Here's the OOC for my Carrion Crown PBP. If you need anything urgently here's my email/MSN: overfiend_87@msn.com
Javell DeLeon
Here it is.
Sorry, having a separate adventure trying to find this one. Didn't see a link earlier, so I went looking. Found the wrong one. Saw the link, found the right one.
With that being said, thanks for the shot Overfiend! I appreciate it!

I've got an extra hundred gold from one of my traits. I actually thought about using that for 2 CLW potions. I really had no other reason for it. So thought about going that route.
Is that cool with you, DM Aron?
I assume that's the rich family trait for the extra gold? I have no problem with that. There is an pharmacist in town so you can buy potions later in the adventure too. I have no problem with you starting out with a few potions.
Javell DeLeon
It is actually a trait that is from the Inner Sea Primer. If you don't have it, the trait is in the D20psfrd.
It's actually only 100gp above the normal limit.
Edit: I actually copied and pasted(from that site) all of them under my alias for an easier reference.
markofbane
Dotting.
Unfortunately I don't have enough gold to start with a potion, but I'll make it a priority. Until then, I'll just have to find a meat shield or two to keep between me and trouble...
Aron, I have Rauno using a pocketed scarf to store his spell components. I added the costs of the special scarf and a spell component pouch together, and added a half pound to the weight of the scarf. Does that sound reasonable?

okey will take a look but it'll most likely be okey :) Just looked at you're shet and you have 4 traits? Think I said only 2 traits, one being the campaign one.
DM Aron Marczylo
Check his feat ;)
ahhhh...thought it only gave 1 trait. Fine, no problem.

@Overfiend: Just to let you know(if you don't already) Deevor is giving you a holler in the your Gamer Connection thread.
yeah I just dunno what to do.
I had promised him a spot, but he couldn't get in contact due to family emergencies.
Tempted to say no but I'm a bit of a soft touch so willing to say yes and then convert the game for 5 players which should be easy enough as I simply follow a x loot and enemies by 1.5

That's always a tough call. It stinks you even have to make it.
Javell DeLeon
I was like "Wow! Man, what a way to start if off!" That was pretty cool.
And I agree, it is quite rare. I guess that's what makes it so cool. :)
Which made me a little nervous on the second one, but it turned out much better than I thought it would.
DM Aron Marczylo
If you had failed the diplomacy check at the begining with the thugs it could've gone very badly. They were on the verge of stealing the coffin and burning it if you weren't so silver tongued.

Score one for the silver tongue then! ;)
Man it's a good thing that was such and awesome roll. *WHEW! That was a close one!*

Just means you're using up all the good rolls on diplomacy and get all the 1s in combat :D

:)
Hey DM Aron, I was just thinking if it would be alright to switch one of my CLW potions for a Inflict Light Wounds potion? Just one.
I have a bigger question though, is it even possible to make?
If it is, then maybe that's what they mean by someone "drinking" themselves to death. :) Ha! Ha! Get it?! Drinking themselves to....
Yeah, okay. I'll stop with the bad jokes.
markofbane
Javell, my wife and I have a running joke, that every one out of twenty jokes I tell is killer funny. But it can be a long, long dry spell as I go through the other nineteen. And lord help her if I have two funny ones in a row, 'cause it is going to be a long, long time for her until the next good one. What's your magic number? :)
Just kidding! I love your infectious attitude. You bring a lot to the OOC threads. :)

LOL! That's just funny stuff!
But honestly, your wife laughs at your jokes? Hm. Interesting. You don't suppose there's is a How to make your wife laugh at your jokes for dummies! book out there do you? No reason, I was...you know...just wondering is all. By no means is it for me, nooooo, my wife constantly laughs at my jokes. It's for this other guy. Yeah, this other guy. Aheh heh, um, yeah. :)
Thanks! I appreciate the compliment!
Javell DeLeon
Oh, I didn't say she laughs at my jokes, I said she laughs at one out of twenty of my jokes. Those are not odds you want to take to Vegas! And yet, she still puts up with me...
Yeah, I know. I just wished I had your odds... :)
In all honesty, I've got a pretty good one myself. ;)

@Overfiend: Okay, I've seen this issue on the boards, so I guess I better ask so I'll know one way or another.
In regards to Lay on Hands in the Core Rulebook, it does not technically call the use of this ability being "postitive energy." Unless, of course, it has been errataed somewhere and I haven't seen it.
I checked the anti-paladin as well, no wording of "negative energy" for it's Touch of Corruption.
It's mostly one thread, where, most think it's not positive energy but there is one poster who thinks it is, even though it doesn't specifically say.
So, I guess I'm wondering how you are going to rule it, seeing how you're the DM. (That is, if I actually make it to 2nd level)
I'm good with whatever you feel is the way to go, just this way, if it's a no go, we can figure out how to go about healing him.

I'd rule on it, but first I'd like ot have a look a this thread. I don't see why it isn't but I'll have a look.

I think this is the kind of thing you ask before submitting a Dhampir Paladin tbh...
I read through the read myself but i'll also keep out of it lol. Note theres a much longer thread on this subject somewhere if you search for it.
Edit: That said, I do believe the DM is entitled to say the deity or force that grants your divine power trumps the negative energy affinity of Dhampir.

Yeah I agree, but ofcourse that will only last as long as you adhear to the other tenants of a Paladin (making sure not to have your alignment move by doing something overly evil or chaotic enough to shift the alignment) then the divine power form your deity will trump that.
Javell DeLeon

I could see questioning it if I was adamant about me being able to use it. Probably would have been best but it wasn't a main concern for me.
The way I see it, if it's cool, then great! If it's not, then all the more of a challenge! :)
Either way, I'm good.
Javell DeLeon
How about this as an option.
Maybe a temple of Pharasma has priests that channel negative energy. Being neutral I would guess they would have priests channeling both types of energy.
So, maybe, it would be possible to purchase Inflict light wounds potions?
I'm just throwing something out there, I'm really no good with this kind of stuff.
Especially since I have never even considered the possibility of an Inflict Light Wounds potion. I mean, really? Just seems weird.

as I said, I'm ruling positive energy, but it won't give you any negative effects as it comes from one of your paladin powers.
Deevor
Just thought I'd put my thoughts on the energy thing in...Paladins use Positive Energy, Anti-paladins negative...thus I guess a truly neutral god might have both.
Paladins have to be aligned Lawful Good, so they won't be doing the negative energy stuff as that is an evil act, which would mean they would change alignment and loose their powers.
it just confirms your ruling Aron.

As I said in the in-game thread, this will help you guys come up with places you or your characters would want to go to
A. Town Square
This is the main square where announcements are made and at times you often see a shaggy old dog sitting there. The town's folk call him Old River and he's the Town's dog. He has no owner though he has become a mascot of somkind. You even see one kid running off alone and then the dog gets up and chases after the child.
B. The Posting Poles
The best sources for local news in Ravengro are the posting poles located throughout the town. Here one can find dozens of messages tacked to one of the five huge posts jutting out of the ground generally, all five posting poles have identical notices, but periodically one or two messages might be missing from one of the poles.
C. The Laughing Demon
A large tavern with a picture of a demon on it's back in teary laughter. Passing near the area you can hear the roar of laughter, even though it sounds like only one man who's laughing.
D.Ravengro Town Hall
In classic small-town style, the people of Ravengro use this all-purpose facility for virtually everything, including council meetings, wedding receptions, and, when it rains, even the annual cook-off.
E. Temple of Pharasma
This temple is devoted to Pharasma, the Lady of Graves. Ravengro’s only religious structure, the temple is also the town’s most elaborate building.
F. Ravengro General Store
Goods of all kinds can be procured here, especially tools and everyday items such as pots and pans.
G. Ravengro Forge
'nuff said there I think.
H. Jominda’s Apothecary
Best place to find anything on the special substances table in pathfinder core. You notice the Sheriff is often hanging around, looking in the window at Jominda.
It's embraessing that you has a stranger have noticed this in town before both Jominda and the majority of the town it seems, but the sheriff isn't so much spying on her as admiring her.
I. Ravengro Jail
Ravengro itself has never been a crime-ridden town (despite—or perhaps because of—the presence of Harrowstone), and its relatively small jail has always been more than enough to handle the town’s criminals (mostly public drunkards, vandals, or other minor thugs who rarely spend more than a few days in a cell). There are two guards you always see on duty, sitting around and looking rarther bored, though the sounds of someone singing something loud with the occassional hiccup comes from inside one of the cells.
J. The Silk Purse
This is effectively a pawn brokers where if the farmers need a few extra gold peices they pawn their jewlery or something else of worth to pay off the tax collectors. There is a mixture of jewlery and precious stones. One ring in particular has a tag on it saying: ring of feather falling, 2,200 gp
K. The Outward Inn
A beautiful looking inn this place comes highly recommended by anyone. Just as you walk past you hear someone playing on a lute on a lute. This looks like the perfect place to go for entertainment and to relax.
L. The Unfurling Scroll
This building is part school and part magic shop for any who have the coin to spend or interest. Being a home for education there are a lot of books here, some with information on the history of the town.
M. Council Member’s Home
There are four members of the Ravengro town council. Most live in generously-sized houses on the outskirts of town.
M1: Hearthmount Estate
M2: Straelock Estate
M3: Faravan Estate
M4: Muricar Estate
N. The Lorrimor Place
Again, 'nuff said...yes I'm quoting Stan Lee
O. Harrowstone Memorial
A 25-foot-tall, moss-covered stone statue that overlooks the river. The statue depicts a proud, muscular human man dressed in leathers and wielding a truncheon. There is a plaque under the statue with a list of names.
P. The Restlands
Behind the Funebrial is a large stretch of moorland reserved for interring Ravengro’s dead. Thanks to the Pharasmin church’s influence in town, Ravengro’s graveyard is large and well tended. Tradition dictates that whenever one passes by (or through) the Restlands, one must always first draw a spiral on her heart as a sign of respect. The sign wards against the risk that the traveler’s passage will disturb the sleep of the departed.
Q. Gibs Hephenus’s Shack
This is the home of the man who the group met. The one who was leading the thugs in the memorial. Whener you pass by you see him with a war razor, slicing a peice of wood into a shape, leering in your direction.
R. Harrowstone
This reminder of Ravengro’s original purpose looms over the town from atop its bleak hilltop, a constant inspiration for tall tales and bad dreams.

Thought I'd take this discussion over here so as not to distract from the game thread. Let me see if I understand the Poison Rules correctly. I looked up Giant Centipede in the PRD and am using that as an example. I have no idea if that is what we fought, but in that case see if you agree on the following:
Round 1
Poisoned by Giant Centipede 1
Poisoned by Giant Centipede 2 (This attack may have been negated...not sure)
Poisoned by Giant Centipede 1 on AoO.
Since all are the same type of poison just three instances the DC for the first bite would be 13, Second 15, and Third 17. For 1d3 Dex damage each this round.
On round two Darcy would make a single Fort Save with a DC of 17 (15 is second attack was negated)for another 1d3 Dex Damage
On round three is she hasn't made the save yet she again makes a DC 17 (or 15) save or takes another 1d3 Dex damage
This continues until she makes a save, or the 6 rounds have passed.
If she were bitten again in say round three the save for that bite would be 19 (or 17) for the next three rounds, then back to 13 for the reminder of the poison from the round three attack. (I think that is the case here...might just remain at 19 until the second poison is out of her body.
Is this the way everyone else views the poison rules...or have I misinterpreted something?
Javell DeLeon
Here is a link that may help: Poison
Edit: I'm actually sorry to say, it looks like you are right, Scranford. :P
Man that's waaayyyyy too involved.
I really didn't realize that the poison rules were so freaking involved.
I'll give Paizo there props, they really made poison far more deadly than the old school rules. I guess that makes sense, though, being poison.
Fortunately, you saved. Pretty dang good rolls for having a zero modifier. Whew!

Hey all,
I've seen that Skyrn has posted recently, but if you ever find that you're in need of a healer I'm looking for a game for my Changeling Oracle.
