Your chick has oreo hair. Why should mine have to be blonde?

I would but Dan does not like PBP so much. I've extended invites before and he didn't seem too enthused. Grant may be interested, though I think he'd prefer a fantasy setting. I feel bad, he's still waiting on posts for Dragonthrones :( You think I should see about him? Then we just play 1 character each or something. I feel like 8 players would be a doozy.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Fair enough, Dan's a purist. I would have loved to watch his face when he read the description of the Urban Barbarian archetype.
Grinding his teeth as he reads the passage through narrowed eyes, "BLASPHEMY!!!"
Sulphur rains from the sky and the book bursts into flames
Yeah, bone. If Grant and/or Cori sign on, I'd be happy to just play as Cosic. I have stuff in mind for Gwen but Jack is my primary and has been treated as such. We can still introduce her just for some perspective then arbitrarily kill her off after the point is made. George RR Martin would be proud, lol!

I would like to vote giving the Scholar class 8 skill points instead of 6. I was reading some of the comments and many people suggested that. It's definitely a skill-junkie class, so I'd like to maximize that aspect of it. But only if you agree as well. This would benefit Gwen and not just Kalyna. I hope you're well and I hope we can continue with this game later in the week (school-work depending).

Hey guy, you should take a look at the stuff on the d20modernpf website and compare your exotic feats to them. No need to scrap them but you could just mod them for what is already being offered. Just a thought.
And what did we decide on scoped weapons and sneak attack?
*********************************
Firearm Rate of Fire
Single Shot
This is a single shot per each attack granted by the PC's Base Attack Bonus.
Semi-Automatic
This is a full-attack action, you can fire one additional time this round. All of your attack rolls take a –2 penalty when using semi-automatic.
Burst Fire
As a standard action, the character fires 3 – 10 rounds. On a successful attack, the first round will hit and for every 5 points above the target's Armor Class, the character gains an additional hit.
Automatic Fire
Automatic is a full round action and a character can fire in a cone (see below). All individuals within the cone (30') are targets and each must be rolled separately, with a modifier of -4. In addition, targets are unable to use any concealment abilities.
Machine guns only have autofire settings and can't normally fire single shots. These weapons can fire as cone (60') attack, each with a -4 to hit.
If there is only one target aimed at, as a full round action on a successful attack, the first round will hit and for every 5 points above the targets Armor Class the character gains an additional hit.
Note: A critical hit or sneak attack damage is only applied to the first bullet-strike, regardless of how many rounds end up hitting the target.

I actually like their rules better. We'll use those. Even the shotgun rule works for me. I want to keep melee weapons the way I have them. As for Exotic feats for types of firearms, the penalties will just be reduced by half. So if you take Exotic Weap. Prof. (automatic), that -4 is now a -2. For semi-autos and shotguns, the -2 is now a -1. These are feats for gaining extra proficiency with certain types of weapons, so exotic firearms still require an ExoticWeapProf feat to use them. I personally do not like the "spread" aspect of shotguns, because they actually do not do that in real life, I hear. But zombies don't exist in real life either, so hey, whatevs.
Scoped weapons allow sneak attacks to happen within the weapon's full range. Without a scope, it is limited to 30ft. This is quite a benefit but that's just because sniper rifles are that kick-ass.

Let me know if I did not word this correctly. I'm rereading it and confusing myself.
Example: To use a Heavy Machine gun, you would need ExoticWeapProf (Heavy Machine Gun). To get the penalty for using it automatically reduced by half, you also need ExoticWeapProf (automatic). This feat applies to all automatic weapons.

Okay. They're called Weapon Class Specialization feats. WCS. Bam.
Feel free to continue on. I'll probably just post a little blurb in response to Miss Cavendish. But yeah, take her to the next step, sir. I'm in Reactive GM Mode. Ask any questions you have about the environments and what you're able to do.

Thanks for the update! Please choose one of the following Gestalt Perks:
Force of Personality: Add your bonus from Rake's Smile to your Ki Pool. This may seem bland, but if you think about it, a Ki Pool allows you to do lots of stuff, so you would be able to do that stuff more often, or virtually all of the time.
or
Walk Tall: Add your bonus from Rake's Smile to your initiative check when using Devoted Guardian (1/2 monk lvl + Rake's Smile during a surprise round). This increases your chances to act first in a surprise round, thus negating being flat-footed. In addition, against demoralized opponents, add your Rake's Smile bonus to your Unbalancing Counter DC. I beefed this one up because they are circumstantial.
