Sorry for the delay. Been up for almost 36 hours trying to get the old house completely cleaned out for a final walkthrough this evening. I will update tomorrow (Thursday) sometime.

Part of the problem has been everytime I had a moment over the last day or so Paizo's website has been down.

Was this an elemental node - I am thinking Earth, and in my unconscious state, did we leave without destroying it? I need to destry four of them, and I am just wondering if I will know it when I see it based upon my attunement and Monastic Discipline.

Where is the info for factions?

What what are the perks of joining a faction?

Do people mind if I keep the wand of magic missiles?

Can we do item creation during this time?
Do others have requests for items?

We could backwards engineer the magic dagger and make magic weapons for the group.

Was the stone cult responsible for the fires at the inn? If not can we still attempt to solve that problem.

Renown points are used to get different benefits for different levels within the Faction. Not sure if DM Asmodeus is entertaining that. It is usually only for Adventurer's League Organized Play. The details are in the Adventurer's League rules.

Faction information links can be found on the campaign-info tab for this game.

The perks of the factions in this game will be mostly in the form of contacts, secret missions, special favors and information that is only available to characters within that faction.

You can do item creation at this time if you can afford it. The links to the different items that you have found are in the party loot log on the campaign info tab except for "Reszur" which I have not added as of yet.

If you want to destroy (Reverse Engineer) an item to learn the creation formula you may do so at this time. i.e. destroying "Reszur" would give you the formula and cost to make +1 weapons, etc.

The stone cult was not the cause of the fires, that will be learned later on in the campaign.

Faction reknown points will not be used as they are a Adventures League thing. However ranks within your faction will be and will unlock different perks as you achieve higher ranks within your chosen faction. I suggest that everyone choose one. You will start out at the lowest rank and this can be improved by completing assignments that are given to you by your faction as we go forward.

There are no scrolls or spellbooks available for sale or available to copy currently in Red Larch.


Also a question for the group.

What do you want to do about Molok's absence and him leveling. Do you want to wait for him before continuing? Or proceed with 4 and let him catch up when he gets back?

Also I am running this same game on The Tangledweb which is about to have a player drop and put them at four or five players. I could combine the two games as they are about to finish the tomb of moving stones as well.

If I combined the two games into one then one group would have to merge onto the other forum, is anyone here a member on the Tangledweb and what are your thoughts on making the two groups one?

I am not a member, and I would prefer they merge with us, if that is the course taken. Also, I am a little concerned that such a large group will get unruly as a PbP, but that is your call, DM Asmodeus.

I have added two potions of healing and deducted 100GP.

I suggest that we proceed without Molok, and he can catch up upon return. I say this because I do not know the extent of his absence, and waiting too long is probably not a good idea.

I get some more spell slots and access to 2nd level spells. Also my racial feature Reach the Blaze gets better and I can now cast burning hands 1/ long rest as a 1st level spell.

As for merging with the tangleweb group should be ok I suppose. I've never been there but I'm happy to give it a shot if that's what you want to do.

@Narnel, can't you make healing potions with your herbalism kit? Is that cheaper than buying them?

You keep what your group has found. I may not merge the groups, I am still undecided. If I do it will be awhile as they are just now entering the main chamber in the moving stones and will still have to deal with the Earth Priest.

Healing Potions
If you are proficient with a Herbalism Kit and have one then the ingredients grow quite common around these parts. You will need some Monarch butterfly wings and some Blisterwort mushrooms. The butterflies are commonly found all over and the Blisterwart grows only in caves. Once you have that you will need a alchemical base worth twenty five gold. Good distilled alcohol does the trick nicely. With that and about two days of downtime to work with it then you have a finished potion.

You could even do it over four days of traveling or adventuring if you worked on it at times of rest.

So you can make healing potions right now for 25 gold each.

If the group chooses to reverse engineer "Reszur" then the group will learn the formula to make +1 weapons that make no sound when cutting and give off a ten foot pale light when the name of the weapon is said.

That formula you obtain will give you the cost associated with enchanting weapons in this nature. You still would have to pay the cost to enchant a weapon but you would know hoe to do so.

I will look over everyone's sheets between now and Monday, make sure your faction choice is clearly marked and your rank will be Rank 1 in that faction. I will continue the game on Monday.

Ok back in a limited fashion...should be able to post at least 1x per day. Updated Molok (new HP, Champion Archetype with Improved critical) I think that was all he had....

Oh yeah Ember will take some time over the month to prepare some holy water and get together some ingredients and ask Kenna to make her a healing potion. (I'll spend 75gp on two make two flasks of Holy water and a healing potion.)

After looking at the factions I think the Order of the Gauntlet would probably suit Ember best.

Well if everyone agrees to reverse engineer the dagger and destroy it then I will give you the formula and cost to make +1 weapons. I do not know that you will have the sufficient coin as of yet however to actually make one.

Making a Scroll of Mage Armor would cost 100 gold pieces. Require 4 days time.

Researching a level 1 spell would cost 60 gold and require 2 days.
Then an additional 50gp and 2 hours to write it into your spellbook.

Researching a level 2 spell would cost 120 gold and require 5 days.
Then an additional 100gp and 4 hours to write it into your spellbook.

"Reszur"

A +1 dagger decorated with star motifs and a grip of night-blue leather. The dagger doesn’t make noise when it hits or cuts something.
The name “Reszur” is graven on the dagger’s pommel. If the wielder speaks the name, the blade gives off a faint, cold glow, shedding dim light in a 10-foot radius until the wielder speaks the name again.

Thanks! I added Reszur to my sheet and an additional 50gp because I would have made the two potions for half the cost (25 GP each) instead of buying them.

Doesn't work that way. You reverse engineer to get a formula/process that lets you make any type of +1 weapons. The cost to enchant make each weapon will be in the formula.

So once you had the formula/process from the reverse engineering of "reszur" then you would pay the cost that you learned from the formula to make a +1 weapon of your choice. This formula is not forgotten so you could make as many +1 weapons as you could get money for.
