Going to have to do some changes here. The wood noise was the door opening.

Sorsha left a torch burning at the end of the hall I believe And walked back to the party. Adria heard the door and did the light spell on the pebble thing but with the torch sitting there, the pebble did not reveal much. Haruk and Sorsha will be in front as they both made moves to walk to the door.

Right now Sorsha is walking to her torch Haruk is walking toward the door.

Everyone sees the following.

A small green head pokes around the corner looking at the torch then looks down the hall and sees the 5 of you and lets out a screech of warning.

Map updated.

Round 1 Combat begins

First post goes first the goblins will go after 3 posts.

All areas on the map are considered in light now from the torches and light stone.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Alright, I am a little confused. I had thought we were already in the room with the door, and that the sound was coming down the hallway everybody is currently placed in. No way would I have walked past everybody and gone into the room

Na everyone was in the hallway. I could not post last night so it got confused. The sound Adria heard was the door opening and the goblins coming out. That all happened while Sorsha walked back down the hallway to tell everyone what she found.

Nilus' Consumables Nilus' New Friends Paladin 7 Sentinel 5/MT 5 Guardian | AC 27 T 16 F 26 DR 5/EPIC | HP 166 | F +18 R +13 W +17 | Init +8 | Perc +13

Nilus walks calmly up to the first goblin in the hall and disarms it.
Attaque au Fer!
Disarm: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

Disarm:
Disarm
You can attempt to disarm your opponent in place of a melee attack. If you do not have the Improved Disarm feat, or a similar ability, attempting to disarm a foe provokes an attack of opportunity from the target of your maneuver. Attempting to disarm a foe while unarmed imposes a –4 penalty on the attack.

If your attack is successful, your target drops one item it is carrying of your choice (even if the item is wielded with two hands). If your attack exceeds the CMD of the target by 10 or more, the target drops the items it is carrying in both hands (maximum two items if the target has more than two hands). If your attack fails by 10 or more, you drop the weapon that you were using to attempt the disarm. If you successfully disarm your opponent without using a weapon, you may automatically pick up the item dropped.

Nilus smacks the weapon out of the goblin's hand.
Disarm is an attack of my CMB vs their CMD not AC

I actually knew that rule Nilus =P

Red and Blue are Goblin warriors holding a shortsword and light shield.

Brown, Yellow, and Green are Rouges wielding 2 broken dogslicers.

Red has been disarmed

Still Round 1.

The squares are 5 foot each by the way.

Nilus' Consumables Nilus' New Friends Paladin 7 Sentinel 5/MT 5 Guardian | AC 27 T 16 F 26 DR 5/EPIC | HP 166 | F +18 R +13 W +17 | Init +8 | Perc +13

Also depending on their CMD, I might have knocked things out of both hands. Still pretty sweet that my first Disarm with a maneuver monkey worked!

Yea I read that but there is CMD is 13.

Dark Archive

I looks like the pathway is wide enough for us to slide by eachother. If not, just move me back where I was...

Adria moves to back up Nilus. She is impressed by his dazzling display of swordsmanship. She blows a kiss toward him, and as she opens her hand this kiss becomes a sparkling cloud of ethereal glowing dust which falls on his shoulders.

Guidance: +1 on one attack roll, saving throw, or skill check.

Yea think of you standing in a square 5 by 5. You would have to be pretty big for someone not to get past you so that's no problem. Also I will allow anyone to squeeze by Nilus and the goblin to get into that space I marked with a star. Of course you will have to do acrobatics at a -2 due to the slippery conditions. And if you fail its attack of opportunity. But the goblin has no weapon so not a lot of danger there anyway.

Round 1 Summary so far.

Nilus disarms the red Goblin.

Adria moves forward and uses Guidance on Nilus.

The goblins will go in one more player post.

Haruk, Sorsha, and Garrand all have an action.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

For some reason, my phone will not let me view the map. Keeps giving me some odd error message about passing on something, and to reload the page, which never works.

The sorcerer intones a few in Infernal, and a rainbow blast shoots forth from his hand. Casting Color Spray, definitely trying to avoid my allies n hit as many goblins as possible. DC 13, I believe.

When you get that message just hit the X to cancel it out and it should bring it up no problem.

I moved Haruk based of your wishes you will get an Attack of Opp from an unarmed goblin but I still think it makes the most sense for you to move 30 and cast.

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 Miss

Haruk casts his Color Spray on 3 Goblins!

If its a cone It would go pretty much like this right?
XXXX
.XX
..X

1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 Yellow down
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18 Brown Up
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12 Blue Down

2d4 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3The creature is unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 3 rounds. Then they will be blinded and stunned for 1d4 ⇒ 3rounds. Then stunned for 1 more round.

Goblins Go.

Red Goblin takes a move action away from Nilus.

Nilus takes an Attack of Opportunity. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Hits 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12Damage

Red goblin goes into -HP as the slash across its back makes it fall into the sewage.

Red goblin is down.

Dark Archive

I think this was the wrong door. Nice goin' Haruk! Adria teases him knowing full well she goaded him into knocking.

Only an evil priestess could joke at a time like this...

The Green goblin comes to attack Nilus

The Brown Goblin comes to attack Haruk.

Nilus 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (18) - 6 = 12, 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (12) - 6 = 6

Haruk 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (5) - 6 = -1, 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (19) - 6 = 13

They all miss if Haruk still has a 14 AC. Haruk please update your character as soon as you can it shows you have 15 HP so I have to assume that was from level 3.

Round 1 Summary

Nilus disarmed red.

Adria Used Guidance on Nilus.

Haruk moved into harms way and cast Color spray taking 2 goblins out of the fight.

Red Goblin tried to get some distance between it and Nilus and died in the process.

The only 2 goblins left awake Brown and Green moved in to attack but with -6 to hit with broken dual wielding weapons both missed.

Sorsha and Garrand have round 1 actions still.

Its still round 1

Nilus' Consumables Nilus' New Friends Paladin 7 Sentinel 5/MT 5 Guardian | AC 27 T 16 F 26 DR 5/EPIC | HP 166 | F +18 R +13 W +17 | Init +8 | Perc +13

Nilus lunges into the Goblin green one in front of him. Lunge: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Serpent de frappe!

If this drops the Goblin Nilus 5' steps into the room.

These are round 2 actions.

Round 2
Adria slips past the swordsman deftly, the scent of her perfume wofting into the chamber doing it's best to combat the horrible stench of the City Refuse in the pool. 'Scuse me she whispers feigning manners.

If greeny isn't dead it gets an AAO

Fending off the weaponless creature's clawing attack she bends to one knee and jabs her dagger into the mortor between two cobbles. The light of the torches dims momentarily and there is a wind as a wave of dark energy erupts from the knifetip.

Channel negative energy, selective on goblins, 1d6 ⇒ 3

Nilus' Consumables Nilus' New Friends Paladin 7 Sentinel 5/MT 5 Guardian | AC 27 T 16 F 26 DR 5/EPIC | HP 166 | F +18 R +13 W +17 | Init +8 | Perc +13

Greenie isn't weaponless....I stabbed him. I disarmed reddie, who then died from an AoO

I will hold off on the Attacks of Opp until we actually get into round 2.

Female Halfling, 4 Per +13 SM +10 Init +6 F +2(1) R +9 W +3 AC 17 (T 15 FF 13) CMD 15 HP 21(20)

She doesn't see much that she can do and be effective at this point, so she unlimbers her sling and casts a bullet at Mr Red Goblin 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 5 - 4 = 7 for 1d3 ⇒ 2 damage. Sorsha then moves as indicated.

Nilus' Consumables Nilus' New Friends Paladin 7 Sentinel 5/MT 5 Guardian | AC 27 T 16 F 26 DR 5/EPIC | HP 166 | F +18 R +13 W +17 | Init +8 | Perc +13

The aid another action is very useful. +2 AC or +2 Attack is big at low levels.

Start Round 2. Garrand you would have 2 round 2 actions but combat is over.

Nilus does 6 to green goblin.

1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4,1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10

Green then falls over from the Negative energy channel.

The remaining Brown Goblin Runs away Haruk would attack of Opp but I don't see how he would kill it in one round so the goblin gets away.

You have 2 goblins unconscious still but there is nothing left to attack you.

Combat Over.

That is 5 sets of small filthy poorly made leather armor. 2 short swords. 2 small shields. 6 broken dog slicers. and you find 20 gold in assorted coins where the goblins made their lair.

2 goblins are unconscious and one is just at 0 HP. What do you do with them.

Don't worry I am going to turn up the difficulty. That was 2 more goblins then you were supposed to face as it was and it still was not enough for anyone to take even a point of damage! lol

Nilus' Consumables Nilus' New Friends Paladin 7 Sentinel 5/MT 5 Guardian | AC 27 T 16 F 26 DR 5/EPIC | HP 166 | F +18 R +13 W +17 | Init +8 | Perc +13

Nilus dispatches the goblins with quick stabs to the heart. He wipes his longsword clean and gestures down the passage with it.

One ofem got away, probably going to bring its cousins back here, we should get going.

Anyone keeping a loot journal?

Just rolling dice nothing to see here...

1d100 ⇒ 69

1d100 ⇒ 96

If you make a loot log I will link it in the header.

Male Elf Bard/4 HP:23/23 | AC 17/13/14| CMD 16 | F+2 R+7 W+4

Just got up and found I'd missed the whole thing <sigh>

Garrand stops relating his epic tale (Bardic Performance) and relaxes the tension on his bow.

"Well that went well, all things considered"

There had been so many people in the way he was afraid to loose an arrow for fear of hitting a comrade. He'll cast detect magic and view the area.

Dark Archive

You hum a nice tune, Garrand. You would make a nice addition to the Hell-Choir in the temple of Asmodeus. Though I wouldn't recommend applying...

No magic.

Yea next combat do not forget your +1/+1

Male Elf Bard/4 HP:23/23 | AC 17/13/14| CMD 16 | F+2 R+7 W+4

"It wasn't a tune. It was an epic poem that was supposed to be inspiring. It probably would have been better if I'd spoken it loud enough for everyone to hear it." Garrand confesses ruefully.

Sorsha found the next mark it leads straight ahead.

Unless there is anything else you want to do, you press on.

Sorsha you come to another junction Perception to find the next mark.

See the new map.

Which way does the sword indicate?

To the right or North is the way the sword points.

You hear a strange noise from the South. Something like mumbling?

Male Elf Bard/4 HP:23/23 | AC 17/13/14| CMD 16 | F+2 R+7 W+4

Try to make out what's being said, perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

The noise you strain to hear makes you dizzy and gives you a headache. For a few seconds.

Female Halfling, 4 Per +13 SM +10 Init +6 F +2(1) R +9 W +3 AC 17 (T 15 FF 13) CMD 15 HP 21(20)

Sorsha puts her torch on the ground, again. She holds up her hand towards her party, then moves back.

"Our path leads to the north, but i heard what may be mumbling to the south. I doubt it's hellknights. They tend to yell 'Die scum!' clearly and distinctly, so it's likely an inhabitant of this fine establishment. I'm for leaving it alone, but you may want to watch your back as we turn the corner."

She then moves back to her torch, picks it up and moves on, towards the north.

Male Elf Bard/4 HP:23/23 | AC 17/13/14| CMD 16 | F+2 R+7 W+4

I'd like to make a knowledge check but I'm not sure which one. Actually all the knowledge is coming from the same source (his head) so I'll just make a roll and you can tell me...

knowledge: 1d20 ⇒ 12 +7 for dungeoneering or nobility, +3 for everything else.

How about the rest of you?

Garrand as you come to the corner you strain to hear and like i said before the noise makes you dizzy and give you a headache for just a moment.

OFC I made a loot log, because I'm obsessive compulsive. I only figured the shortswords were of any value.

Let's leave whatever it is alone.

Nilus coined the term KnowledgeWhatever in one of my other games. It works fine for me lol.

Garrand:
You know of one creature told about in stories that its very speech can make your mind clouded. A Gibbering Mouther. Disgusting, loathsome, and hungry—these are the only words that properly describe the gibbering mouther. A foul beast that lurks in underground caves, sewers, and nightmares, mouthers have no societal, ecological or religious significance other than their ability to drive those that listen to them mad. Some scholars believe that gibbering mouthers are a lesser variant of the much more dangerous shoggoth, while others theorize they are a punishment by some powerful being or deity inflicted on those who have offended it.

Male Elf Bard/4 HP:23/23 | AC 17/13/14| CMD 16 | F+2 R+7 W+4

Garrand grimaces, "That makes my brain hurt just listening to it. I only know of one creature who's very speech can make your mind clouded. A Gibbering Mouther. You are probably right, it's best to avoid the creature."

Dark Archive

Adria peeks around the corner to the south cautiously.
knowledgewhatever: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Sorsha's right, thats not the sound of hell knights. My freakin head hurts. Let's kill them and make them stop...

** spoiler omitted **

I just used knowledge whatever to indicate that I had the exact same bonus in every knowledge skill. Right now they aren't the same because I decided to diversify.

Yea sorry I brought that up as a joke not to say that you can lump all of the knowledge skills together.

Dark Archive

We could kill it with ranged attacks. I doubt it would touch any of us at all. mmmmmmm....Xp! Course, GM no doubt has a nasty surpise for an overconfident idiot like me, haha!
