Here he is for inspection. His equipment equals 6,000 gold pieces, not counting what he gets from Yelena. She will contribute the following equipment to Ilya:

bracers of armor +1, amulet of natural armor +1, wand of burning hands (CL2, 9 charges), spellbook (identify, mage armor, reduce person, silent image, and unseen servant)

Potions - resistance (3), cure light wounds (5), enlarge person (3), jump (3), mage armor (3).

Sovereign Court

Hmmm... Think we misunderstood each other at some point. If he was going to have Yelena's equipment I didn't want him having wealth by level you see (as Yelena's share of the booty was going to go to your new character anyway). Two options-

1. Kit yourself out with four thousand gold pieces, equipment all of your choice. Take Yelena's share of treasure once its dished out (but not the equipment she has on her).

2. Take Yelena's equipment, start with just her equipment plus 100GP of gear and your spellbook (and all free spells you gain from levelling. You can have Yelena's spells known that a Wizard can cast). Take Yelena's share of treasure once its dished out.

Looking over the character at first glance everything seems to add up. Few things I should note-

1. Dealmaker trait doesn't really work with Kingmaker, please revise (equipment buying is done from a cities base value mostly.)

2. HP is 4d8+8 not 4d6+10, but yup 24 is correct.

3. You really don't like dumping stats down eh ;). Stats all add up though.

4. Doubt it will come up, but familiar has half of your HP.

I would add one comment, not having anyone in the party with craft feats is really going to hurt since we can't buy equipment from a large city...Malthir will be contributing at 5th with Master Craftsmen...but that only helps the armored characters...

Going out to dinner with the family. Will fix everything this evening.

Remember- you can develop a citys economy pretty quickly. Just focus on buildings that increase 'base value'- this is the number your worrying about when buying and selling in a city in your kingdom.

Tanner- Have a nice meal buddy. Liked the introduction post.

I'm planning to take Craft Wondrous Item next level.

Sovereign Court

4d6+8 sorry, not 4d8+8...

What if Ilya gets his standard wealth for his level, none of the equipment from Yelena except Tartuk's spellbook, and the Guardians keeps the potions of cure light wounds?

Alexander Kilcoyne wrote:

Fixed. Changed to Patient Optimist.

Alexander Kilcoyne wrote:

Four levels of wizard give him 4d6. A 12 Constitution gives him +1 hp per level, and the Toughness feat gives him +3 at first level and +1 ever level thereafter.

1: 1d6+4
2: 2d6+6
3: 3d6+8
4: 4d6+10

I don't see some people rolling for hp. Do we have a fixed system in place? Or am I supposed to be rolling?

Alexander Kilcoyne wrote:

In my personal experience, a dump stat is basically painting a target on your chest for inventive DMs. :)

HP is PFS style average- 4 for a Wizard on every level after first. Off for the night, but please lets get the ball rolling for leadership positions ;).

Not quite right.

The Toughness feat reads: "You gain +3 hit points. For every Hit Die you possess beyond 3, you gain an additional +1 hit point. If you have more than 3 Hit Dice, you gain +1 hit points whenever you gain a Hit Die (such as when you gain a level)."

So you only have 4d6+8 hp, sorry :)

They should have kept it like Beta, 3+1 per lvl, toughness was definitely worth taking in Beta...

Sorry only just spotted this.

Because of the large haul of cash from the Stag Lord's Fort etc, as well as the difficulty of poor Malthir to distribute loot with one spare share (as well as the extra gold to the others increasing their WBL too much)... I'd require you to outfit Ilya in one of the two methods I detailed above. The coinage alone from the Stag Lord's Fort should be about 2,000 gold pieces when its dished out.

I haste to add, i'm a fair DM, i'm not here to screw you over. But allowing you WBL in addition to the treasure share, or WBL minus treasure share, allows you the luxury of choice with equipment that the other characters haven't had.

I'll go with option 1:

1. Kit yourself out with four thousand gold pieces, equipment all of your choice. Take Yelena's share of treasure once its dished out (but not the equipment she has on her).

Sovereign Court

Kk thanks :).

Just FYI, Alex and I agreed to change my trait, so the True Strike now takes a standard action to activate, not a swift.

Your Humble Narrator

Peanut throwers/eaters rejoice!

Also-

Malthir's Custom Trait (revised)-

Inner Purity- Through diligence, prayer and practice you have learnt to channel your lay on hands ability through your own body without needing a hand free- and you heal one additional point of HP damage per three Paladin levels whenever you use lay on hands. Once per week you can use Channel Smite as the feat (by spending two lay on hands to channel as always).

No peanut throwing by me! Only eating! :)

One question... what happens if Malthir decides to take this feat later?

Cheers

I'll work on that if it happens ;). I would not recommend it though, much as I wouldn't recommend Favoured Enemy: Undead for the AP. It will certainly have its moment or two to shine though...

I wouldn't worry about it, a lot of my feats will be geared towards RP to be honest...definitely won't be the optimized Pali....if there is one

5th - Master Craftsmen, yes I will have the best armor that can be had, as will the party...
7th - Leadership, I know, you don't allow the sidekick...cohort...still having all of the followers should help to put together a good elite army unit! Maybe u will give an extra bonus to something else since I lose a pretty powerful follower...
9th, who knows, depends upon what we ecounter in # 3&4, really don't have my heart set on anything, but will not be channeled smite... :)

Sovereign Court

Your not losing your cohort- you just can't take him adventuring ;). You should still be make use of him or her in the background- and a spare NPC for a ruler slot is not a bad idea- I almost rolled Assassination once already!

If I am reading the Master Craftsman feat correctly, then Mal will have to take the Craft Magic Arms and Armor feat after taking Master Craftsman in order to actually enchant our armor. In that case, we will have to wait until level 9 to get custom magic armor.

On the other hand, if you took Leadership at 5th, would DM_AK be willing for your cohort to take craft arms and armour when they reach 5th level? Or did you already have someone in mind?

Except that you can't take Leadership before 7th level.

Duke of Kardas, First Sword of Iomedae HP:51/76 AC:27 F:+14, R:+8, W:+12 CMD:23/24 P:-1 Init:+0 AOO:+16

Cas is right, master craftsmen just gives you access to the craft magic arms and armor feat, so I will most likely NOT be taking it. Burning 2 feats will just be too much for me when I am already kind of planning to burn one with leadership...

HP: 49/60 AC: 22, T:13, FF:21, CMD:16. Fort:+5, Ref:+5, Will:+8(+7). Per:+14, Init:+0, AoO:+8

I could switch out Craft Wondrous for Craft Arms and Armour if you think it'll be more useful.

Maybe if we can talk Ilya into taking wondrous item at 5th... :)

Hmm... Ilya was planning on taking Augment Summoning at 5th level...

My general feeling is that Craft Wondrous will be more useful in the long run - us warrior types will just have to make due with what we can find/buy/get some NPC to enchant.

I'll noodle around with it. ;)

Remember you get 2 feats correct at 5th? Regular and a bonus wizard so you could do both Augment and a craft...

My comment was directed at Fenna, actually. I feel each character should feel free to take the feats they wish.

Hey guys. I'm officially lurking in your game since last friday. Been lurking in your kingdom building interlude. Great stuff btw, don't think I've ever seen such a fast paced pbp.
But I was wondering if there's any chance of seeing the maps you guys are talking about? I see the city map as Ilya post a link with every update but I can't find the world map anywhere. Do you have it online?
