I'll hold off on any crafting orders for now. I'm getting a bit tired of always running around with an empty purse. So if the alchemical items and potions are covered by the party funds, Casimir is good to go.
For the record, I'd like to restock the following items:
1 x potion of Protection from Evil and/or Shield of Faith
1 x Fuse Grenade
1 x Antitoxin

New house rule- The 10% Magic Item Rule-
When looking for magical items for sale, if the cost of a given item is less than 10% of the cities base value (590GP at the moment), a roll is not required to find one.
Just seems silly to see people rolling for 50-300GP potions
An advance note as well that may be of interest- i've been planning for a long time to house-rule vital strike into a basic rule for anyone with class levels- so when you hit BAB+6 add it to your sheets as a bonus feat. Same goes for the Improved andGreater versions when/if you qualify.

How much crafting time does Ilya have left this month? I know Casimir is too skint to afford much else anyway.
If he crafts all of my stuff I have requested I think it will take up the rest of the month since the last week is taken up for Kingdom stuff. Not saying that mine is first, just the length of time it will take. I assume that Fenna will want a buff item and it sounded like Tanner and Kalev wanted one as well so I would expect us to be about mid-next month before we hit the road. Assuming we make it that far before anything happens.

Ok, hes happy to be Mr. Craftey but i'm pretty sure he wants to make himself some stuff too. The earlier Kalev and Fenna can confirm either way if they want/need anything crafted the better.
Just FYI everyone, I don't believe Fenna can make anything +2 until 6th level anyway.
So I am all ready to update when the time comes- where are you planning to explore next?

I'm not sure, but doesn't it just bump the DC up by 5 for missing a requirement?
I'll be after a +2 headband of alluring charisma(2,000gp), a cloak of resistance, either +1 or +2 depending on whether CL requirements can be bypassed with the DC increase (500gp or 2,000gp), and I'd also like Malthir's help in making a +1 buckler (500gp+55gp=555gp).
If there's time left over I'll also upgrade the breastplate to +1, but that can wait.
I think our next priority should be to find the missing boy, and after that to track down the Worgs.

For most stuff, yup theres just a +5 DC. For weapon and armour enhancement theres a special rule-
"Caster Level for Weapons: The caster level of a weapon with a special ability is given in the item description. For an item with only an enhancement bonus and no other abilities, the caster level is three times the enhancement bonus. If an item has both an enhancement bonus and a special ability, the higher of the two caster level requirements must be met."
Basically, you need to be three times the level of the enhancement you want to apply- so 6th level in the case of +2.
Edit: Not actually the quote I was after. here it is-
"Creating Magic Armor: Creating magic armor has a special prerequisite: The creator's caster level must be at least three times the enhancement bonus of the armor. If an item has both an enhancement bonus and a special ability, the higher of the two caster level requirements must be met. Magic armor or a magic shield must have at least a +1 enhancement bonus to have any armor or shield special abilities."
"Creating a magic weapon has a special prerequisite: The creator's caster level must be at least three times the enhancement bonus of the weapon. If an item has both an enhancement bonus and a special ability, the higher of the two caster level requirements must be met. A magic weapon must have at least a +1 enhancement bonus to have any melee or ranged special weapon abilities."

I'd also like Malthir's help in making a +1 buckler (500gp+55gp=555gp).
I have a MW buckler that you can have. I doubt I'll ever use it again.
Edit: Never mind - you need a small sized one, of course.
Also, I've changed my mind and would like to spend 1,000 gp to have Fenna bump my mithril breastplate up to +1 i possible.

Remember crafting for arms/armor is also 1/2 the base price for materials. Getting +1 armor has a market price of 1000gp so you will only need to spend 500gp to get it to +1.
I think that with all of the crafting Ilya will do that you will have plenty of time to add +1's to arms/armor items. It only takes Fenna one day per item. So even if you do my shield, Fenna's shield, Fenna's armor, Cas' armor we are still only looking at 4 days. It's going to take that just for one of our stat buff items. As mentioned in the main thread, we seem to have no clues on the missing boy. I would almost rather explore the hex east of us and track down the wolf. The trolls will probably strike again soon though if we don't do something about them. I have to admit, I wouldlike to be a little more powerful though before tackling them...but we will see.
EDIT: Fenna I noticed you took shield other, each of us may want to buy a platinum ring as part of a matched set so you can use the spell on any of us. Malthir will pay for a ring out of his pocket, it is 25gp.

Considering how you often end up out of reach of healing, I figured it would be useful. I was going to get the rings myself, but if you each want to buy your own ring, that's fine too.
Kalev Lehola
Sorry, have been doing three new year's concerts over the weekend, so no time/energy to post before now.
About crafting, I'd like to be signed up for a Belt of Strength +2.
About platinum rings...why not make them our signet rings, a kind og badge of office, if you will?
Fenna Thistleswade
Fenna you appear to have two too many second level spells? Free cure + bonus spell + two known at this level, where are the other two from?
Levitate and minor image are the 5th level boon from the haunted curse.
Ilya Shukhov
Hey, everyone! Thanks to the magic of antibiotics, I'm back on my feet!
Ilya would like to craft for himself some slippers of spider climbing and a headband of vast intellect +2. I have subtracted the costs from my equipment list, Alexander, but let me know if Ilya has enough time to craft them in the first place. I don't think there is anything he wanted to purchase in-town.
Malthir Al Dagon

Alex, take it away for any events that occur during this period. Also we need to decide what to do with the wolfman...maybe we should try and finish a library to help with a cure next month?

Some minor house rules stolen from Nethys-
The number of cities a kingdom can support is based off its size. A kingdom may have one city for every 5 size (min. 1). A kingdom of size 9 or less may only support one city. A kingdom of size 10-14 may have two cities. A kingdom of size 15-19 may have three cities, and so on.
A city may only build additional districts if the structure desired to be built within it does not fit in the current district. Future structures which do fit (even if a second district is more open) mus still be built within the first.
Example: The city Caerleon has one district that is nearly full, only three squares remaining in a corner. The players wish to build a Cathedral. A new district may be added to Caerleon to support this. If, on the following turn, a Shop is to be built, it must be built in the first district as there is still room.
HOME CITIES
Any PC may designate a single city as their home city. Within the home city, a PC is treated gains the benefit of a certain lifestyle for free (see Cost of Living in the Core Rulebook). For kingdoms of size 1-20, the PC gets the Average lifestyle. For kingdoms of size 21-80, the PC gets the Wealthy lifestyle. For kingdoms of size 81+, the PC gets the Extravagant lifestyle. PCs outside of their home city but in a city still within the kingdom continue to get a free lifestyle, but at one less step compared to what they get in their home city (Poor for 1-20, Average for 21-80, Wealthy for 81+).
Malthir Al Dagon
Alex, one quick clarification, we had already started building our 3rd city before we knew of these rules, as long as we get to size 15 ASAP can we still progress with the city as intended? If we do 2 hexes turn 26 & and 1 in 27 when the city is finished we will have our 15 hexes. We currently have 12 claimed hexes I believe at the end of turn 25.

I'd been looking for an appropiate time and event to give Ilya a custom trait like the other Guardians. *drum roll*...
Silver Tongued Orator-
Having bested the master orator Grigori in front of the people of Kardas, Ilya has gained renown as a masterful speaker, and it has started to manifest itself in both magical and mundane ways. When gathering information from the citizens of Kardas or attempting to sway their attitude, Ilya gains a +2 circumstance bonus to his diplomacy roll from his enhanced reputation. In addition, any spell he casts with the Charm subtype has its DC raised by 1.

As most of you know, I've been battling cancer for the past many months. But it seems I've rolled very well on my Fort saves. My latest PET/CT scan shows that I'm now completely clear of cancer.
Happy day.

Casmir! I'm very glad to hear your good news as well!
Greetings all I'm back with more time so I'm getting involved in PBPs some more. I'll try and get caught up on all of your adventures since Edric's passing.
Alexander, I'm going to be starting a PFS PBP soon and the first invites got to people who have GMed in the past. Most likely it will be teir 1-2, are you interested? Once I've heard back from all my GM's I'll open it up to people who have played with me.
DM Alexander Kilcoyne
Well, a monument to Sir Edric the Valiant has been erected :).
If your confident you have the time to post again i'd be happy to have you back in the game as the group will be seeking a new Magister... I'll have to pass on joining another game for now though, I think my girlfriend would smash my laptop...
Alexander Kilcoyne

Thanks for the kind words.
Its not a general recruitment call, but I feel I owe Evan (player of Sir Edric) a chance to rejoin if he is able- he only dropped from the game due to his work firewalling Paizo so if circumstances have changed hes welcome back to the game as far as we're concerned*.
*We're refers to me and JaceDK as far as I know, haven't heard from the others on this.

I know it wasn't an actual recruitment... but you can't blame a guy for trying! :)
I guess I'm going to have to intensify my efforts... I wonder if bribery would work? AK did mention a paypal account he had for such use... ;)

To clear the green stinking cloud template on your MapTool map you can hit Ctrl+Z to clear the last drawing (which the cloud seems to be the only drawing) or you can hit Ctrl+Shift+D to clear all drawings. This will not affect the tokens or their "states" of dead/prone/etc.
Lord oKOyA
|
Hmmmmm.... the clear all drawings should have worked... you can also access it through the Edit drop down. When you used the short-cut keys did the confirmation box appear? It should appear even if no drawings are present. Or did it just fail to remove the cloud template? I am assuming you used the template tool to create the cloud yes?
Which version of MapTool are you running? (Not that that will be the problem, but you never know.)
EDIT: I have used templates, saved and closed MapTool many times and then cleared them before.... I'm curious as to what has made your drawing more permanent. :)
Sir Edric Orlavsky
Thanks for the invite but I'm going to have to pass for right now. I just found out were I left off and it looks like I have a lot of reading left to do. Plus with me starting up my own Pbp I don't want to stretch myself to thin. Thanks again though, I'll keep plugging away at the back log of post and maybe someday I'll jump back in.

Yup the confirmation box appeared. I didn't use a template or a radius, I had to draw the stinking cloud manually as the radius didnt match up to the squares on the background image I was using (this is one of the reasons I tend to usually draw my own maps rather than use Paizos...). I probably drew it onto either the object or background layer so that tokens would stay on top.
If I had used a template radius it would have cleared it, I can see that.
Fair enough Edric, yeah we're still burning through at a nice pace and we're a little over halfway through book 2 i'd say.

Ok. After some further testing... and assuming that you used the drawing tools within MapTool to draw the cloud...
Select Drawing Tools, then select the eraser in the tool bar that appears. Back in the top bar select either draw a square or draw an oval for simplicity and then click and drag an area over the cloud. If it doesn't erase the cloud the first time, select a different layer in the drawing tools box that appeared and repeat the click and drag on each layer. The cloud will be on one of those layers and the eraser should work once you are on the right layer.
As for matching up MapTool's grid to your Paizo map's grid, turn the grid on under View, then hit Ctrl+Shift+A to turn on the grid adjustment tool. Use the mouse wheel and the left mouse button (or directly via the box that opens) to resize and align the MapTool grid to match the Paizo map's grid. You may be unable to get the grid to match up exactly perfectly over a whole large map, but you should be able to get really close. Smaller maps should be no problem.
Hope this helps....
Cheers

Eureka! Many thanks, next map update will have less ugly greenness.
As for lining up the grid, I know how to do it but the map was pretty large and it was painful... I was happier just not snapping the tokens to grid*.
*Until some pesky wizard insisted I draw radiuses ;)
