Back Story:
Sorsha is a member of the vast halfling Brittleflower family. The Brittleflowers have lived/infested/blessed Westcrown since time immemorial. The most famous member of the family (Sorsha's second cousin twice removed) was also the cause of the family's disgrace. Haldrop Brittleflower was a paladin of Aroden when the god snuffed it. He died, with many other Brittleflowers, in the fight against the House of Thrune. Thanks to him all Brittleflowers everywhere were banned from serving the Crown and the great noble houses for fifty years. The ban has expired but the Brittleflowers are still mostly excluded from servant jobs.
Sorsha has lived by her wits since she could walk. Her mother and father still live in Westcrown. Dad (Murvin) Brittleflower is a stable hand who has been accused, but never convicted (he says proudly), of horse thievery. Mother (Nessa) Brittleflower is a card reader and fortune teller. Her claim to fame is that she picked "Sulky Gal", a 100 to 1 shot, as the winner in the Westcrown Derby five years back. Of her five siblings, three (Stan, Moira & Beff) are working with Dad, one (Nobby) is a sailor and the other (Nelda) works as a scribe for the city government. No one knows how Nelda landed her soft job and she isn't saying.
Sorsha herself has mostly worked as a lookout, but lately she's been branching out into custom or specialty work. She's had incentive to throw herself into her work lately as her ex-boyfriend, one of Nobby's former shipmates, Till Hardfinger, threw her over for a gnome. Heartbroken, scorned and hurt, Sorsha has been looking for ways to occupy herself that do not involve sailors.
