althon Skyven
Curnach Daveck
Krenn Whetstone
???

Aventi D´Gaudon |

Is it possible to have map and our locations? Also how far am I from him?
Avanti will make a move action and try to get next to Lamm. After that he will perform attack (standard action), if possible.
Otherwise, he will make movement and fight defensively
1st Action =
Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
or
2nd Action =
Defensively 1 round - AC from 18 to 20 (/w Shield of Faith). Otherwise from 16 to 18
Edit: Off to sleep now. Will be back in 9h. NPC me guys as you need for best! I still got my Stunning Fist left if needed

Tapestry |

Bustling into the room first, Tapestry calls out,
'Father, wait!' as she casts Charm Person on Lamm, simultaneously holding up a hand to indicate that the others shouldn't attack... at least until they see if the spell works or not...
Not much chance of the guy failing the save if he's getting blasted, but this was her plan from the start, so may as well give it a shot... Tapestry's out for revenge, not just a quick kill, after all...

Aventi D´Gaudon |

hmm.. that´s true, but all of us got different reasons against Lamm. I suppose, that it´s okey for us, but I will then first see that he is really under your charm :)
1) As Avanti sees Tapestry intention and her casting Charm Person spells, he halts all his attacks and will see what happens. If Tapestry is successful, he will then make sure everything will be alright and move with Krenn and with anyone else who is maybe coming with them? to rescue his nephew.
2)If Tapestry fails herCharm Person Avanti will move closer, attack normally and uses also [Stunning Fist]
Attack1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 + 1 = 13 [Stunning Fist DC 14 vs Fort] (/w Guidance)
Damage1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
if already used the Guidance, just -1 to attack then...

Gaedren Lamm AKA DM |

Not quite made the map with maptools yet, but this is basically the area. The bottom left is a room you havn't investigated, but I'm not going to bother covering it up as this battle seems like it won't last very long.
Will save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
He shrugs off the spell as if it were nothing and leers at Tapesty at the others.
"So, my little lamms have returned to kill me? You ungrateful little bastards, I should've fed you to Gobblegut when your snot-nosed little faces arrived into my hands like so many of the kids have recently." seeing the dwarf he doesn't recognise him and then curses loudly "You're here for the dwarf child aren't you?! I knew I should've throw him to Gobblegut when I had the chance!"
[ooc]He'll be all the way to the left, not far from the window as that's where he was. The big area of water you see now in the centre of the room you see his pet Crocadile just keeping his eyes on everyone. He doesn't appear to be paying much attention to you all.

Althon Skyven |

"Gobblegut should make a nice pair a boots...and your wrinkled old hide will make a fine belt to match Lamm!" curses Alton as moves menacingly towards Lamm, sword and shield in hand.
Intimidate (to demoralize Lamm) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
DC of this check is equal to 10 + the target’s Hit Dice + the target’s Wisdom modifier. If he fails he becomes shaken

Krenn Weststone |
That is right, I'm here for the dwarven lad. Where is he?
Krenn's eyes shift from Tapestry to the croc. A little uncertain why she called a halt to combat, but willing to extend some trust since they've gotten him this far...
His shield and axe are ready, and he is angling for an open attack route to the croc.

Gaedren Lamm AKA DM |

The willsave succeeded. I'm sure Tapestry would point out her spell failed.
He grins darkly at the dwarf.
"He's cleaning the floor. Kill your companions and I'll hand him over to you. Same goes for you my little exotice treat." he looks over at Tapestry "Kill them and I will hire you back if you of course come back to my room and remember your place."
He appears visably shaken by Althon and even more pale than before. The flame from Curnach's attack hurts him badly and he gasps at the burnt mark on his chest.
Is that all Krenn does this round? Plus to attack the croc you would have to jump down there to take it on head on. For the moment it isn't too interested.

Tapestry |

"So, my little lamms have returned to kill me?...
'Kill you, father?' Tapestry asks, arching an eyebrow, 'Surely time has almost done that deed without our help... I'm sure death (especially a quick one) would be a pleasant relief for you right now...'
"Kill them and I will hire you back if you of course come back to my room and remember your place."
'Oh father,' she smiles at him, with all the sweetness of a predatory cat, 'I'd love nothing more than to join you in private to renew our relationship... but killing these gentlemen would be so terribly rude... not to mention bad for business...'
Stepping to within fifteen feet of the man she called father, Tapestry lashes out with her whip...
Attempt to disarm, with Guidance (still got one running I think) and Weapon Finesse:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

He gets to go before you in Round actions, was waiting to see if that was all Krenn was going to do. Croc does nothing so now it's the new Round.
Round 2
Not bothering to listen to anyone, Lamm aims his hand crossbow at the croc, firing at it and the arrow manages to just hit Gobblegut, making him angry and start to thrash about angrily looking for anyone close enough to attack
Order:
Gaedren Lamm (just had his action)
Tapestry
Aventi D'Gaudon
Althon Skyven
Curnach Daveck
Krenn Whetstone
Gobblegut
Since you took the action, the whip succeeds and slaps the handcrossbow out of his hand, landing into the water and he curses out loud leering at her, truely pissed off.
"I run this operation, me! No stupid little, half-breed woman is going to take my business away." he defensivly holds onto his keys hanging from his waist.

Aventi D´Gaudon |

Avanti will take 5 ft step next to Lamm (placing Lamm between him and crocodile, if possible) and use Flurry of Blow (full-action), Stunning Fist in first strike
