Eddie Brock

Aye, a rest it is then, well what do you all think about all this so far? We've seen remains of people, signs that others are here, traps, and even ran in to that crazy fellow earlier. You think there are others in here? Maybe other's who attempted the trails before us? I agree with Savannah we probably should do a watch. Eddie will begin preparing his lantern for the night, asking chorlo for help seeing as how it's his specialty.
GM Eddv

There is no door to speak of in this alcove, but the wand itself appears to be a wand of nap stack - it lets you rest for 2 hours and have it treated like a rest for 8. Very Convenient.
While spellcrafting the wand Chorlo also notices that the water in this fountain appears to be magical in some way too. Taking 10 on the check Chorlo has seen magic like this before - it is a healing fountain. Any person can drink from it once per 24 hours and heal as though they were healed by a Cure Moderate Wounds potion.
Chorlo Fasthands_
|
"Savannah and the rest please drink from here and it will heal your wounds. I will use the wand on you and keep watch then I will rest for a few hours then we can press on?"
Chorlo explained what the wand does before casting it.
Savannah Kurgess
|
Savannah does as Chorlo asks and drinks from the fountain.
Healing: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 5) + 3 = 11 Fully healed.
Once the wand has been used on her, Savannah pulls out her own bedroll, curls up in it, and goes to sleep.
Eddie Brock
|
Eddie follows along as well and drinks from the fountain.
Healing: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (5, 7) + 3 = 15
I'll just shut my eyes for a bit, thank you Chorlo.
GM Eddv
|
The groups rest goes without incident and they are left with two options for continuing - into the damp looking area or into what looks like some kind of crypt.
Savannah Kurgess
|
After everyone's ready to continue, Savannah pulls her backpack on and asks Chorlo, "Which way's your gut guiding you?"
You've got to go first to check for traps. Might as well let you pick the direction. Haha.
Chorlo Fasthands_
|
"Back out then to the left? I am right handed and they say go the way you of your dominant hand but lets try the opposite." Chorlo says while going back to check for traps.
Trap finding: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 1 = 11
Savannah Kurgess

Savannah follows behind Chorlo, with her spear in her hand. She prays to Kurgess, causing the spear to glow brightly. Casting light and following Chorlo.
Eddie Brock
|
I hope the dice Gods start showing mercy on you Chorlo haha!
Left it is, i'll hang towards the back this time, still a little bit sore. Eddie says as he rubs his ribs. After Chorlo shows eddie the finer things about Lantern lighting, he'll have his lit as he brings up the rear of the party.
GM Eddv

The corridor opens up into a winding catacomb. The walls are skillfully carved with deep recesses where bodies might have once lain. All that remains now are cobwebs, dust, and the tattered remains of ancient clothing. The stench of rotting flesh is overpowering here, but the source is not evident.
Chorlo's obliviousness leads to this being quite a dramatic discovery as the source becomes clear - a bloated gray skinned human sized creature with giant yellow growths all over it charging wildly at him
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 = 101d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Fortunately for him, his leather armor provides just enough defense to protect him from the charging undead.

Still just waiting on Vulen, will proceed tomorrow with him botted
Vulen

sorry little busy yesterday. So my total str dmg ATM is 5. So do I count my str as 15 or is it the rule of two pts equal 1 so effectively I am treating it as 16 str?
Vulen will Swift action to aspect of a monkey and try to climb over the book shelf.
climb: 1d20 + 13 - 4 - 3 ⇒ (1) + 13 - 4 - 3 = 7
the -4 is acp and the -3 is str loss failed his move action so he will try again with standard
climb: 1d20 + 13 - 4 - 3 ⇒ (9) + 13 - 4 - 3 = 15
also can I get moved on map to other side of blue
GM Eddv

Your Str is effectively 15 but since its ability damage takes effect in 2s, so really its 16 as you say
Vulen attempts to climb over the crypts and finds once he is up there that there is simply not enough clearance for him to stand, but he might be able to crawl through.
Eddie charges in with his big hammer and smashes the ground ferociously making a great thud that echoes through the crypt.
Chorlo said he moved, but didn't move his token. I have taken the liberty of moving his token to reflect his post.
Lucas waits for a chance to move into melee while Kurgess holy power once more radiates from the buff Savannah.

Eddie and Vulen both EXPLODE their respective zombies
Two more fort saves Eddie
Combat over
The crypt is now silent now that the mushroom zombies explode though you do see an empty back sitting beside a pile of human carnage.
Sitting atop a large bloodstain, this pack holds some rotten rations, a map (detailing the area and pointing out the entrance to the crypt), a potion of cure moderate wounds, a pouch with 13 gp, and a small handbill (of a type typically found posted in taverns). Although faded, the handbill clearly reads as a notice of employment, telling all those interested to meet at “The Ranger’s Lament.”

Well that was fun eh? He then looks for his pal Chorlo. Chorlo you alright mate? We cleared them out I think, found a map to the Crypt as well, look. Eddie hands over the handbill and map to the crypt to the others.

No one else is still wounded, correct?
---
Seeing Eddie go through the backpack, Savannah wanders over to see what he's found. As he passes out the handbill and map, she looks thoughtful.
"So this backpack came from... The robbers we're after? The ones who came through Kassen heavily armoured and set out to this tomb..." She thinks again for a moment, and then passes on the handbill to someone else.
"The Ranger's Lament? That's not in Kassen, is it? Has anyone heard of it?"
Untrained Knowledge Geography/Local, Max DC 10: 1d20 ⇒ 15

After musing over the handbill, Savannah rifles through the rest of the backpacks contents.
Rations are garbage. The gold's for sharing. The potion of cure moderate wounds... Who doesn't have any potions left? Someone other than I should take that. I'll keep it on my list of group loot util someone else claims it.

"I am fine yes, good thing for that fountain back there healed my wounds. I feel good." Chorlo holds his lantern high up looking at the map and handbill.
"This crypt is interesting, if they have sent people here before does anyone know if they lost people at other times they were sent in?" Chorlo offers to hold the potion for Savannah as he doesn't have one.
"I forgot about those who came through town, it doesn't look like them though."
